  • "With kids at summer camp, we finally had time for dinner with another couple. We wanted a great restaurant that was comfortable with good food. We all loved our dinners and had a really nice evening."

  • "Visited for my birthday with my boyfriend and we loved this place. It was a slow Monday night and they were thinking about closing early but they noticed we had a reservation and remained open for us. I loved that! The food was amazing and the service was GREAT! We can't wait to go back!"

  • "This is a wonderful "bistro". The food is great, the menu excellent, know their wines, convenient location, friendly staff, I highly recommend it."

  • "Just recently came back from Spain, the food at this Spanish restaurant was very good quality however the Serrano ham which is dry cured was slightly dehydrated (probably refrigerated). The lamb was excellent. We chose A Palacios Les Terrases a good red for the price. Overall we where very positively impressed. We definitely will come back."

  • "Cannot recommend this lovely place enough - it has it all. Must make reservation though as they are always busy!"

  • "great location - just minutes away from the Galleria but miles away in terms of crowds and quality of food. the garlic shrimp small plate is delish! and the shrimp and scallops with risotto is divine. bread is amazing. we had a bottle of cremant de rose - sparkling pink...it was wonderful. ambience is warm and spohisticated, even though the location might not lead you in that direction - it is in a strip-like mall."

  • "Food was very good to excellent. I ordered snapper and told server that on previous visit I also ordered snapper and it was so over seasoned with pepper to the point I could not eat it, so this time I emphasized to server NO SEASONING!.. Same thing as before-very over peppered. Chef must like pepper, server didn't communicate or chef forgot??? At any rate, a very good piece of fresh fish needs very little (if any) seasonings. I spoke with co-owner Angeles about it and she very graciously removed the charge for the fish. We will be back in future but I think I will avoid the fish."

  • "Costa Brava combines all the necessary attributes needed to offer outstanding meals. The Foigras was perfectly seared and my wife's lobster/crab salad to die for. Her chicken breast was juicy and fully cooked, my Lemon risotto with scallops and shrimp was perfect. They don't try to over feed you with volume, rather they overwhelm you with flavor."

  • "We came to Houston for a fun weekend. I did a great deal of research on where to eat. We we drove up and I saw it was in a strip mall, I thought "oh no." I couldn't have been more wrong. We were greeted by the owner as if we were regular customers. Seated quickly and then the food came. Oh my. I am so surprised we could get a reservation. This is a wonderful food experience. I had the paella. I am usually very disappointed in the Paella, but not this time. It was fabulous, a recipe from the Owner's grandfather from Madrid. My husband ordered the lamb chops and they was just as good. Seems this is an undiscovered gem. Next time we are in Houston, this will be our first choice."

  • "My husband and I went for a romantic date night. I ordered the paella and my husband ordered the pork. Both were delicious as was our salad with goat cheese. I plan on returning because there were lots more on the menu that I would love to try. The restaurant staff was very attentive and friendly."

  • "Hands down our favorite restaurant. We love everything about this place. The food, the wine, the atmosphere, the acoustics and how close it is to our house. The food is beautifully prepared and presented."

  • "My young adult children and I had a delicious dinner to celebrate a special occasion. The service was good BUT staff made us feel very rushed. Our check was delivered when we were just about to start our dessert, almost to say they wanted us to leave soon so that they can sit the other people who were waiting outside. And this happened before the hour. And there were other parties who had been there longer than we did. The food was outstanding but overall, there are better places with much better service at comparable prices. "

  • "I am a Spaniard and it is very difficult for me to find an "authentic" Spanish Restaurant. We finally found it! We went on Friday and got the two specials, Rabbit (yes rabbit!) and Halibut. Awesome!"

  • "Everything was great, as expected. Food was outstanding."

  • "A Spanish gem hidden in Bellaire. From Angeles's abrazzo at the door to the best bocquerones (anchovies) in town, Costa Brava takes you to a different place - in the heart of Bellaire. Service is attentive, friendly, and helpful in guiding you through dishes you don't see every day. Generous pours of good wines from Spain and around the world. A recent wine dinner (held about once a month) paired Spanish foods with French wines and insightful commentary on both. Come with a group or dine alone (not really alone) at the bar."

  • "It is such a cozy little place. I'm glad they haven't expanded it. We had a nice conversation with the table next to us. The food was wonderful. "

  • "After searching for years to find true Spanish cuisine in the Greater Houston Area, we have landed at the Costa Brava and have, at last, discovered the authentic cuisine. Paella that is truly Paella. The most tender and tasty Pulpo Gallego that I have tasted since having lived in Spain for two years. Every item on the menu is one that we wish to eventually try... If you love true Spanish cuisine, then this is your place! The owner is originally from Madrid and she knows what she is doing with the food and wine."

  • "We had been wanting to try this restaurant for some time. My daughter took me and her mom. The food was incredible for the location. The lamb, veal and filet were great. Only draw back we had were the fries that came with the mussels, should be fresh cut or left off completely. As for the desserts, I guess after such a fabulous meal, I expected more. Other than that.............."

  • "The four diners in our party each ordered a different entree & each was outstanding. The quiet atmosphere was great for visiting. The bread pudding was our favorite dessert."

  • "Ever since the first visit everyone I've taken there has loved the place, the ambiance, the food. If you love garlic this is heaven. The shrimp with garlic oil is fantastic, as well as the mussels with wine and leeks, and a friend had grilled octupus which they said was delicious. I will definately be going back - there are so many things to try."

  • "Great new favorite of ours. First of all, Angeles is a doll and was eager to please us with great service and conversation. There seems to be nothing on the menu that's average. Impeccable presentation and ambiance. Wonderful rioja with dinner and outstanding cuarenta y tres con espresso after dinner. Do not miss the lamb chops, mussels, or paella. My mouth is still watering. Simply put; G O......N O W !"

  • "Enjoyed a very nice lunch at Costa Brava Bistro. Everything is perfect : ambiance, service and delicious food, However, the portions are extremely small almost to the point of ridiculous. My friend and I had the three course fixed price lunch offered with tea or coffee for $20.00. I do realize that the price of $20.00 is very low. However, we would not have minded paying an extra $5.00 for a more generous serving. People who frequent restaurants of this caliber expect to pay but they do not expect to go away hungry. The small portions have been noted in other reviews of this restaurant."

  • "I cannot praise Costa Brava enough. From the food to the service to Angeles and her grandfather's paella, it is all superb. It has become our favorite Houston restaurant."

  • "Two of us had something from each course, soup, salad, appetizer, entree, dessert, mojitos, wine, after dinner port and an expressso. All were well above average and we did not feel rushed even on a busy Saturday night/"

  • "located in a small strip center in the heart of Bellaire, this location has seen restaurants come and go but Costa Brava Bistro has found a winning combination of a quaint little hidden gem serving delicious food in satisfying quanties. The service is prompt but not intrusive. The range of food will have you coming back to try something different the next time or just a repeat of your "regular" favorite. Reservations, especially on the weekends, would be highly recommended as the word of Costa Brava spreads."

  • "We love to introduce this gem to friends who are always amazed and delighted. It continues to be a first class restaurant in the heart of our neighborhood. EVERYTHING we have eaten here--and we have been many times--is always wonderful. "

  • "I went here on a first date and had a great time. The venue is quite small and intimate, but you actually don't feel like everyone can hear you when you're getting to know someone. The staff is very attentive and friendly; they make you feel like a family friend from the minute you arrive to the moment you leave. Everything on the menu looked amazing, and the off-the-menu items sounded appetizing as well. I don't think you could go wrong with any selection. Definitely make a reservation since the dining area is small. Parking was limited, so you might have to park a little ways away and walk, but it wasn't frustrating at all. Overall, this is a great place to visit and a must for foodies!"
