  • "I love the old world Italian look of this place, reminded me of places I have visited in Florence. I loved the fresh made pasta in my ravioli dish, plus the fact that there was a smaller size that you could order. My husband loved his veal with artichokes. Service was very good and it was really hard to decide between all the desserts so we went for the trio - glad we did, each small version of those three desserts was just right for my husband and I to share. There are even singers that come to your table and sing happy birthday to you in Italian - a nice touch."

  • "It was a nice treat to go to Il Fornaio midweek. The restaurant is beautiful with amazing natural lighting in an open, airy room. White tablecloth, a bit pricey for lunch, and very upscale, so probably too much for everyday, but a nice break from the ordinary take out or brown bag. The free-range chicken with salad was healthy, yummy, and definitely an ample portion."

I am very happy to report that the food was again first class and the service was wonderful! We had the tasting menu for Basilicata and all three dishes were outstanding! The wine parings were spot on too. Dessert...chocolate mouse...and it was outstanding! Well done!"

I ordered the sea bass special. The fish itself was lacking flavor, the tomatoe topping was ok. Wine selections were great. I will come here again."

  • "We go out a lot, but rarely go "downtown" for dinner, thought we would try Il Fornaio for a change. So glad we did! We both ordered the Minestrone di Verdure. This is what Minestrone soup is suppose to taste like! For our entrees we both ordered the "Grigliata di Pesce Misto". This was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! The fish was not only FRESH, but expertly prepared! I highly recommend it for seafood lovers. It was followed by a very yummy dessert, the Zabaione alla Gritti. If you like fresh berries in a not too sweet, light creamy sauce, you will LOVE this! Ok, and if that wasn't enough, we got FREE PARKING and a full FREE charge for our electric hybrid Volt car! Plus, the menu listed the calories for each item. We can't wait to go back!"

We got a very poor small table that was stuck in the middle of a ton of traffic. The food was not what I would expect from the price tag. Subpar at best."

  • "Have been to this place many times, love the decor but the food is trending down. Caesar salad had no dressing other the anchovies I requested. Bread is good. Wine choices were good but very pricey. My wife's sole (recommended by server) was horrid. My sliced rare beef was in a languid puddle of supposed balsamic reduction (the cook doesn't understand 'reduction' but does understand how to sweeten balsamic and soak meat in it to the point the meat is inedible). Desserts were not good and I have had the same ones on prior occasions. This place has a great location and promise but something is terribly amiss. I feel bad for them but won't be returning anytime soon."

The monthly 'Taste of Italy' three course dinner is a delicious alternative to ordering separately. And on the cocktail menu, try the Capri - a berry infused vodka drink with Acai liquor - the most flavorful mixed drink I've ever had (and I've tasted a few!). Il Fornaio is simply dining done right."

  • "My husband and I dinned here for Valentine’s Day. The food was absolutely wonderful. I had the penne a la vodka(spelling?) and he had spinach ravioli. The ambiance was great. My only complaints were the portion sizes as we found they were too small as well our seats. We sat at a small round table that seemed to wobble whenever we applied pressure to the table and the seats were bucket like patio chairs which sat really low to the ground. With my husband’s long legs and my high heels it made it uncomfortable on our knees . Otherwise for the over Romantic vibe and good food I would suggest it."

  • "I've dined here before and it was excellent. But tonight, with the exception of one in our party of 5, the food was totally off. The service was spotty, and one of the larger employees made me feel like I was always in his way. Don't order the sole (cooked to shoe leather along with rock hard mushrooms), the half chicken (old and dry), or the salad de la casa (with rusted lettuce and mushy tomatoes). But in their defense, the manager comped our meals, and the bread, pastries and desserts were fabulous. Especially the flourless chocolate cake and the bread pudding! I will return for a lunch again since they have successfully prepared several that I've truly enjoyed! It was simply an off night for them...."

Our waiter Jose was excellent, He treated us as if we were the only couple in the restaurant, his recomendations were spot on. We will be back."

  • "Its a beautiful venue with a well trained staff, unfortunately the food was very dry, there were too many tables for the floor space, and the dishes were bent and dirty. I even witnessed the chef munching on something as he lazily leaned against the counter. My wife was disappointed, and for what I payed for the meal I at least expected the restaurant to live up to its reputation."
