    Le Vallauris has a policy that requires a credit card for reservations of 8 persons or more. Reservations MUST be cancelled by 9:00AM for LUNCH reservations and by 12:00 noon for DINNER reservations. A charge of $25 per person will be levied for cancellations made AFTER these hours.

  • Catering: Le Vallauris has developed a famous reputation for outside caterings from 2 to 500 guests. The key to success is that Chef Jean Paul prepares all the food on site, no pre-cooked food is kept in hot boxes for a whole day! Le Vallauris has catered to parties as far as Laguna Beach at the coast. A professional service staff is used to give unobtrusive and friendly service. Weddings and Corporate events are their specialty. Comprehensive packages are available to accommodate budgets. Le Vallauris includes in its packages for up to 200 guests all the equipment needed except tables and chairs.
  • Private Party Facilities: Le Vallauris has 2 inside dining rooms for private parties each one with a capacity for up to 50 persons. The Patio can also be used on a "buy out" basis for up to 150 persons and a tree shaded Gazebo is available for up to 120 guests. These facilities are able to use an array of "prix fixe" menus.

A word from Le Vallauris
Established in the heart of Palm Springs since 1973, Le Vallauris located at the foot of San Jacinto Mountains has been the highest rated restaurant in the Palm Springs Valley since its inception. Owned and operated by the well known restaurateur Paul Bruggemans who was also owner of the Famous Le St Germain restaurant in Hollywood. The Historic Landmark was built in 1927 and was owned by the owners of the famous Desert Inn which was The hotel in the Valley. Many grand parties were held in the house for guests such as Duke Ellington, Nat King Cole, Louis Armstrong and many more. It was a favorite place for General Patton when he was based in Palm Springs to stage the Battle of the Bulge during World War II. Later on, when the restaurant was established it became a favorite place for Presidents and the Hollywood elite. The renowned Patio lined with Giant Fichus trees is THE place to dine.   • "Went to this restaurant to celebrate my wife's birthday. Restaurant service and ambiance were excellent as expected. Food quality was a little disappointing. Blue crab salad was ordinary at best. While the bisque for the lobster ravioli was flavorful, the pasta texture was hard around the edges and gummy in the middle. Hard to ruin chocolate cake but they did. Not recommended for foodies like ourselves."

  • "The garden setting was lovely with white table cloths, white napkins, and chandeliers lit in the trees. The food is classic French cuisine. I had escargot, which was served bubbling hot and delicious. My rack of lamb was fine but not served medium rare and lacked any fresh presentation. The homemade sorbets proved a fitting ending; the coconut sorbet was delightful. Although the service was attentive, my waiter became unctuous. And the wine list for such a classy and expensive restaurant was ordinary."

For a French restaurant, the red wine was too warm. The most shocking, however, was when the waiter poured the red wine into our first wine glass that previously contained the white wine! Expected better than that for this price, and what the restaurant was promoted to be."

We also love that Paul, the owner, made his way around to every table to connect with his patrons. It is a wonderful spot for a special occasion.   • "My kids and I had the pleasure of dining here. The food was quite amazing. My kids who are 12 & 13 had the wild boar pate & escargots. They loved it. Then they each had the veal tenderloin with truffle sauce. They both loved the tenderness, juiciness of the meat & the fragrant taste of the truffle oil. I had the hanger steak & it was beautifully cooked & just melted in your mouth. As for the desserts, well you just have to go there & try them for yourself. Loved the over "55" staff---all took pride in their work. The manager/owner went around to every table & greeted guests individually. Patio for dining was beautiful. They had a 2 man "band" which played/sang beautiful songs. I could have just sat at the bar & listened to them all night."

  • "The maitre d was delightful and took care to make sure our table was perfect and checked back to make sure we were enjoying! Our primary table waiter, however, was not as caring in our opinion. He seemed to want us to basically order, eat and leave, although he did what was expected I guess. All in all, it was extremely wonderful and even the valet (she) was very friendly and prompt. The food was divine. Each table seemed private- we were seated behind a palm tree from people we recognized from our home town half way across US but felt as though we were at a private table despite that! We truly enjoyed our experience at Le Vallauris!"

Attentive staff who warmly greet and promptly serve. Dinner salads and entres were very fine, tasty, well presented. More expensive than many others in Palm Springs, but feels special and I would return."

  • "We absolutely love Le Vallauris. The occasion was my Wife's Birthday. First, the "white board" selections were "John Paul" spot-on and our selections prepared perfectly. Tony came to our table and was as charming as ever. The problem was our waitress was subpar. She was friendly, but not near the level of service we've come to expect. She was unfamiliar with the menu so she'd go to the kitchen to ask how a meal was prepared. One selection she actually read what was written on the white board - "Sautéed Maine Lobster -- oh, that is a lobster that is sautéed". We were presented a dessert for my wife's birthday - a very nice gesture - yet when the bill came the $14.95 dessert was added to our bill."

  • "Our children gave us a generous gift certificate for Le Vallauris and my husband and I went to celebrate his birthday. The outdoor courtyard was beautiful. The wait staff was very attentive, almost too attentive, coming by to ask if everything was OK. We each had a glass of wine, appetizers, entrée, coffee, desert and brandy. The food and presentation was outstanding. When we received our check we put the gift certificate in the little black folder. We waited a very long time (20 minutes) and finally had to ask for our change. The bill came to 68% of the gift certificate. The folder came back with change that indicated they had taken a 30% gratuity. We would have left a nice tip on our own. I thought it was arrogant of them to take it."

The gentleman who was at the door did not seem very warm to us, we had a 7:30 reservation which we had delayed until 8pm by calling just before 7pm, we did arrived a little later than 8pm, and we were offered a table next to the musicians, just as we witnessed the couple leaving that particular table as it seemed too loud for conversation! When we pointed that out, the gentleman, his name could be did not seem happy to prepare another table for us. He did and we were eventually seated. All this to say we were not treated as "welcome guests". We did enjoy the tasting menu very much and the service at the table was excellent. Thank you, Madeleine"

  • "We read superb reviews of this restaurant and decided to do a group dinner out. The patio ambiance is superb and we liked the menu a great deal. We ran into some really odd difficulties with our main server being unable to make any recommendations and help with the menu (the owner replied to us that the server had been let go since.) Then, our sommelier was really frustrated with another table and gave us some rather odd wines that were not what we asked. Despite our request for California wines, he really pushed us toward a French wine that was very mineral heavy for us. Odd. Our food was good and the chalk menu made it interesting. Small live band in bar area was fun, but we were by far the youngest folks there. Very Palm Springs. $$$"

  • "We came back two years later , fearing that they could not possibly be as good as we remembered. WRONG! The whole affair is memorable, from beginning to end. Very refine dishes, classic presentation in an outstanding courtyard. No need to fly to the South of France. The Sunday brinch is a treat at reasonable price, $45 for full three course meal with vin mousseux «à volonté». we are going back next Sunday with kids and grandchildren."

We had beet gazpacho & grilled shrimp on salad greens with wonderful fresh French buns. The service was excellent & so was the food...we have been back since & that experience was just as good. Be prepared for the bill, as it is a little pricey, especially with wine!"

We would recommend this spot to others as it has lovely ambiance ( we were in the courtyard) and very good food."
