Dinner great but Salad unimpressiveMost everything we ordered was first rate. But we had also ordered a $19 salad-with-chicken that contained little specialized lettuce (like spinach, arugula, red lettuce, etc.), and nothing extra like olives, artichoke hearts, banana peppers, grated cheese, or even pepper. The dressing was not tossed evenly. The salad was three times as expensive as the caesar salad at Noodles down the street...and only one-third as good. The three or four chicken slices that adorned the top of the salad were indeed delicious!
The main course, drinks from the bar, and sides were exceptional. We described our disappointment and were later rewarded with a dessert and a subtraction from the bill. These were very nice concessions. We tipped well.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMWe have been coming to FarmBloomingWe have been coming to FarmBloomington for 3 years and we have had great food and great service everytime.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMTrent treated us well! Our server Trent was a gem! Not only did he describe all the dishes with devine perfection, but he throw in tidbits about the decor being based off the orignal structure.
Lovely brunch! Thanks Trent!5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMQuaintly ElegantWe had a lovely Easter brunch for six. The restaurant is quaintly elegant with charming, eclectic decor and delicious food.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMWe eat here alot when we areWe eat here alot when we are in town visiting our daughter. We just love the different specials that you have that change all the time. The food is so fresh and organic.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was really delicious!Food was really delicious! The restaurant was very busy so it was really loud, but worth it!3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMFarm was recommended to usFarm was recommended to us by several friends who rave about it. The atmosphere is eclectic and entertaining, the service is really good, very attentive. The waitress offered us tasted of any of the wines we were interested in, and came around just the right amount of times. The food was good, but not as special as we had expected. It's slanted toward Southern American cooking.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMBest meal I've had in IndianaProbably the best restaurant I have gone to in Indiana, and that's including downtown Indy places. The food is hearty and much different than a typical trendy spot. The server also brought out samples of 2 non menu items, and the cocktail list is just as exciting as the food menu. I am definitely looking forward to my next visit here.3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMBest food ever but service was slowBest food for brunch we ever had. Service was the problem lots of staff standing around and we waited for drinks and refills a long time and had to ask twice.3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMFARM Sets Dining Bar HighThis was my second trip to FARMbloomington and it was even better than the first. Our server dealt with a couple of special requests with grace and charm. The kitchen even surprised us with a wonderful twist on our dessert! By all means, when in Bloomington check out FARM3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMFarm offers great food andFarm offers great food and ambience, most of time I live the food, other times I love it. However, few times I find it more or less like food I can cook home, which makes me think about the prices and some of the foodie pretense of embellished menus. Some very simple foods might seem a bit pricy.
We will still go to farm, but for the most part stick to our usuals.3/13/2013 12:00:00 AMExtraordinary! While Farm can be pricey, it is completely worth it for multiple reasons. The food is the best I've ever had. I had the crab-stuffed rainbow trout and was able to save half for the next day. The presentation was great as well. This was my first time here and I would recommend it for any foodie. I shared the french fries appetizer with 2 friends - those fries were amazing as well. I will always keep Farm in mind for people visiting me and also believe it is a great "date-night" venue. I look forward to going for brunch for the first time as well. Food, presentation, service extraordinary - very well done!3/9/2013 12:00:00 AM
