  • "I enjoyed our first time at FDC. Everything was very good although no particular cut/selection rose to the outstanding level. Service was almost over the top (too much). IMHO value (for what they charge...) is not quite there. Good for a one time experience and maybe a second to introduce someone else, but it's not the sort of place I'd seek out to repeat."

  • "Everything at Fogo de Chao was absolutely lovely! We enjoy their salad bar immensely, especially my personal favorite the delicious smoked salmon. We also love their prosciutto, hearts of palm, baby swiss cheese wedges, asparagus spears and that wonderful basil dressing. Our favorite cuts of meat are the house special (Picanha) the Filet Mignon and their lamb chops are my absolute favorite meat choice of all. The service is equal to other fine steakhouses downtown, if not better! The manager knew exactly where we were sitting, and he came by several times to inquire about our meal and if there were any other cuts we would like to try. Most notable coffee. We ordered Creme Brulee for dessert and coffee, and it was utterly divine."

The food choices can be over whelming only because everything looks great and you want to try it all! The waiting staff are all very helpful and very accommodating. The valet service is also great.   • "My favorite cut of meat at Fogo is the lamb chop. In the past I have described it as meat cotton candy. It would simply melt in your mouth. Sorry to say that this was not so on our last visit. The lamb chops and steaks were what I could make at home (nothing spectacular). Also the servers seem to have lost their enthusiasm."

  • "I have been to several branches of this restaurant all over the US. I love their variety of meat, and the way serve it. Basically you can eat all you can, and it is heaven for meat lovers. Also they usually have a great salad bar, with several different items you can have. Unfortunately in our last visit, the salad bar was not that great. Seems like they have shorted their salad bar list (and we started at 12:00 pm, there is no question about running out of something). The other missing item was barbecued pineapple, which they used to serve after the main meal. Still I like it a lot, but I would hesitate to go there so often if they keep shorting the items."

  • "It was a fun spot to go to celebrate our friends wedding anniversary. The salad bar was great, the Apple Salad was my favorite. The bacon wrapped chicken was the highlight of the meats followed closely by the house sirloin. The filet was scarce and over cooked and the pork ribs were dry, that was the only bummer about the dinner."

Beware their is no pricing of the dinner so when you arrive be prepared spend some money. Very good place to treat yourself for a nice dinner night out to impress someone."

  • "This particular day the service at Fogo was not just lackluster, it was downright disappointing. Typically we have a group of 8 or more, but this particular outing our group dropped to just four people and the level of service we received was pretty horrid. We tried to make the best of the lunch, but it was tough when attempting to wave down someone to bring us food (we had our markers on Green nearly the entire meal). The service staff, those taking drink orders and those there to ensure we get what we're after, just weren't too worried about our table. I can accept the fact that ours was one of the smaller tables in the area, but we're still spending our time and money to enjoy a (typically) wonderful Fogo lunch."

I love the salad bar since it offers a wide variety and of course love trying all of the different meats that they hand carve at your table.   • "I cannot say enough about how good the meat at Fogo is, so I would suggest that you go and experience the never ending supply of high end quality meats brought to your table. Tips to remember, if you like one cut over the others ask the staff to have it brought to you this is not rude, it actually helps everyone. Restaurant week the choice meats rib eye, Flays and Lamb chops have been removed, this is a huge let down since these are the cuts I go for, being that there are still a lot of good meats to choose from and you will not be disappointed with your visit."

  • "We decided to hit Fogo again on Restaurant week, which is always an amazing thing that the cities do. We took our parents there for their first time dinning, and they very much enjoyed it. The waitstaff was incredible, we were sitting a while before dessert because they forgot to put our order in, we didn't mind, we were sitting and chatting. They ended up giving us more dessert to bring home. It was a very kind gesture for an amazing place! I'm always happy and full when I leave Fogo."

That said, we weren't in a hurry and still enjoyed the experience but may consider elsewhere during next restaurant week in Twin Cities. My mother had never dined there and was impressed with the experience. New garlic beef was a hit with the table, and lamb leg was very mild."

  • "We went there for resuarant week to take advantage of the pricing of $30 for dinner, and when we arrived we were informed that their best meet was not available for that price and if we wanted to have that we would have to pay the full price. Really? Way to honor Minneapolis St. Paul Magazine Restaurant Week. Would the restaurant that has such a great attendance lose in a week by making their customers happy? I guess management does not care about making us happy."

  • "A wonderful array at the salad bar!! Marvelous little rolls, and the meat never stops for those who are carnivores with huge appetites. It is overwhelming for those of us with petite appetites. The servers are fantastically caring and helpful. The seafood menu was very limiting, so for those who don't eat meat, the salad bar (which is huge) has to suffice."

It's a fun experience, to flip your card green - bring on the meat, or red - stop and let me digest. Consider that you likely won't need a meal the entire next day as part of the value. We had excellent service from our waitress, a nice chat with the manager, and courteous service from all of the servers running around with the meat skewers."

  • "I had one guy cutting the meat for me that splashed the grease on my silk shirt and pretty dismissive about it as I slid my chair away from the table he didnt really seem to care either way. Had an accent, northern Scandinavian look and sound. Weak sides. The prime special or house special seemed to taste best as far as how it was marinated. Seemed like too much MSG in meats and you can tell by the thirst level after eating here so drop MSG. Expensive for what you get and would rather go to Capital Grill or Mannys for a good cut of beef for similar dollars. More of a party scene for a group. We have kids under 4 at the table next to us and a party of around 30 to 40 right behind us so incredibly noisy. Fogo Malbec was tasty."

  • "If you are a carnivore and love juicy, flavorable meat, this restaurant is for you. Not only that, the fantastic salad bar is a meal in itself-delicious veggies, cheese, and more. The staff has been very attentive and friendly at each visit. We like how the management stops by the table to ask how things are going. It's a little crowded when walking around, with tables quite near each other, but it's livable."
