The filet and the porter house steak were great and the lobster mashed potatoes INCREDIBLE! The salmon was also really good as well. I would definitely recommend Mastros. The service was great! The experience was everything that we could have expected and then some. The atmosphere was warm, with heavy curtains separating the dining room from the bar and waiting area, and the wait staff were attentive without being bothersome. The real star of this place, however is the food. This was our first time here, and while the portion sizes for the steaks are right on the menu, it was the portion sizes for the sides that really shocked and amazed. The side dishes are really meant to serve 4+ people, and the desserts are also sharable. I had the New York strip and a baked potato. I thought since it was a big fancy restaurant that the food would take forever, but I was pleasantly surprised at how quick everything was. My steak was perfect and I loved the baked potato. I wouldn't suggest getting cocktails unless you are ready to spend a lot of money. Our server was very nice and super attentive. The lights were very dim, but when my eyes adjusted it was fine. Lastly, I loved the live music! We all thought they ranked up there with some of the best steaks we have ever had. It was very noisy but it didn't bother us, however, if you're looking for quiet ambiance, this is not the place. It never fails us, and we always take new people to experience the always excellent service, ambiance, and taste!! My husband and I cannot figure out how they cook the steaks to perfection, how the meat is flavored stupendiously, and cut like butter. I had the rack of lamb, and the flavor was so delicate and yummy! The side orders are great, and it is always fun to share with the crowd you are with. One of the couples we dined with chose the onion rings, which we have never tried. WOW!!!! A NEW FAV SIDE ORDER!!! The Mac and Cheese is to die for, as are the brussel sprouts, and.....well.....everything we have ever tried, which is most of the menu. The food is good, though not the best, all cooked with a lot of fat (typical American), the meat is very good indeed but extragreasy bring it with to make it smoother and "tasty" it comes to you extra fat, that obvius is not part of the steak
Very Recommended Oysters Rockefeller, we ordered a New York strip that should not be very greasy and came like a Ribeye and Ribeye fat slipped out more blood.
The place is very well and good attention but the extra grease y put on yur meat. It's more fame than the food this place.

Our table was setup in a quiet semi privet room with 2 other groups of 10 which worked perfectly. The porterhouses and petite filets were rated best steaks ever by our group. My Kansas City style NY strip with the bone in was disappointing, way to tough, even for the steak house knife. Our side of sautéed broccoli was to salty for everyones taste, maybe the Pinot brought that out. Still, 9 of the10 steaks were "best ever's" and they all arrived to the table together. Not only are the portions large but if you chose to take home your left overs you will enjoy it just as much the next day. If you select their signature pound cake be prepared to take most of it home as it is enough for a party of four. It is the best pound cake you'll ever have. Reserve the table for four and we were seated promptly even though our friends arrived late. A very classy establishment that strive for service and presentation delivered as expected. The doorman kindly asked me to remove my baseball cap per company policy.
The servers were very attentive and courteous. Always asked how we were doing and made sure our glass were always full of drinks.
We ordered 3 sides:
Creamed spinach, Gorgonzola Mac and cheese, and lobster mashed potato.
Main course:
12 oz Filet (2)
16 oz Double cut pork chop
16 oz new York (my friend ordered it wasn't sure exact name)

Expected too quiet atmosphere with exceptional but small portioned food and was pleasantly surprised to walk into an energetic, music filled, happy crowd dining. Food was delish with plentiful portions & the lobster mashed potatoes are a must. People sitting next to us were from New York & we all went upstairs to the penthouse bar for after dinner drinks & great conversation.

The food was good but a slight disappointment because we were expecting great. While the bone-in rib eye I had was amazing (I would recommend this), the roasted chicken my wife had was pedestrian. The salad was fine, the appetizers good, the sides were excellent, the main dish needs to cary a meal.
It has a good vibe to it if you get into the right room. The room off to the right is darker and quieter. The main room has some liveliness to it.
