DaGabi Cucina offers a menu that ranges from the hearty fare of Spain’s south, the classic cuisine of the center, and the more refined dishes of the north.

Diner Reviews
  • "Service questionable... food poor...selections even poorer."

  • "The main courses our party chose were excellent, appetizers and desserts merely good. We will go again, skip befores and afters and enjoy the main course. Competent, friendly service. Lots of exposed brick = noisy with reverberating voices."

  • "When we sat down, we let our server know that we only had an hour for dinner. Well, our order came up so quickly, we had time to spare. So, we actually relaxed instead of feeling rushed. Food was good, as usual. We dine here fairly often, since it's a neighborhood restaurant."

  • "Why do some parents feel it's best to ignore their shouting children in a nice restaurant? We enjoyed our meal of happy hour tapas and wine very much, and especially enjoyed the special dessert of the evening. The service was good, and we enjoyed the ambiance on this, our first visit. The restaurant's noted as 'kid-friendly', and there was a table next to us with two very quiet and well-behaved youngsters. But, the large table in the middle of our room, with three young children was very noisy. Not much the staff could have done, but the parents should have taken some steps to quiet their kids. We'll certainly come back. Fortunately, there are three room to choose from--and a patio in summer. We'll take better care in choosing our seats."

  • "We have been here a couple of times and never been disappointed. The food is great and they have different options for vegetarians not the run of the mill stuff one finds at an italian restaurant."

  • "I took my wife out for dinner here for her birthday and had a wonderful time. Great happy hour to get us started and the entrees were fantastic as well. The wood fire oven gave off an inviting glow and I will be back to try some pizza sometime soon. Kaylinn was a fantastic server and was very helpful in guiding us around the menu."

  • "We go to DaGabi fairly regularly for their happy hour tapas, but the Denver restaurant week menu looked too good to pass up, so we went for dinner. The two salads offered were both superb, one with Spanish ancovies, Marcona almonds, beets, feta and greens, the other was a take on Ceasar but with Spanish cheese and dried tuna, which we had never tasted before. The meat portions were quite generous, For the main course I had a Spanish seafood stew - having been to Spain last summer I can vouch that it was not only delicious but quite authentic. My husband had the goat, which was also quite good. The portions are large, so we took most of our main course home so we could eat dessert, which was also excellent. The service was very good."

  • "We had delicious food and friendly service at Dagabi Cucina during Denver Restaurant week! We are happy to have found another good Boulder restaurant!"

  • "We were a little disappointed with our dinner. We have eaten at this restaurant many times, and have had good experiences. This time they seated us in the bar are at a very small table. It was dark, too noisy, and we felt we were treated like bar patrons. The waitress didn't offer cracked pepper on the salads or parmesan cheese with the meals. We had to ask for these items. We asked to be moved, but there were no tables left. I'm not sure we'll dine there again after this negative experience."

  • "The food was delicious. Nice place for a romantic date. 4 out 5 because seafood was overcooked, but otherwise the food was perfect."

  • "The ambiance of the place was nice, but the food and the service were a bit subpar for the price. The server was nice and polite, but just did not know any of the wines, or the dishes on the menu. Would expect better for the price."

  • "Everything was great except they were just too busy. They tried to squeeze too many people in for Valentines Day, this means we had to wait 20 minutes after our reservation, we were seated in the cramped back room since we were only two, and the service was slow. The food and drinks were great, staff was very nice, and the evening was happily ok, but it could have been far better if they just didn't try to squeeze so many in."

  • "So many delicious pasta options! I've been gluten free for a year and haven't had ravioli in a year. The gluten free ravioli is awesome"

  • "Enjoyed our meal very much! Been here twice, both times were great! The Sicilian pizza is very good!! The sauce served with the bread was PHENOMINAL! We'll definitely be back :)"

  • "Service and dining-room ambiance was outstanding. Food as always was excellent and not overly-salted, which I think is key to a good meal. The salmon was delightful, and my husband's chicken marsala was delicious. The strawberry tiramisu was the best that I have tried. Dining at Dagabi is always a special treat, especially in the warm months when patio dining is available for Sunday brunch."

  • "My husband and I have gone to Dagabi Cucina many times over the years. Up until the last two visits we have always enjoyed and recommended the restaurant. Unfortunately, we can no longer do either. The service during our last two visits was terrible. The staff is inattentive to the point where main courses come before the starter course plates have been cleared and it's difficult to order an second round of drinks. I've also had staff cut me off while walking through the dining room and everyone appears over worked/ rushed. Our last visit was St. Valentine's Day the service was a mess. There were too many extra 2-tops and I got banged into because people couldn't get the the tables behind us. Too bad because the food is still good."

  • "I have been going to this restaurant for a while now, and my last couple of visits have been very disappointing. The spinach salad was very wilted, to the point I couldn't eat half of it. The dressing was clumped on, and not mixed well. Our waitress was not friendly at all, made us feel rushed with our food, and brought completely the wrong wine (ordered white, brought red). Unfortunately we won't be going back again"

  • "This visit, Antonio once again outdid himself, this time with the evening special, Cabella (Mackerel) con Judiones (large white beans) with orange pieces salad. It was nothing short of heavenly. The salad combined with seafood cakes and potatoes from the tapas menu was both light and delicious, both in quantity and the pleasing of our palates."

  • "The staff was really excellent, food good, not much ambiance. It feels like the decore is a bit tired and it wouldn't hurt to spruce it up, in the sceme of things that piece didn't matter, just a side comment."

  • "The seafood Paella was extraordinary, although the only contradiction here is that extraordinary is the norm for the Spanish cuisine and continously varying menu presented by Antonio and Noah. On this particular occasion, the day ager Christmas the cheery but cozy ambiance was perfect for our warm family gathering."

  • "We had no concrete plans for this night and found ourselves here for the tapas night that transformed into a Christmas Eve dinner. The service always sets Dagabi apart from other Boulder establishments. The food was gourmet and organic beef is always appreciated. We of course love Tuesdays for the tapas, but it was a pleasant departure to have entrees creatively prepared. The negronis here are supreme. Simple, fun, tasty."

  • "I had purchased a gift certificate to this restaurant through a silent auction and wasn't sure where I was going since I live in Denver and I am not familiar with all Boulder restaurants. It is in a strip mall which at first made me question my choice. However, the interior is very well decorated and inviting. The food was excellent and the prices were moderate. There were higher prices entrees but then there was the tapas menu which was very reasonable. All three people in my party enjoyed their dinner. I would definitely go there again."

  • "Last time the food was great as usual: paella with lobster. The mora salad also was a gem! Don't forget the desserts!!! It is good to see a restaurant that has clients from all ages that feel, I think, at home. Antonio, the Chef, is always bringing novelties in the kitchen since he started working at Sagabi six years ago. Not only that, he has been able to keep the staff working efficiently, in good mood and attentive. Dagabi offfers great Spanish food, something that Boulder did not know before: I RECOMMEND IT and I have been recommending it to many people that became regulars there. CONGRATULATIONS for the amazing work you have been doing."

  • "This restaurant was not even open for the day I made the reservation with you. You showed that there was a Sunday brunch but when we got there it doesn't show that they are ever open on Sundays so you should take them off your list as being open on Sundays. We had to go find some other place to have lunch which was an inconvenience. I think you should make sure that all the days and times you are offering are really available. The food looked like it would be great if you could get in. I had to fill in the above ratings in order to submit this but I don't really know."

  • "Very different and interesting menu, and in Boulder, that's saying a lot. Attentive service, and a good wine list. Well-executed Mediterranean-inspired dishes that were very creative without being cute. Reasonable pricing as well."

  • "As always the tapas and entrees were delicious. Focusing for the moment on desserts, however, the desserts are sumptious with always something special to surprise the frequent guest. Antonio cpntiues to provide new delights. This week it was Spanish churros with chocolate. Not too sweet but just right for a warm winter delight."
