  • "This was our third meal at Farmstead and they didn't disappoint! As always, the food is fresh and delicious. We will return again!!"

  • "It was beautiful weather and the setting outside was nice. We had a toddler and they seemed accommodating enough with a kids menu/crayons provided but didn't provide kid safe cups. The food was tasty, especially the veggie board. The burger was ok and served with a curry tasting ketchup and potatoes that looked like breakfast potatoes. The risotto looked green and yummy, but I didn't taste it; the meatballs were blaze as well as the side of rancho gordo beans that we ordered (they forgot about them and we had to ask our server). The beans were mushy on the outside and hard on the inside and the flavor was boring. Service was friendly but average. Menu concept was good. We would come back again."

  • "My boyfriend and I came here for Easter brunch and the food was fantastic! I had the biscuits and sausage gravy with egg and the taste was amazing. The boyfriend had the eggs benedict which were also very good, that came with these crispy potatoes that were excellent. We sat outside on the patio, had great weather, and such a great time. Service was excellent as well. Highly recommend this gem."

  • "I happened to come across this restaurant on Open Table and decided to try it out despite the distance. Beautiful weather for a beautiful place. We were late for our reservation and they were still friendly and accommodating. Samantha was amazing and I believe it was the manager who even came by to ask how everything was. The food was perfect and the wine pure deliciousness! I would definitely come back to visit. "

  • "Had been here a number of times after they first opened. Always had a good meal, but it became boring. Nice to revisit...see some new things and some of the winners from the beginning. Everyone in our party of 4 enjoyed every bite from the appetizers (cheddar bisq., meatballs, potted pig) to the mains (sole, crab louie, brick chicken). Well done."

  • "We dined here for the first time and it was awesome. We sat out side on the patio. We had the burgers and pulled pork. Would come back again. The food was amazing!!"

  • "From the incredible ambiance to the great style, friendly wait-staff, and delicious food, this is a local favorite always at the top of our list!"

  • "We chose Farmstead for the experience of dining at a winery. It's a pleasant setting in a lovely area. The place has a friendly atmosphere and the food is good but not outstanding - the combination of winery and restaurant is done much better elsewhere, for example Bodega Norton in Mendoza Argentina and Vergelegen in Somerset West, South Africa (and many others)."

  • "In an area not known for easy dining options for vegans, the LMR did it without skipping a beat. Gnocci was delicious!!"

  • "Wonderful place in Wine Country for food. Everything we had was great, including the roasted artichoke and chili. Service was attentive and fun with a perfect day to dine outside on the patio. Will definitely return."

  • "Visited LMR for dinner our last night in the Valley. Great dinner on Fried Chicken Night! While you might grimace at the price, quality was high, and portions large. The slaw, Mac, and biscuits were good value additions. Oh, and corkage comes in the form of a small donation !"

  • "If you're looking for freshest quality dishes, friendly service, and delightful ambience, this the spot. It's a good life here."

  • "Oh my gosh, the meat balls!! Those were my favorite. Savory and sweet. Gnocch with beef ragu was spot oni! Home made lemonade - I believe this was the BEST lemonade I've ever had! Cheddar biscuits were great. Next time I'm having chili to go with the biscuits. Artichoke was beautifully grilled and seasoned, and the dip was amazing. Chocolate mousse pie was good, but I can't say it was spectacular or better than others I've had. But oh my gosh, the meat balls!! Service was great, too - prompt, upbeat, and friendly. The space was huge - airy, very open spaced, country/ranch-style, good for big groups and family. Noise level was a bit on the high side. But I'd go again and try many more menu items. Food was FANTASTIC!"

  • "My wife had the special of the day which was lamb sliders....they were excellent. I had the 12 hour pulled pork which was moist and had great flavor. The only thing we didn't care for was the potato salad but I heard tables around us raving about it."

  • "Diner was delicious, service fantastic. The cocktails were fabulous"

  • "We were looking for a more affordable dinner in the Napa area and several people recommended this restaurant. We found the food to be good, not amazing, and overpriced. The service was just OK, our waiter recommended we get their bread as an appetizer so we ordered it with our salads but then he forgot about it and brought it during our main meal so we had to send it back as at that point we'd rather have dessert than the bread. Our experience was fine but our bill was just as high as some of the other fine dining restaurants in the area and the food was definitely not the same quality."

  • "I ordered the trout. The fish itself was small, covered with condiments to make it appear larger, but once the condiments were pushed aside there was little meat, it was dry and taste less. Our waiter was very attentive without being intrusive and seemed to always know when we needed beverage re-fills. The restaurant itself was very rustic and casual, which did not match the food prices, I was a bit taken back with an $86.00 tab for meatloaf and trout without an alcohol beverage added. The meat loaf was good, two small rounded paties but, $21.00 for basic bacon wrapped meat loaf? Maybe I'm a littel more frugal then the next patron, but I expect an amazing food presentation at that price. There was little prestentation."

  • "My husband and I LOVED the food, drinks, wine and ambiance!! Since we had our dog which was welcome on the outdoor patio, that is where we ate. Great energy there. Felt like Goldilocks and the 3 bears though, trying to find a comfortable place to sit to eat. We ended up at the bar, which was fine, but all of the other patio seating is not conducive to eat at; very low deep chairs at a coffee table height table, or else tall table and stool on springs where you can't hook your heels to try to be comfortable. WE REALLY APPRECIATED THAT OUR PET WAS WELCOME, but wish the seating was better outside. We would definitely give it 5 super bright stars if that was improved!"

  • "Food was not good. It was Fried Chicken night and we are not fried chicken people. Perhaps our expectations were too high. Would not recommend and would not eat there again."

  • "Wonderful food offerings for all types of appetites. The setting and service couldn't be beat. The smell of citrus blossoms everywhere, we will definetly return!"

  • "Who would have believed it would be 80 degrees and gorgeous in early April. The restaurant is always accommodating and the weather helped with two small children and 4 adults trying to have a civilized lunch. The children roamed the outdoors while we enjoyed great Bloody Bacon Mary's. One version with Tequila, a bloody Maria was tasty as well. We always start with the yummy and crowd pleasing cheese biscuits and prosciutto. Pulled pork sandwiches and kale salad filled us up. All delicious. The kids ate meatballs and asked for more. I love this restaurant and regularly make it a stop for myself and friends traveling to Napa."

  • "We were surprised and, admittedly, disappointed to see communal tables so opted to sit at the bar instead, which was really perfect, as was our food. Mainly vegetarian, I had the best cheeseburger I have literally had in years, and my husband, the carnivore, had an amazing vegetable plate. I've never seen him order a vegetarian entree and he absolutely loved it. It's a little short on ambience if you're looking for a quiet little table but the food was amazing."

  • "Booked online last minute and wasn't sure what to expect. It was perfect. We had cocktails outside while a live band played and then went inside to eat. The food was excellent, as was the service."

  • "We had a party of 8 and they were very accommodating to our group. Very fresh farm to table food. Very large portions which can be shared. A lovely bright and cheery atmosphere. The weather was not good so there was no seating outside but it looked like it would be nice to experience the outdoor dining one day. Our total party agreed that this was one of their favorite stops."

  • "Had an amazing experience here, st louis ribs were out of this world, must try the aborio rice with all the veggies. Service was excellent at both the bar and the restaurant."

  • "We spent 4 nights in Napa and 2 in San Fran. The food here is amazing. I remember everything we had and want to have it again. The Ranch is charming and everyone we meet was delightful."

  • "My only regret is that the weather was not good enough to sit outside. This place is just gorgeous and the outdoor seating area looked amazing. My appetite was not great that night, so I ordered a white fish, sorry don't remember which, in a kind of butter sauce. It was delicious and pretty light, in the best way. I though I tasted cardamom, or some other spice, in the sauce, but whatever it was, wow was that delicious! I got the impression the were in to ribs, steaks, etc., all of which looked great, so I was doubly impressed with my fish. We like Riesling, so we ordered one they had on the menu. It was pretty awesome. If you want a casual place that's still beautiful with great food, go here."

  • "4 of us went to Farmstead for their Tuesday Fried Chicken Special. It came with a super fresh salad to start and the main course was family style. We had a large bowl of mashed potatoes & gravy, broccolini (WONDERFUL), and a large plate of fried chicken. It was great! Juicy, tender and crispy chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy - you can't miss. Staff was attentive but not obtrusive. We'll be back to try other things."

  • "We liked the restaurant and the staff was good (although the hostess thought we should go wine tasting at Sutter Home....I didn't think we looked like that much of an out-of-state tourist. And we have been to Napa many times on wine buying trips but I guess we still look like tourists.) My wife had the hamburger and it was awesome she said. I had the pork chop and was fatty and not that tender but I grew up in the Pork Capital of the US = Iowa, so my standards may be a bit higher or this might have been a free range pork chop. But all the side dishes were great. My wife asked the server what to have so I would be sure to ask your server what is good on the menu."

  • "One of our favorites. Despite all of the great food and new restaurants in the valley, we will always consider Farmstead as one of our mainstays. Love their devotion to the trade and excited to see how they grow in the future - cheers!"

  • "Have been to Farmstead 3 times and it is a family favorite. When college kids are home with friends they ask to go back. Great feel to the place, upscale casual. Food is always outstanding. Service couldn't be better. Always a great time!"

  • "This is one of my "go-to" restaurants when a group of friends want to get together or I need a place for one-one conversation with someone special. Indoors or out, the tables are not jammed together. The food is outstanding and is a great example of Farm to Table. Love the salads and hamburgers in particular ( they grow their own vegetables and meat) and any of the desserts. The lemon meringue is the best I have ever had."

  • "We last ate at Farmstead a few years back when its menu consisted of meat, meat and more meat. Back then, even the risotto was based on a beef broth. This vegetarian had to satisfy herself on a side of veggies and some chocolate pie. (Note, the chocolate pie made up for everything!!) Fast forward, we revisited Farmstead. I did not have much hope for the food but I love the setting of the restaurant and the ideals behind it. I was pleasantly surprised by several vegetarian options on the meat-heavy menu. I opted for Laddie's Eat Your Vegetables Board and a side of Rancho Gordo beans. Holy batman, those were some good veggies and beans. Flavorful, inventive and filling. A warm and welcoming restaurant with great options for everyone."

  • "Busy, beautiful Sunday with beautiful lunch to match. Food excellent and plentiful. (We all had something different-and everybody was pleased!) Service and Staff-pleasant,acccommodating and efficient. Ambiance-Lovely on the patio. This was a surprise place to local Napa folks, local east bay folks and out of town Nebraska guests. All the way around- a pleasant, tasty and enjoyable stop along our day. Go. You won't be disappointed."

  • "the Farmstead is a gem of an experience. The ambiance, the staff and the food are all perfectly married to provide for a lovely evening. The quality of the food as well as the prep is what makes this such a special place. Start with the cheddar biscuits, then to the smoked trout and move on to the lamb or pork chop and you will never look back. We finished with their meringue pie and wow...what a finish!"
