A word from Manoli's Pizza Company
Manoli's Pizza Company was created with family in mind.
My father, Manoli Placourakis, was born in 1925 and raised on the largest of all the Greek Islands, Crete...where the weather and water are beautiful year-round, where seafood, vegetables, and fruit are plentiful and where the bread, cheese and wine are all handcrafted, the old fashioned way. Rhonda and I are raising our son, named after my father and born on Maui in 2004, on a beautiful island with similar qualities to my father's birthplace. This leads us to Manoli's Pizza Company. Our fare here at Manoli's is centered on fresh, organic, and sustainable products whenever possible in crafting all of our pizzas, salads, and even when choosing the wines on our list. Manoli's is where healthful, flavorful foods and beverages come together in a place where friends and family meet.

As 'big Manoli' used to say,
"Treat your friends like family and your family like friends".

Diner Reviews
  • "We orders the glutin free trainers pizza, we got something else, we went ahead a tried it but would have appreciated the right pizza. We were eating late so decided not to mention it"

  • "Yummy family friendly Italian restaurant. Pizza is wonderful, the "Personal Trainer" is our favorite but they are all really good. Others with us has spaghetti with meatballs and chicken parm, big portions and very tasty. Bring your sunglasses for spectacular and bright sunsets."

  • "Our reservation was for 8 pm which is on the late side since most places in maui close at 9 or 10 pm. They sat us in the bar since the dining room closes early. They were kind enough to move us to the dining room when I asked for a quieter table. The servers were very rushed but polite. I was surprised they did not bring any bread to the table. We had the Hawaiian pizza it was delicious. The thin crust had the perfect amount of crispness. We had the baked cookie w chocolate sauce & ice cream for dessert. The cookie was perfectly soft all the way through, including the edges. It got a little rich towards the end, and I have a major sweet tooth! Could tell servers were rushing but didn't say anything to rush us. Would go back"

  • "Was promptly seated. Had a spinach salad with the Lasagne. Food was good but the lasagne came out too soon after being served the salad. The lasagne was a very hefty portion. Nice view from the restaurant."

  • "The pizza was amazing-- however we waited a long time, watching others who seated 10, 20 and even 30 minutes after us receive their pizzas before us. It was explained that one of our pizzas had "disintegrated in the center" so they had remade both of them, so one wouldn't be cold. The way it was explained was sometimes the pizzas were rolled out unevenly and the center was too thin and broke through. I wouldn't let that stop you from eating here though. Like I said, other large groups were seated after and fed before us, so this it was obvious that this wasn't a huge reoccurring event. And they gave us half off one of our pizzas for the wait. The view was beautiful and the food was yummy. Overall, a good experience."

  • "Waiter Ty was fantastic, friendly and professional. Views were fabulous. We did not think the pizza was anything fantastic. Chicken Picatta was good."

  • "Loved Manoli's! We wanted pizza/pasta and with staying in Wailea noticed Manoli's on Open Table. We absolutely loved it! Our kids 9 and 11 started with garlic bread and we shared a Caesar salad amongst the 4 of us. We loved the Hawaiian and Pepperoni pizzas. The outdoor ambiance was amazing. We definitely recommend!!"

  • "This was our first visit to Manoli's and we had the meatball slider appetizer followed by their signature pizza. Absolutely great and we would recommend this without concerns whatsoever."

  • "The web site does not differentiate between tables and bar when it comes to happy hour. You can have a table beside the bar - everything is in the same room - and only the person(s) sitting on a bar stool are permitted to order from the happy hour menu according to our wait staff. misrepresentation? I think so!"

  • "Nice thin crust which was flavorful. Good quality mozzarella used and good quality pepperoni used. Overall excellent pepperoni pizza. Also had the ham and pineapple and loved that as well. Loved the saltiness of the ham with the sweetness of the pineapple."

  • "Caesar salad was very bland. Tasted like lettuce with a creamy no flavor dressing on it. Our spaghetti was excellent, the sauce was great tasting. However, the meatballs were also very bland and mushy. Atmosphere and scenery were great. Wine list was a plus. Scenery was beautiful. We should have stuck to pizza as it looked better. Hard to mess up a pizza."

  • "Food is ok. Good portions. Where they lack is great service. They need to eat at joes to understand what we mean . Other then that if you looking for casual dining I would recommend"

  • "Greek salad was very bland as was the Caesar salad. My 13 year old loved his pizza though. Won't go back."

  • "They have some very interesting and tasty margarita drinks on the menu. The pizza was fabulous! I had the Mediterranean pizza, which is fairly common, but they put an island twist on it that made it their own and it was delicious."

  • "Figured it was just another pizza place, but what a surprise. A great menu with many offerings. We did have a small pizza, but also some of the best lasagna ever tasted. And the portions are huge, well presented and nicely served. We'll be back soon."

  • "The food was excellent, but the waiter seemed to have a problem understanding our order, first for salads and then for a glass of water. The wine tasted watered down."

  • "Food was great. The servers are not that attentive For example water glass was never filled. The food is reeasonably priced so I guess you get what you pay for. Other then we really enjoyed our meal and will be back"

  • "For a restaurant specializing in pizza, we weren't impressed. It lacked flavor in a major way, whether it was the crust or sauce I'm not sure. We both added salt, which I've never done before. We made a reservation but were asked to sit in the bar. It wasn't terrible by any means, but don't expect mind-blowing pizza here."

  • "I really would like to rate Manoli's higher. It's location and views are great and the servers are very friendly and professional. However, the pizza is inedible. Without a doubt it's the worst I've ever had (and this is based on going on two separate occasions, one year apart). It has all the taste of a burnt cracker. If I ever go again (which is doubtful) I'll try something else to eat, because I won't get suckered into ordering the pizza a third time."

  • "Manoli's has a family story behind the name and the food. Read about it on the menu, reasonably priced, many locals frequent here. LOVE the 'Athlete's Pizza!' Aaron supports local growers and ingredients are organic!"

  • "We visited Manoli's for an early New Year's Eve dinner. Even though the place was "jumping," the service was good and friendly, and the wine and pizza were good. It is a fun place to eat, but definitely not what you would consider romantic, and definitely not quiet! However, it was the perfect place for the occasion, and I would recommend it."

  • "Our family dined at manolis on our first night in Maui and were very disappointed. The food was ok, but the service was awful - making for an unmemorable experience. They did not put in all of our orders, resulting in a significant delay. Our waiter was rarely seen at our table - but could be spotted repeatedly at the restaurant's electronic ordering keypad. No one apologized until we got up to leave (before ever receiving the dessert that we ordered and paid for) - too little too late. There are so many good eats in Maui that we would recommend avoiding this one."

  • "Unlike other reviewers, we found the service here to be prompt, friendly and attentive. Nice atmosphere-- we ate outside. good wines. The pizza is rather bland-- seemed slightly under baked. Very good Greek salad. Our experience was positive, but I wouldn't return. Menu also needs more seafood."

  • "Great view of the golf course! The meatball sandwich was delicious with a nice toasty bu. Sandwich came with salad greens with a lovely dressing. Service was outstanding! Will be back again to try something new."

  • "Service was very slow and nonexistent. My table was the 1st party in the restaurant and had reservations at 5:45pm and by 7:30pm still had not received our pizzas and all of our glasses were empty with no refill offered. When we finally asked to speak with a manager Tamara approached our table and was demeaning, rude and treated our table as if we had made the mistake. All in all, 2 hours later we left the restaurant with no food and still hungry. If you want to see the full story see my review on Trip Advisor. I ended up going to Shaka Pizza right after. Forget Manoli’s… Go to Shaka Pizza instead and they deliver to Wailea!"

  • "Pizza is good - seemed slightly under-cooked, crust is just okay. The ham on the Hawaiian Honey pizza was of average quality. Pizza could have come out hotter too. Love the location overlooking the golf course."

  • "Didn't expect much, but was pleasantly surprised that it was more upscale than we expected for a pizza restaurant. Pizza was excellent. Only complaint was that some of the crust appeared a little burnt. Other food was also good. Waiter was decent but a little slow in checking on us. Atmosphere was quieter and decor was prettier than we expected."

  • "Food was good, lychee sangria was delish. Loved having Motown playing!! It was confusing to have three different waiters checking on us throughout the night. They often contradicted one another. But we ended up getting a free dessert for the two birthdays we were celebrating, so that was great."

  • "My family and I spent a month in Wailea for summer vacation. Very close to our resort, we found Manoli's and went back more than 4 times in one month. The pizza is delicious, the pasta is great, and they have spaghetti with marinara sauce just the way my picky 5 year old likes it! Terrific place. Great view of the ocean and sunset. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a casual, lively, family friendly place to eat."

  • "The food was excellent. We enjoyed the pasta and the pizza was very good. The service was good but not exceptional. The whole atmosphere is very nice and I highly recommend the restaurant. We will be returning upon our nex t visit to Maui."

  • "Never written a review like this before, but ordered a simple half pepperoni/half cheese pizza... it was terrible. The cheese was like a layer of rubber on the bread. The sauce was below average. And we waited nearly an hour for it. Never again."

  • "We went to Manoli's to take advantage of Restaurant Week and the service was poor. I noticed our waiter was more interested in the tables surrounding us as well as informing one particular table of his other job at Sarrento's. The food was mediocre, my chicken piccata took the longest to arrive (over 10 minutes after the others had received their food). The pizza sauce didn't have enough flavor, the tiger shrimp that was noted on the scampi was not tiger shrimp but small, regular shrimp. The lasagna had an excessive amount of onions & zucchini that it distracted from the meats. The noise level noted was not energetic, it was ridiculous when a family rushed over to take pics of the sunset and the kids were running wild in the restaurant."

  • "Renovated space is much nicer than the old Matteo's. However, wine list was disappointing. We are are used to paying up in restaurants for premium wines but $50 for a bottle of "weeknight" Sonoma Cutrer misses the mark. The Frescobaldi was served too warm and when we asked to put it on ice for a bit, the waitress brought out a glass of ice as if we were going to put ice in our wine as opposed to putting the bottle in an ice bucket! The kids' menu is priced oddly ("all you can eat" for kids so small that they rarely eat all of anything). Lastly, the Greek salad whihc was a treat at Matteo's was a bowl of tomatoes, cheese and olives with no greens."

  • "OK pizza, not great. House salad was good. Very noisy although they did turn the music down when I asked. Nice open air dining looking over golf course. Very casual, good for families and friends meeting for drinks after a day at the beach."

  • "My wife and I were staying at the Marriott Wailea and were looking for simpler fare within walking distance from the hotel. The shopping mall has options that are crowded and overpriced. Manoli's is just a few yards up the hill and a welcome change. Decent view over the golf course, great service and not too pricey. We also liked the food so much we ate there twice. In honor of Ebert - two thumbs up!"

  • "Quite busy on a Wednesday night, service a little slow due to large volume of oven-fired pizzas and small brick oven, overall quality of food was very good however and open air patio and views are incredible!"
