Lidia's features authentic, regional Italian cuisine. Every item at the restaurant is house-made, entirely from scratch, with the best ingredients available. Breads and desserts are baked in house daily and each salad and entree is prepared fresh. Every day Lidia's offer a sampling of seasonal, daily-made pastas. We also feature many seafood, chicken, pork & beef options. We are happy to accommodate your dietary needs, including gluten free items. Lidia's is located in the Historic Freighthouse, a beautiful 19th century building.   • "My husband chose Lidia's for his birthday dinner, and when I made our reservation online I mentioned that we would be celebrating that occasion. No sooner did our waitress (Liz, I think) introduce herself than she wished him a happy birthday. Great attention to detail!!! I had been treated to a birthday dinner myself a few weeks ago, at a different restaurant, and the same type of alert to a birthday greeting was completely ignored. You guys win!!! Oh, and the duck breast and the blueberry dessert were to die for!!!"

  • "The food was stunning! I had the pasta trio and enjoyed it immensely; I'm not a huge red sauce fan, and was slightly hesitant to try the trio, but it was amazing. I especially enjoyed the heirloom tomato sauce - it tasted like eating Summer! I also very much enjoyed the tiramisu, which I had for dessert. Definitely the best tiramisu I've ever had! I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone and can't wait to go back."

I'm not sure if they're trained or told to act disinterested and detached, or if I just keep getting unhappy/hungover servers, but a place of this caliber (and price point) should definitely have staff who know how to make the customer feel they've had an exceptional dining experience."

  • "I've been to Lidia's a number of times for brunch and this last visit marked a sharp deterioration in both service and food quality. The antipasti offerings were bland and ordinary; most required salt and pepper to be edible. I ordered the Polipo (which I've had many times before to my delight) and this time the primary ingredient was tasteless potato; in the past, I've easily had 4 times as much octopus as appeared on this day. There was no caring preparation involved; all dishes served to my party were lacking in presentation that used to be there. While service in the past has been great, this time our server only returned once to refill drinks over the course of 2 hours. She was, however, remarkably swift to pick up the payment."

Our server was great, she made an excellent suggestion on the wine - however the food was quite slow to arrive. Even a salad - which are pre-made and stored in a refrigerator - took quite a while. The pasta trio (their specialty), took a long time for all three dishes to arrive - the kitchen just wasn't keeping up. It was a Saturday night, and the restaurant was fairly full but not over crowded or anything. Food was excellent as always, we were just surprised by the lack of speed for our meal. Will definitely go back - multiple times - we love Lidia's! Hoping for better next time."

  • "We sat in the quiet herb-garden and watched the birds drink from the fountain while we sipped some impressive and unique cocktail selections, and once all of our party arrived we headed inside to enjoy the absolutely phenomenal hand-made pasta offerings. I highly recommend the trio if you enjoy pasta, every bit was excellent but the ravioli was unanimously the favorite."

That said, the staff offered to stay as long as necessary, and we did keep them just a bit after closing. Cannelloni with spinach and cheese is a favorite of mine. If you love lamb (I do), this is the place to splurge. Send me your leftovers, you'll have plenty to eat."
