Culina, from the Latin word for "kitchen" showcases the intersection of traditional and modern Italian cuisine with a menu guided by exceptional ingredients. Guests can linger over small plates and wine or settle in for a night of superior dining in the garden. The menu features Los Angeles' only crudo bar with the finest selections of hand prepared raw seafood, as well as homemade pastas, pizzas, the freshest Burrata and salami, and authentic entrees. Our wine program offers approximately 200 wines, most available by carafe, from Italy and the rest of the world, with a range of unique aperitifs and cocktails.   • "Food was tasty, including the salads we started with and the entrees. We ordered the ravioli and the Margherita pizza as we're vegetarian. The seating was comfortable but we had to ask for a different table since the table we were seated at was in the middle of the dining area and next to a larger table with about 8 people talking loudly. We enjoyed the booth we were moved to until a another party arrived and sat in front of us. They weren't loud, but one of the elder patrons was trying to use her iPhone with the reading light and left it while she talked to her friend. She kept waving the phone with the light in our eyes which was annoying. After five or ten minutes, I had to get up and ask her to turn it off."

  • "This restaurant is located in the Four Seasons of Beverly Hills. They have an extensive wine list and the good is delicious. After dinner we went to the adjacent lounge which had a live cover band. It was a perfect evening. I highly recommend."

Not only did Chef Mette formulate a delicious, fresh and inventive plant-based menu, they really went the extra mile to print custom menus with my name on it and arranged a very special ice cream sundae with a birthday greeting on it. The food was superb - but the service was even better. A truly special experience. Culina really went the extra mile for this occasion. Bravo."

  • "I celebrated my 25th birthday here with my family who came from out of town and we had a great evening. The decor was beautiful and the feeling of the restaurant was cool yet upscale. Most important to me was being able to talk to my family over dinner and not compete with other patrons dining nearby. For being relatively busy, the noise level was low!! The menu was beautiful but some of our orders were not as expected. The crudo-served scallops were recommended to us but they were not sliced thinly enough, and the overall taste was fishier than I would have liked. The rustica salad was a bit heavy but my dad's tricolore was delicious. The pastas were flavorful but a little over salted and the pizza was good but not wow-worthy."

  • "I chose Culina for my mothers birthday luncheon on Saturday because my previous experience here had been stellar! The patio is a wonderful setting, and my previous server Jorge was a standout, both professionally and for his generous demeanor. Unfortunately Jorge was not working our bday luncheon and the service was off and not particularly attentive (disappointing for a special occasion). The food was good but somewhat lackluster and not much flavor. Possibly the restaurant was off due to the rain? However, it's the Four Seasons, and guest expectations are understandably high for quality."

  • "Very dark in the dining room, but the waitstaff don't have flashlights? Really? The Iphone did the trick, but still... it's a hotel restaurant, shouldn't they cater to many types of clientele? Otherwise, great service, food was good, nothing to rave about. Overall restaurants here hold their own, and then some, versus NYC, etc., except.... Sorry LA, what passes for "thin crust" pizza here ain't so by East Coast standards. Try DeLorenzo's outside Trenton for an epiphany, and then try again. Please."

The food is always perfectly prepared, enjoyable, portions are perfectly adequate, as well as consistently good. We have never been disappointed. I call it a hidden gem because a lot of people never think about dining in a hotel restaurant and we can almost always get a reservation. The main room is very warm and comfortable and you always feel that you have enough privacy, as the tables are placed appropriately, and not too close to neighboring diners. We love the wine program allowing us to have a half of any listed bottle. The patio is a wonderful alternative too."

We have never been disappointed in the food...delicious, inventive and the portions are just right. They have a nice wine list, friendly sommelier, and the servers are attentive.   • "It was my BFF's 50th so I decided to splurge for lunch at the Four Seasons after having had a lovely dinner at Culina with a different friend. The garden with it's colorful plantings was beautiful and sunny. The lunch menu was uninspired and the most interesting dish was an arugula salad with figs, chicken and olives.The portion was large and there was plenty of chicken. It was moderately flavorful but lacked texture and was a bit on the soggy side. I would have expected more from the chef. The service was mediocre. We were seated next to two tables that had dirty dishes on them and it took about 5 minutes for them to be cleared. Our iced tea glasses were not refilled promptly even though the restaurant was empty."

  • "We've been to Culina maybe half a dozen times or so and I'm still so surprised that we're eating at a hotel restaurant---Culina just doesn't feel like that at all. It's a great setting, private yet open, feels very exclusive in a lot of ways. More to the point, the food is just great. Tomato/fennel soup was wonderful and my guests loved tomato/burrata (with an amazing presentation) and beet salad. Entrees were rigatoni, ravioli, and veal chop--all were deliciously prepared and presented beautifully. We shared a rice pudding sort of dessert which was very good--I'm not much of a dessert person so "very good" is high praise from me. Service is always superb at Culina, as it was for us this visit. A fun and delicious dinner."

  • "I could eat here every day! Chef Metta joined the team about a year ago and the menu additions and transformations are incredible. I recommend sharing a few dishes, I took a friend for her birthday (she is gluten free) and we had oysters, polenta, octopus, tricolore salad and gluten free pasta. First of all if I did not know any better I would never have known the pasta was gluten free. It was delicious, my guest said the best she ever had!"

  • "We celebrated a special occasion and this was our first time to this restaurant. We loved the ambiance, friendly staff and all of the delicious choices of dishes. The breads and dip that was served was so delicious we knew we struck gold by trying this restaurant. An extensive wine list was also present. The fig salad and kale salads were so memorable I would go back just for them. The ravioli and other pasta dishes were all delicious and worth a visit."

  • "The Four Season's signature restaurant, Culina, has just about everything anyone would want in a fine dining experience: great service, ambiance and delicious, imaginative, well-prepared menu offerings you probably won't find anywhere else. Food prices are certainly above moderate but no more than you'd pay for comparable establishments. However, drinks are a bit overpriced. In any case, a thoroughly enjoy meal is pretty much guaranteed."

  • "The food is consistently excellent, the presentation is wonderful. But the service on a Saturday night was surprisingly poor. Especially for a Four Seasons venue!!!!! Also, our courses on a tasting menu arrived in an erratically paced manner. We were surprised by the contrast between the excellence of the cuisine and the rest.   • "We used a travel zoo certificate and had a 5 course tasting meal. Meat and cheese plate first followed by octopus and arugula salad, rigatona pasta with enochi mushrooms, branzino, and tiramisu. Came with 2 glasses of prosecco, but hubby ordered an old fashioned - which was very good. Our waiter, Jessica, was so attentive and friendly. The outdoor patio was perfectly warm and had a beautiful setting. Each course was so delicious, but the absolute favorite was the pasta. It is hand made and perfectly al dente. We've had their pasta before and it is always so good. Every time we go, I am reminded of what a great place this is!"

  • "Spent New Year's Eve at Culina in the Four Seasons on 12/31/13. It was beautifully decorated, and part of the restaurant was transformed to a reservation-only dinner and New Year's Eve celebration. Since it was a special event, the price was $135, but it included a 5-course dinner (there were enough servers that it seemed one was assigned for each couple of tables), champagne, party hats/horns, live entertainment/band, and parking (usually pricey), in an upscale setting that you would totally enjoy being in. I am a common-food type of person, and the food had fancy names, but was tasty.. On another note, treat yourself to Culina for the Sunday brunch. Great selection of food at the Sunday Brunch. A hot-spot."

It's set inside the Four Seasons BH, who's remodeled lounge area offers considerable warmth and class. Culina's interior is also beautifully designed yet more modern with a chic, inviting ambiance. The chef sends out plate after plate of excellent food (and drink). The quality of service is also notable. Our waiter Jorge was generous with his time, and made every effort to ensure we enjoyed ourselves and felt unhurried. We had an exceptional meal and a great time."
