The waiter was very attentive from start to finish. The entire meal was very good. The waiter , observing that I might not like the wine he had just poured , asked if it was ok. The wait staff was outstanding. Very accommodating and attentive but not intrusive.
The atmosphere was perfect for a date. Not too noisy. Could have a conversation at a normal speaking voice. The restaurant is quite elegant which adds to the ambiance. Would be nicer ambiance perhaps if the restaurant dimmed the lights a tad.

Patio is lovely and has a nice romantic feel; however, you cannot sit too long in those chairs.
The food, wine, service is always great. This is our Valentine's spot. Unfortunately, the service was really slow. Our waitress was very nice and funny I think was a bit overwhelmed on the patio and was counting on the help of the bus boys who really didn't help her. The food was their Puglia special. It was a nice way to make an engaged meal for a single diner. The ambiance is beautiful, the food is top notch, and the service is impeccable. They have a respectable offering of wines, and are always changing up their special offerings in addition to a sterling regular menu. If there's someone you want to impress, take them to Il Fornaio. This last visit we took our vacationing relatives in for dinner, and everything went off without a hitch. For the same amount it would have cost to have the same meal at Olive Garden, we ate a much higher quality, more satisfying meal, and left feeling as if we'd been treated like royalty.
