A word from JT Schmid's
JT Schmid’s was established in 1997 on a simple premise – to offer a splendid variety of the finest California cuisine and microbrews under one roof. We also wanted to create an atmosphere that was warm & inviting, thus our dedication to craftsmanship is reflected in our comfortable yet lively surroundings. And, because we take pride in our brewing process and delicious food, we have displayed our brewery and kitchen so that you might enjoy watching our Chef and Brew master as they carefully work their magic. It is our sincere hope that our commitment to quality will make us your favorite brewery and premier eatery in Orange County.
California Cuisine best describes our diverse menu. We offer cuisine from all corners of the world. The centerpiece of our kitchen is a wood-burning brick oven which generates gourmet pizza and other of the Chef’s creations. Other specialties include Seared Ahi, Sweet Potato Fries, Jambalaya, and Steaks & Seafood.

Diner Reviews
  • "we were seated on time. service was prompt. there was a long, long line just waiting to check-in. We were seated in a banquet room they had just opened. It was a little dank and smelly. they service was prompt. the food came out quickly. But,.. it seemed like a whole lotta fun was going on in the main restaurant & bar. the outdoor dining looked great. could not get either. we were heading to the CHER concert across the street. Which by the way, makes this place great for going to the Honda center."

  • "We were seated immediately with a reservation. The restaurant was full with people having a pre-event dinner. Our waiter was attentive although very busy. The food arrived very quickly. There were 5 of us. The cocktails were a bit weak but food was good. We would return."

  • "Great stop before a weekday ballgame at the Big A. Blacken Chicken with house IPA was ideal. Get there around 4:30 before the crowds arrive. Bar service was on top of everything. Well done all the way around."

  • "If you are going to an Angel game or The Honda Center for a concert, this is a great place to start. Food selection was great and the service staff was wonderful. Will be returning later this year."

  • "My title pretty much sums it up. The food was great but the service was bad. Not only by the individual server but everyone we came into contact with. It was as if they didn't want to be bothered. Disappointing"

  • "JT's was not busy when we dined for lunch so I'm not sure why our experience was so dismal. The restaurant was nice, lots of seating around lots of large screen TVs. A sports bar/restaurant that brews their own beers. Just what we wanted. The food wasn't wretched, but it just wasn't very good. Party ordered burgers, salad, sandwich, nachos, truffle fries. Also, my son ordered a steak which was way over cooked and the waitress insisted taking it back. He asked for it to go. When he ate it later that night, there were two very long hairs (10 inches) under the steak--gross. We also order three beer flights (samplers). The lighter beers were "ok" but the three darks were horrible. Awful experience! Never going back!"

  • "Everything looked nice inside but nothing left me saying I need to come back. As the months continue reassess your menu items. I had my daughter and wife and none of us looked at your menu and said, oh I gotta have that. I'm just one guy with my own opinion. Thanks for asking."

  • "Had dinner with family before an Angel's game and to celebrate my husband's b-day. To start off the service was bad. Our waitress did not know the menu well, she had no personality and looked looked and acted like she was having a bad day. Did not welcome questions or had any menu suggestions when asked. My husband ordered the steak with blue cheese topping and onion rings. The steak was cold and they forgot the toppings all together. I ordered the ahi tuna sandwich and it was flavorless."

  • "Everything was nice. My wife and I were celebrating our 2 year anniversary attending Lionel Richie concert. The only draw back is that you have to purchase items separately like salads and bread, but other than that the food was good. "

  • "After three visits in about a month, we have decided this would be our last. The small and limited menu has caused us to look elsewhere. We will miss the kind and friendly staff, however, not the menu."

  • "After two visits, the limited menu, is causing us to think about finding another location for our games. The management and staff are excellent, however, you get tired of the small and limited menu quick. Just because they are located next to a sporting venue, shouldn't cause them to limit their menu which will begin to limit if not stop our visits."

  • "Have season tickets to the LA Kiss. This location has a much more limited menu than the Tustin location."

  • "This was our first time here and I was looking forward to it. Not much to say other than the food was OK, service wasn't that great and the beer wasn't anything special. Definitely not what I was expecting, too bad I really wanted to like it."

  • "Service was not very good and the server wasn't very friendly. She didn't smile once. I had the margarita flatbread and there isn't much you could do to mess that up. The menu was very limited and there was only a few items that caught our eye. My family had the salmon and the fish & chips and according to them both were dry. The steak fries that accomodated the fish were fine and the rice and vegetables that came with the salmon were good. My family has no desire to eat there again. The valet team was very nice and helpful."

  • "I have both positive and negative reviews--positive was that it was across from The Pond and that was the reason I chose this eatery, secondly was the parking was free when we ate there. Negatively the food was very mediocre , waiter not too attentive, we had to go and get the vinegar ourselves , had to look for him to get a refill of my Pepsi, yes it gets busy but being there at 5 pm this was not the case for us. On the whole had I not been going to the Pond I would not choose this restuarant, and would not recommend it to anyone. Thank you"

  • "The restaurant was not very busy, but the service was terrible. We were there for almost 3 hours because of the slow service. The food was ok, but not excellent and not worth the wait."

  • "Our server was great, but that was the only positive part of our experience. This was our first time here. We had the Mahi Mahi Fish Tacos, which were dry and absolutely disgusting. The beer was warm. It was about 95 degrees in there. We would have stayed and had another drink but it was so stifling hot in there we had to get out. We will never ever go back. "

  • "The food and service at JT Schmid's is very good and it's a great restaurant to have lunch or dinner prior to going to any event at Honda Center since its right across the street from it."

  • "Our group had a better then expected experience at JT Schmid's. We were running late on our reservations, and to our pleasant surprise the Hostess honored our reservations by putting us on the priority waiting list and as soon as we arrived we were given a table at a great location. We were also worried about getting to our event at the Honda Center on time, but again we were very pleased that our waiter rapidly worked on our order and our food came quickly. We were able to enjoy our food and make it to our event on time! The food was fresh and delicious!"

  • "Mani fish tacos are always a favorite. We sat at the bar to get a better view of the basketball games on the TVs. Bartender was friendly and attentive. Manager stopped by to check on our satisfaction. Have always had a good experience at this restaurant."

  • "Great location across from Honda Center in Anaheim but very noisy, crowded and very SLOW service ( not fault of waiter but the kitchen was slow). We had 1 order of nachos and 1 pizza and 2 ice cream desserts and it took over 3 hrs to be served and fed. ( right before sporting event but shouldn't have been that slow for what we ordered) Typical food for brewery type restaurant."

  • "Loud party in room next to our table. Waitress wouldn't move us even though there were empty table--held for larger parties than ours. Food is not of highest quality. Good belly filler and that's it."

  • "We LOVE going here just before the game! LOTS of people so go early! Everyone so friendly--close to Honda Center--great food--great ambience--very loud and energetic!"

  • "Unfortunately we were placed at a tiny table by the kitchen enterance. When I asked for a booth I was told those were for reservations only...I was on a reservation. I was made to feel like I had done something unreasonable by asking for the booth. The food was good and the server did his job well. Unfortunately, the bar tender needs a refresher course. I ordered a Moscow mule. I was asked if that was made with a "bourbon mix." Really. Who doesn't know that a Moscow mule has ginger beer, vodka and a lime. This Moscow mule was a muddy color. I sent it back"

  • "We arrived early for our 5:30 p.m. reservations. The restaurant was not crowded at that time, so we were very disappointed that the hostess took us to the most remote area of the restaurant. There were at least 6 booths available in the main dining room. When we asked to be seated in booth we were told they were reserved. She did manage to move us to the main dining area, where we saw those booths sit empty for at least an hour. We did appreciate her moving us to the main dining room, but wondered why weren't we weren't seated there to begin with? Would only recommend this restaurant because of it's proximity to the Honda Center."

  • "Good spot to meet friends before a Ducks game. Have 20 bucks handy for the valet parking. Decent bar food and great location across from the Honda Center"

  • "Went here before a concert at Honda center. Menu much much smaller than I expected or remembered. Very dissapointing. Prices from low end for a small medium pizza was $14, as our server correctly described, to a high of $30 for steak at this place... Just isn't a $30 steak house... Got the raspberry mojito, which lacked any flavor despite being filled to the Brit with muddled raspberries. App was the order of tots.Which you really can't screw up. I got a modified cowboy burger... Best burger value at $13 since they otherwise start at $12 and to add cheese or bacon or practically anything else was priced a buck a piece. So I got my cowboy burger with goat cheese instead of blue cheese. It came with two giant onion rings and bacon."

  • "This is a great place if you are attending an event at the Honda Center in Anaheim. Good atmosphere, good service, food was better than most breweries I have been too. Bar area is the best for a quick bite and some drinks."
