  • "I've been all over the world to many different great restaurants and this was the best steak I've even had. The only place that can compare was Morton's in Denver and it's really not even close. The service was excellent and the food was even better!!!"

  • "Everything was wonderful as usual. We don't come often, but several times a year. We always know that we can count on spectacular food and service."

  • "If you want a good Omaha steak place, this is it. I was given a gift certificate which only covered half of the bill, but that got my wife and I in the door of a place we would not ordinarily go. The steaks were excellent, I had the ribeye and there was not a single bit that was too fatty too eat. I really suggest the prosciuotto wrapped asparagus as an appetizer. It was very pricy, but the service was really fantastic as you would expect from a high end restaurant."

  • "Haute Quisine prices, for what's really just a steak dinner. Low lights and crumb rakes really are just masking that it's an un-imaginative steakhouse that's sewn it's emperors clothing out of super high prices. I had a shabby torn menu, I was seated next to a noisy service station, and I could see across the restaurant a flat screen with a basketball game on. My waiter was prompt and curteous, but showed no interest in the menu. I ate here four years ago, and I think it was all the same items. I understand his disinterest. The food was yummy! The steak hot and it was cooked perfectly! But for what I paid for two dinners, I felt like I could have eaten at the Outback and walked away with the same food experience. At a quarter the price."

  • "My husband and I celebrated our 20 year anniversary and had such a great time that we decided we would make it an "annual"! The food is always amazing, the staff is exceptional and when the waiter came to our table with a rose for my anniversary, I became a life long advocate for this restaurant. Thank you and congratulations on exceeding our expectations."

  • "I took my wife out for her birthday. They gave me exactly what I asked for in regards to seating. My wife and I loved the service. The food was good at the time and the leftover's were even better the next day. I recommend Mahogany highly to anyone."

  • "We live in Lincoln but we wanted a special place to celebrate my birthday it had been 7 years since we had visited Mahogany Prime but it continues to have a wonderful ambience ,a great wine list and such attention to detail by the entire staff and yes wonderful food!"

  • "We enjoy the flowers that they give us for special occasions. The steaks just melt in your mouth and the bread is to die for. Awesome experience."

  • "We had a family dinner to celebrate two birthday celebrations. We have eaten at Mahogany over 20 times and consider it one of our top two restaurants in the city. Every other time is as been 4+ Stars or above. This night was not. The Food was good to very good but not Excellent as has been in the past. One steak was under cooked and one was over cooked but we did not get a chance to have it resolved as our service was not great this evening. All of the staff were very pleasant and nice but we were forgotten once the food arrived. We did not see our server until the end of the meal. This had never occurred before and we considered it an anomaly. We felt that maybe the restaurant was short staffed on this weekday night."

  • "Excellent food, excellent service and very accommodating for my business dinners! See you soon Mahogany!"

  • "Our waiter was fantastic. Best high-class dining service we've experienced. Professional, but relatable & not over-the-top. The steak was dreamy. Top-notch. Lobster app was also a great choice. Mashed potatoes were good. Mac & cheese was so-so. But the steak was so good we're still giving the food 5-stars."

  • "Dining with clients so sending an order back was not preferred, however, ordered the expensive bone-in filet cooked medium (I think it was $59) - supposed to have better flavor and approximately 11 oz of meat. HUGELY disappointed. The steak was tough, stringy, and flavorless. Another in our party ordered the smallest available 8 oz filet and she seemed to have twice the meat for almost 1/2 the price. We tend to take clients to Flemings or Mahogany when they are in town but last couple times, Mahogany has disappointed mainly with the quality of the meat served. Sides and appetizers were OK."

  • "Our second time to Mahogany & the visit did not disappoint! This is the best steak & the best service I have ever had!"

  • "The Mahogany has been our gold standard for the last 10 years. We moved back to Omaha and were VERY excited to return and take our daughters to experience the same. Unfortunately, this last visit didn't meet our expectations...one of our steaks ordered medium rare was on the well side of medium and the Mac & cheese was bland to the point the kids gave it a thumbs down. The rest of our order was cooked to perfection and the bisque was incredible! We definitely will return again, but maybe not as frequent as we had planned...as my husband said, "when you've established a reputation for excellence in service, food, & atmosphere, and charge a premium, you've got to be 'ON' every time."

  • "First I have to say this is not usual. This is my husbands favorite restaurant. We come here quite often and usually it is amazing service but the service was just off this night. The food was just as good as it always is but we had to ask 3 times for a drink for our guest, drinks ran low, took a long time to get our order, and the waiter did not check back in with us. I am thinking he was either new or just not a fit. He was very nice. We had 6 people in our party and we ended up being there 2 1/2 hours because of the delays. Usually I don't spend quite this much time dining even at a nice restaurant. Again, usually it is very good service and the waiter was nice. It was disappointing."

  • "This was an amazing place to eat! Quality meat, sides were big enough to share and they gave a rose as a gift for celebrating withv them! I will make this a tradition to go there every year for special occasions!"

  • "Our valentines meal at mahogany was outstanding. We were pleasantly surprised to be seated in a private wine room just for the 2 of us. The service was wonderful & the entire meal delicious. Mahogany is the place to go in Omaha for a special occasion when you want to be treated like royalty ."

  • "Best steakhouse in Omaha and the region. Food is consistently outstanding and the service is top notch. I have dined there several times and never been disappointed."

  • "The environment was pleasing but I was disappointed in the food quality. I also found the off-menu selections hard to remember and a bit confusing. I don't think I will make plans to return. My husband and I ordered steak cooked to the same doneness but they weren't even close. While the wait staff were very attentive, they were also a bit demeaning when I asked questions about menu items. Overall it was an average experience for me and definitely not worth the money spent."

  • "My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our second dining experience at Mahogany. General Manager, Dave Osborn is a gem in the industry. Table service was impeccable on a busy night (the Sat. night following Valentine's Day). The prosciutto-wrapped asparagus is a unique appetizer dish that melts in your mouth. The house salads were cold and fresh. My rib eye and my wife's filet were cooked to perfection. Highly recommend this excellent restaurant for small groups, anniversaries, or any other special occasion."

  • "Great setting but the rib eye was not worth the price. I have had better at Texas Roadhouse."

  • "We have been to Mahogany several times now, including our wedding and anniversary. Overall, the food was great as usual, but I think the service and ambiance suffered a little from the holiday. I felt like the service was rushed, our food came out right as I was finishing my soup and in a place like this I expect to have some down time to sit and enjoy the conversation. We were also sat right next to the bar, even though I requested a more private spot and so the noise level was too loud and my husbands coat kept getting knocked off his chair. I think I will avoid coming back on a holiday, and enjoy this restaurant when it is less crowded."

  • "For starters, I loves the online scheduling and reminders. We arrived on time and were seated immediately. When we were led through the restaurant, any and all staff that we passed would stop and stand aside as if we were royalty. I was given a long-stem red rose. Our white napkins were swapped out for black ones so that we didnt get white lint on our dark clothing. We had two waiters taking care of us. The wine was EXCELLENT. The food was EXCELLENT. When we left, the staff all once again stepped aside as we walked through the restaurant."

  • "I went in with 3 other guys after a long day of work. We wanted a great steak, but didn't want it to take 2+ hours for dinner, so we let the waitress (Julie I think, who was incredible) know and she moved things along a quicker pace, but not rushed. 3 of us got steaks, 2 of which were the cowboy ribeye, which were absolutely delicious. Can't wait to go back again!"

  • "So its was my birthday. We tried steak, salmon, a blush wine I dont remember the name, lobster bisque, Caesar salad, mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. Oh my the steak was one of the best cooked to perfection. The bisque you can't stop eating. Their bread with the bisque was superb. Salmon was delicious. The waitress was the best I ever had. Everything was fantastic and I can't wait to do it again. Pricey but so worth it. The only thing that was slightly not good was not enough cheese in the lobster mac n cheese but still good."

  • "I go to Mahogany on occasion for business, but had a rare opportunity to go with my wife for Valentines Day. We had a great evening of wonderful ambience, outstanding service, and the best steaks ever! I have been to many good steak houses around the country during my business travels, but still consider this local Omaha gem one of the best steak houses in the country. You won`t be disappointed."

  • "This was our first Mahogany experience and likely our last. While most of the food we ordered was delicious, we were disappointed with the lobster cargot, the wedge salad, and the lobster Mac and cheese. Unfortunately, our server didn't recognize we barely touched these dishes. When I choose to spend dollars on fine dining I expect surperior service. If I didn't know better I would think our server came from Olive Garden. Kind, hospitable but nothing special. If you give them a chance, have the creme brûlée. It was heavenly."

  • "A few issues with our experience at Mahogany - service was a little off compared to usual (e.g. no black napkins); back room where we were seated was extremely cold; second straight time my husband has tried to order a scotch off the menu and it has not been available. Still a very good meal, but they need to address of some of the details."

  • "We went to Mahogany Prime for the first time, for an early Valentines celebration. The food was delicious, the staff very knowledgeable about ingredients and preparation of the food. Service was excellent--very attentive. Had a very nice bottle of wine and the waitress wrote "Happy Valentines Day"and the date on the empty bottle, for a very nice keepsake."

  • "Decided to celebrate our anniversary at Mahogany's. The lobster cargo is a must for an appetizer....you could make a meal on that alone and the warm bread they bring is perfect for dipping the melted butter that is left under the lobster pieces. The chopped salad is very good...serviced on a chilled plate which makes all the difference in the world. We each had different entrees...the salmon was amazing with the crab, shrimp, capers and tomatoes and the filet was cooked perfectly. We ordered the au gratin potatoes as a side and they were delicious. There was nothing that we had that we would not order again. While the total bill was a bit pricey it was worth every penny!"

  • "This was our first dining experience at Mahogany and we will definitely return again. My husband now has a favorite restaurant. It was just the two of us celebrating our anniversary and we were fortunate enough to be able to dine in the private wine room. The private room was perfect for our celebration. The food was fantastic! My husband had a New York Strip steak prepared to perfection. I had the Red Snapper which was absolutely delicious. We shared the sautéed spinach and asparagus with hollandaise sauce. Scrumptious! For dessert, we had the crème brulee cheese cake. Very yummy! Our service was outstanding! Everyone from the hostess to our wait staff was very attentive. We would give this restaurant a 5 Star!!"

  • "This was by far one of the nicest dining experiences we've ever had. We had 4-5 servers attending to our needs. Our head server, James, was very attentive and wonderful at helping us choose a wine to pair with our meal and answered our many questions. I ordered their house salad and it was exceptional. Steaks were phenomenal, too. It was a pricey meal, but well worth it. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting to celebrate a special occasion or have a fabulous night out."

  • "Arrived for my 6:30 reservation. Offered a table. In the bar, turned it down. Then was told only other available was near the high traffic are where the help all hustled out and around. The booth is poorly located unless you are a supervisor. Was told the table on the quiet side were reserved. Well, I had RESERVATIONS, but the empty tables were not available!! Will never go back."

  • "This was a great experience and the filet melted in our mouth. We haven't had a steak this good since the Dreisbach's Restaurant in Grand Island closed. It is a little pricey but well worth it. The web site said business casual, but we saw a lot of real casual dress. Too bad they couldn't monitor that better."
