  • "We had a casual business lunch at LoHi. The restaurant was clean, the menu had a good variety of choices, and the general feel was upbeat and welcoming. Two of us had the daily in house ground burgers with fries that appeared to house made as well. Burgers were just a touch over cooked but very tasty. The seasoning on the fries was very good. Service was friendly and our waiter was around at the right times without hovering. We had heard of LoHi before but this was our first visit and we will surely be back."

  • "There was a live band playing when we went which added to the lively atmosphere. I don't see myself coming back here for the food. The burgers looked delicious but with my group we all ordered steaks, and with the title steakbar in the name we were very disappointed. Every person's steak was undercooked. One person ordered a medium rare steak that was literally only seared. The inside was completely raw and disgusting. My steak was supposed to be medium and came out medium rare, closer to rare. For being a "steakbar" I would think they use thermometers to know the perfect temperature. Not good!"

  • "The food is wonderful, fresh and nicely presented. Two suggestions: the music is too loud for a dinner conversation. Turning up the music as more people come in makes it very difficult to have dinner conversation across a table or booth. Wait to crank up the music until after the dinner hour and the restaurant becomes predominately a bar. Also, I asked if the steak was from grass fed, hormone free beef but the server didn't know ~ that is important information to be able to tell a customer. And I am a regular - my family and I enjoy the great food, the openness/ambiance and the location. Kudos!!"

  • "This was not our first visit to LoHi but was definitely our last. We waited 45 minutes for our meal and the restaurant was not busy. The quality of the food was also a big disappointment, the burger was good, the eggs benedict and pastrami hash were not good at all. We had to request salt and pepper, sugar for tea and general condiments. Rarely would we pan a restaurant but this is one time we felt the need to."

  • "I had waited a long time to come here with friends. The service terrible, one excuse after another About why the order was wrong or mixed up. We couldn't get out soon enough! The best part of the meal was the leftovers and cooking them in my own house the next day. Very disappointing."

  • "The food was amazing the only issue we had was with the service. We had a 6PM reservation. Our dinner was at our table at 8:30PM so we were there till almost 10 by time we ate, which don't get me wrong I love my friends but dinner taking almost 4 hours seemed at little crazy. I'll definitly be back for the food. I've heard about LoHi Steakbar through friends and was disappointed but will be back to give it another shot! "

  • "We made a reservation at LoHi for brunch, because restaurants accepting brunch reservations are hard to come by. Our food took forever to arrive while other diners arriving after us were served. It arrived cold, and our waitress was extremely unapologetic. They said they would take care of this issue and forgot to do so. The ended up giving us drink cards for a future visit but overall... not great."

Large portions - very heavy food. Not the best not the worst. It would be a good weeknight dinner spot but wouldn't recommend for a special occasion. For restaurant week and for a pretty typical quality of food, it was very expensive."

  • "We dined at LoHi for Denver Restaurant Week. The DRW menu was a good representation of what was offered at the establishment. The blue cheese fondu was divine! However, it was only served with chips and could have been better if there were some veggies served with it as well. I had the salmon and my bf had the steak. Both had good flavors, however, they were on the salty side which made it harder to finish. To wash down the salt though, I had a GREAT jalapeno margarita. Maybe if it wasn't DRW the food would have been more carefully done and the salt levels would haven't been so high."

  • "We took some friends to Lohi for Restaurant Week and were pretty disappointed. For $30 a guest, we were unimpressed and not in any hurry to go back. First, I think the menu was poorly planned. The appetizer selections were ho-hum and the overly rich blue cheese fondue left a person feeling put off after a few bites. Then, when the steaks came, we realized that the side of frites was an identical taste to the appetizer chips. A little overkill for whoever planned the menu - variety of flavors and a showcase of food talent would have been nice. The steaks were good, but not amazing. The dessert was also not exciting. While the cheesecake was nice, the mousse was unremarkable. Sigh..."

  • "My husband, three year old and I spent our family Valentine's Day meal here early Saturday evening. Service was prompt and friendly and I was pleasantly surprised that they had a children's menu. They offered to bring my son his meal as soon as it was ready, and it was done fast. He scarfed down the cheeseburger in short order. I had the filet mignon with the herb butter. The filet was prepared perfectly and I loved the frites and creamed spinach. My husband tried the burger with chili and a fried egg. It was messy, and he complained that the chili was actually a bit sweet, but on the whole, a juicy and tasty burger. Service was pleasant, prompt and friendly. We will be back to this neighborhood spot."

  • "I went alone for steak which was mildly awkward because the waitress asked me if I was waiting for someone and when I said no, she asked if I wanted to have some food, as if I could only want to drink because I was out alone. Other than that, the food was good, but the portion size was enormous. The NY Strip steak is worth having, especially with the garlic-herb butter. Nice location, nice ambiance. Best for groups of adults, though I saw some children there."

  • "I love this place for HH or just a more relaxing bar experience which is why I figured I'd give dinner a try. I rarely treat myself to expensive meals (above $20 for an entree) so when I do, I'm hoping that it's worth the money. I ordered the NY Strip for $26 and it was OK. Nothing special. I did enjoy the blue cheese butter that was served on top of the steak but I won't be eating here again if I have a say in the matter. This might sound like blasphemy to some people but I would much rather eat at Outback and end up walking away with extra money in my pocket. For a 'Steakbar', I was pretty disappointed."

  • "We went to LoHi for a nice Christmas Eve dinner and were pleasantly surprised. Our server was great and so friendly. The steaks were cooked perfectly and were so tender. Don't add salt to your stead and fries because they are already seasoned perfectly. Highly recommend dining at LoHi!"

  • "Although a bit outside of our neighborhood (we live in the Tennyson area), we try to frequent LoHi Steakbar. The atmosphere is vibrant, food is good and the service is outstanding! Our last visit was Christmas Eve. Our server, Rebecca, could have been angry and disappointed about working on a holiday but that was far from what she openly presented. She was upbeat, helpful and fun in conversation. My recommendations? The Steakbar Steak. It comes with a choice of house made sauces and really good french fries (although I LOVE their baked potato as a swap). My husband is a big fan of the burgers. Again, the burger is served with a large serving of french fries. Lastly... don't forget dessert!! All desserts are house made :)"

Server was clueless and inattentive, but other servers covered for him, which was both thoughtful and courteous. Saving grace was the meat; flatiron and filet were both very good."
