A word from Emeril's Delmonico
Located on the famed St. Charles street car line in the lower Garden District, Emeril’s Delmonico has been a New Orleans tradition since 1895. Today, Chef de Cuisine Anthony Scanio continues Chef Emeril Lagasse’s signature style of “New New Orleans” cuisine, while adding influences from the diverse cultures that helped shape the Creole tradition. On the menu, it’s not uncommon to find ingredients from the Caribbean islands, such as crisp plantains, along side more classic Creole dishes to create a wholly unique dining experience. You’ll find New Orleans originals, such as oysters Bienville and fresh fish meuniere, as well as new favorites—a chorizo-stuff pork loin, dry-aged duck breast, and of course, sumptuous, dry-aged steaks. Delmonico features nightly starters, soups, entrée, and dessert specials and a seasonally changing menu based on local and regionally available meats and produce. Continued

  • "The lamb was a perfect medium. The creme brulee was one of the best. The service was outstanding. I will come back with each visit to NOLA."

  • "A group of friends decided to treat ourselves to Dekmonicos during the Essence Festival, 4th of July weekend. The food and the service were amazing! I would come back here for twice the price. Our waiter, Jonathan, seemed to anticipate our needs as if we were connected telepathically. My Amberjack Fish was tender and flaky. A few of my companions had the prix-fix menu with recommended wine tasting and they were very happy. The restaurant is not on the most impressive street, but once you step inside you are transported. Even the trolley noise seemed to die away once we were seated. Highly recommend anytime you are in New Orleans."

  • "Large group from Houston, TX spent the weekend in New Orleans for my wife's birthday. I made reservations 2 weeks in advance for ten and then added more people three days prior to our arrival. Hostess was very accommodating. Ambiance of the restaurant was perfect. We especially enjoyed the brief kitchen walk through to get to our table. The Chief Waiter, Francisco was great. The appetizers he recommended for the group did not sit on the table too long. Food and service was terrific; second to none. They especially went out of their way to make my wife's birthday dinner a memorable one. Great job Delmonico's!"

  • "The Louisiana crawfish gnocchi was spectacular, the special salad with praline bacon was mouth watering good, and finally the Louisiana Drum Meuniere was really mind blowing...what was the sauce? magic? idk, but you MUST try it when you go there. The waiter was lovely, all the wait staff was lovely actually...and the ambiance carries that special Emeril joy! Must go!!"

  • "Had a wonderful meal here while visiting New Orleans this week. They had a special gluten-free menu (highlighting items that were gf), and they made fresh hot tortilla chips for me in lieu of bread. Loved the cozy dining room, Service was above and beyond, Food very tasty and presentation very nice as well. MMMmmm! I'll be back..."

  • "The gnocchi, fish special, and drum were all awesome! The duck entree was good but not great. Service was very attentive. Just a few small hiccups with the wine service but nothing to gripe about. Had a great dinner."

  • "I've been twice and enjoyed it both times. The service is over the top good. Wait staff is professional and formal but not stuffy - probably my favorite part of the experience. Great waiting area with bar and piano."

  • "Overall great evening - food was fantastic and atmosphere was great for a social evening with another couple. Only downside was that the service was lacking in that it felt rushed between courses and for dish pickup while others at table were eating. Could use better trained wait staff in table servicing etiquette consistent with a restaurant of this quality."

  • "Went for the hubby b-day. Started with the Chartcuterie Board (it was very large )with the small cheese board . Both were exceptional. Next had the pork cheek and tomato soup. Have had better pork cheek. Had the Ribeye with mac and cheese also fab. dessert was the cobbler and coconut cream pie. Their wine list is extensive and had a very nice Licia Albarino white for a reasonable price."

  • "This is the 2nd time we've been to Emeril's Delmonico to celebrate a special occasion & I have to ask, is there a better place? They treat you like royalty from the moment you walk in & feed you the most delectable food. We go on Friday afternoons & have the 3 course lunch menu-this is a great deal & a great way to try Emeril's. 1st-Confit Pork Cheek (again)-simply amazing! 2nd-Pan Roasted Seasonal Fish-it was very good (which is high praise from someone who does not eat fish), and 3rd-Chocolate Chip Cookies-I know what you are thinking, but you have to try them to believe them-totally decadent with monster chocolate chips & just enough sea salt to cut the richness & make them totally YUMMY! We will be back & I hope very soon-we live in OH."

  • "If possible, arrive by streetcar and sit on the first floor. From the piano near the bar, to the view out the window you will feel you were transported to a 1920's honky-tonk with the very best food ever. The BBQ shrimp and baked grits is a must for an appetizer, sweet and sassy, fresh, big shrimp. The steaks are excellent, the fish is delicious, the service is magnificent. Emeril's daughters eat gluten-free and the restaurant can accommodate this diet effortlessly. If you are only going to "dine" once in New Orleans, dine here."

  • "At first I really didn't like how loud it was I thought maybe it would be a little quite but after being served and enjoy the amazing dinner this restaurant was 100% amazing! We enjoyed this a lot and the desert was also amazing!"

  • "Everything was Great! From the moment we walked in the door the staff was so attentive! The hostesses, the bar tender, our servers. The jalapeño cornbread was good, warm and soft. The jalapeño and cream cheese boudin balls were great with the sweet sauce. For dinner I had the Oyster Crusted Filet Mignon and my mom had the aged Bone in Ribeye both cuts of meat were cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth! The whipped potatoes also melted in your mouth. For dessert we chose the table side Bananas Foster, OH MY Goodness! They were the Best! Overall we had a great time, enjoyed the food, and the staff was just great! Would recommend this restaurant!"

  • "This is the best restaurant in NO. We were so happy to share a birthday on our last night. Attention to detail and food quality where amazing. We have eaten at most of the big names in NO and this is hands down the best. NO was our last stop on a two week foodie "tour of the South" which led us through 8 states. Delmonico was our favorite and we will always go back! Thanks especially to our wait staff who made everything so special. Not to take anything away from the kitchen- WOW!"

  • "First time in NOLA. Delmonico's was highly recommended, and I was not disappointed. The wait staff was professional and very accommodating. We were a party of four, each one ordered a different dish and we were all blown away with the preparation of each dish. We started off with the pork cheeks and prosciutto wrapped figs, both were outstanding. Then we ordered the house made charcuterie, just wonderful. One of my party ordered the NY strip and it was perfectly cooked. The stuffed soft shell crabs was the best crab my husband has ever had. I had the jumbo shrimp which were perfectly cooked. We barely had room for dessert but ordered the bananas foster which was made table side. It was a perfect end to a perfect dining experience."

  • "My husband was very disappointed because he requested the ac turned down and they didn't do it until he asked for the manager --who didn't come to the table. We went to Emiril's original rest in N.Orleans and absolutely loved the whole experience. I enjoyed the food and ambience at Delmonico's but, the temp was disappointing."

  • "Booked it after having experienced Emeril's NOLA. They are not in the same league. I don't know if we caught them on an off night but the menu was underwhelming and the price was extravagant. Three of the bottles of wine I ordered were not found in the cellar. The lamb was only good. My fish was overcooked. It was a very good meal but I was expecting more for that price."

  • "Delmonico is Number One! The key is strict consistency in the great food, excellent selection, wonderful caring wait staff and their interaction with patrons. Emeril should especially proud of this restaurant! I feel it is the flag ship of the others"

  • "From the moment we arrived service was outstanding. Appetizer, fish, signature cocktails and dessert were prepared well and excellent taste. Duck was overcooked which rendered it dry. Had higher expectations for consistency in a restaurant of this caliber. "

  • "I took my husband here for his 50th birthday (we were vacationing from L.A. and New Orleans was his 50th birthday present). I did not tell Delmonico ahead of time, but we could not have asked for a more spectacular night. For some reason, we were seated at the Chef's Table - Emeril's personal table. I then told the wait staff it was my husband's birthday and they went out of their way to make everything special, including telling the piano player to play his favorite song. And the food was fantastic as well. Very special night and I would highly recommend for a special occasion or just a really nice dinner!"

  • "Apps were fine, but not special. For entrees, my teenage daughter ordered the ribeye, medium rare. Her third bite, she could not even chew up or swallow. I asked what was wrong and she said it was only gristle. Because the dining area was so dim, she had not seen it. I looked, and the meat had a strip of gristle at least an inch wide that appeared to run the length of the steak. The food was average at best, the dining area was loud, and the service was extremely poor. I was particularly unimpressed by our server. He was curt, unhelpful and not accommodating, even before we sent the steak back. Overall, I would not go to Emeril’s Delmonico again. If I need a good steak, good service and a nice atmosphere, I'll go to Ruth’s Chris. "

  • "We had a 10th anniversary dinner Memorial Day weekend and the service was incredible. David and Patrick catered to us the entire time and treated us fantastically well. They also gave us a nice anniversary treat at the end which was splendid. The food was great, as expected, and we are incredibly pleased with how the evening went. Bravo."
