I was literally moved to tears by the power & beauty of the dancers and the music. I mentioned this to the "Banquet Captain / Mgr" on the way out and he presented me with a Lei! Total class all the way. The MC was very entertaining, although a little cheesy at times, but it was all in good fun! Being both an Entertainer (Songwriter / Musician) and a Professional Chef myself, I would say that I got my money's worth and then some! The food, served buffet style, was very good and I made sure I took a good sized plate. I even managed to eat 80% or more ... One of the highlights of my trip, I would recommend you do it as well!4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMAlthough we were happy withAlthough we were happy with our experience we were disappointed to see the luau price on the menu in our room after paying more in advance for a "special on-line price". I talked to someone in guest services and was told our seating and special mixed drinks were included in our price vs the posted price we still didn't know if we actually got a better deal. It would be more informative if your on-line special actually showed the comparison in the two different prices. We booked on-line because we wanted to be sure we didn't miss a luau if we didn't book in advance.4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMA Great Hawaiian ExperienceThis was a great event and worth the money. The food was all good and there was plenty of it. This is usually my fear with group buffets, that all the good food will be gone, but that wasn't the case here. The dancers were great and even funny at times. My son of 14 enjoyed it as well, which is a very hard age to please. We had the tiki cups which allowed free refills, even on alcoholic beverages, which was a huge plus.
