Diner Reviews
  • "We had the Macho Salad again and it was outstanding as always, as was the skillet cornbread - a must! I had the grilled tri-tips for a main course, but the quality of the meat and overall flavor were just okay. My wife enjoyed her trout. Tres leches cake for dessert: also just okay."

  • "We have rediscovered Cherry Creek Grille after about a 10 year absence. No reason for not going...just didn't. We are never disappointed with the food or the service. Won't let this one go by the wayside again."

  • "The service is outstanding, very attentive and friendly from the minute you walk into the restaurant until you leave. The food is very good, excellent flavors and freshness, with basic presentations. The rotisserie chicken and lamb have an outstanding taste from their wood fired ovens. Would highly recommend for any occassion, however, the menu has become a little $$$ so you may need to go when celebrating a special event or deserve a special treat."

  • "I love the cozy atmosphere of this restaurant. It was packed on Saturday night, but they seated us on time and were attentive to everything we needed. Had several appetizers - grilled artichoke is the best - cornbread and deviled eggs were good, too. Everyone loved their meal - filets were cooked perfectly and the salmon was excellent. I have been coming here for 12 years and it is consistently good in every category."

  • "Upscale food for a "grill." All of us enjoyed our entrees very much. Tons of wait staff around but somehow our own server we didn't see much, had to keep asking others for service. Nice atmosphere. Drinks way overpriced, no glass of wine under $10. Also, they don't serve bread; come on, you are spending some big bucks; no bread? Then the option is not regular bread but you have to buy cornbread. Then you have to ask for butter; cornbread w/o butter? Place would be great if they'd lose some attitude."

  • "This place had absolutely fantastic food, but it was the matre d's that really made the place. They boyh came to the table to speak with us and even gave us a fantastic appetizer because the waitress had told them it was our first time in the restaurant. I will definitely be going back the next time we are in Denver."

  • "The staff at the Cherry Creek Grill was focused on our ordering quickly, eating quickly and vacating as soon as possible. Although it was a Friday evening, I expect good service both in friendliness and interest in the customer. The interest was only in moving us along. Very disappointing."

  • "I waited 15 minutes for a table beyond my open table reservation time. bummer."

  • "We had a lovely time and the restaurant's signature rotisserie chicken was as good as ever! They had wonderful wine by the glass as well. The only damper was when another dining customer came over and said we were being loud because we were laughing over a funny scene from a book. The music could have been a little quieter so we could talk a little lower over it."

  • "Cherry Creek Grill has some great items on the menu and a great wine list. You probably want to make sure you have a reservation or it can be difficult to find a seat. The ambiance is dark but enjoyable. They serve a great blue cheese olive martini!"

  • "Why did you change the dressing? It used to be creamier and a bit sweeter. Now it tastes more like the dressing for the Kale salad. I have tried it 3 different times and sadly, I will no longer order my most favorite salad in all of Denver."

  • "These folks make the best chicken and prime rib sandwich anywhere in Denver. Wonderful staff, great people watching on the Cherry Creek streets. We aren't fans of the mashed potatoes with cabbage but they always make you the most delicious fresh batch without. Keep up the great work. One of our favorite spots..."

  • "Other than reservation unrecognized, (open table resolved), all was great as usual. Exception: caesar salad was flat and tasteless, addition of pepper a takeaway too. White sea bass outstanding as well as salmon for Restaurant Week special."

  • "We love the food and the ambiance of the CC Grill but I have to wonder if they no longer need my business. We went for a birthday celebration with 6 people-- not what I considered a huge group. Made the reservation on Open Table and it wouldn't allow a party of 6. Called and found out it's because they "only have a few tables that accommodate 6, so they don't like to hold them." What? Wouldn't that be MORE of a reason to hold them? Woman made a "note in the book" that we needed a 6-top. Got there & they had us nowhere for 4 or for 6. Got sat at a booth normally for 4 which actually fit us fine but the waitress told us we couldn't sit there with 6 people and ran off to get a manager. All in all, it felt like they're too busy to bother."

  • "Nothing but good things to say. i normally don't post reviews, but the food was outstanding the salmon was cooked perfectly & the Oreo Cookie dessert was awesome. Great atmosphere, polite and attentive servers - overall, can't go wrong with this choice of restaraunts!"

  • "Cherry Creek Grill has always been one of our favorite "go to" restaurants and this evenings experience will certainly change that. Took my wife there for her birthday and nothing lived up to our previous experiences. Even though the special occasion was identified we received a table next to the busiest section of the restaurant. Received unusually poor service. Grilled artichokes burnt on outside, undercooked on inside. Food was below average for this location and, of course, they ran out of my wife's favorite desert there, the chocolate-banana cream pie. It may have been because "they only had 2 desserts" available that evening. Past experiences will have us back again for another try but, truthfully, this was disappointing."

  • "While menu prices were much higher than expected for a power lunch, the food and portion sizes were worth the money. Excellent food, great service."

  • "I went with my boyfriend for valentines day night and I reserved for 9:30. We got there 30 minutes early and they immediately seated us, which was nice. You could tell that some of the waitresses and waiters were spitting out a script with little (or fake) personality but they were still nice and no matter where you work, you have to say what you have to say. I really liked how dimly lit it was and it set a great mood. The food was amazing BUT is pretty pricy for how much you get on your plate. Considering you can get more for for less or around the same price in a few places downtown, I would say the place is pretty good if you know what you are getting into."

  • "I can't stop ordering the French dip sandwich and grilled artichoke appetizer to ever try anything different! This place rocks!"

  • "We came here from Georgia and we know BBQ. This is not the kind of place I thought I would find authentic South Carolina sauce and ribs done to perfection, but they nailed it!! Cornbread is mouth watering and the service was prompt and friendly. I think the message was sent about the greeters because we have been there on a few occasions and never have had an issue. Crowd is friendly, bartenders are chill great place for a dinner and a nice walk in the Cherry Creek area."

  • "This was an important business dinner for me, and those ribs helped to "seal the deal"! ;-) . This is my favorite restaurant in all of Cherry Creek. Please keep up the great work; service, food, ambience, etc., etc."

  • "We have been to this restaurant many times, but it has taken a dive recently, and it is off our list now. The menu never changes, they only ratchet the prices up. My wife had overcooked salmon with cold potatos, the spaghetti squash was good however. I had the prime rib sandwich, good but over priced. Before the "meal" we had an over priced glass of wine and an over priced mixed drink."

  • "The Cherry Creek Grill has mastered the grilled artichoke - their presentation is simple, elegant and extraordinarily consistent -"

  • "The setting is rustic with lots of wood and stone work. Service was Ok. We had to ask for water 3 times before getting it. The wine selection is good, I had a rotisserie chicken and beef rib combo dinner. The Chicken was good. The beef ribs had a good flavor but the ribs were fatty and a very small portion. The mashed potato's were good and the Kale salad was good. My wife had a Caesar salad and ala cart Enchilada. They were good. While the food was good, nothing was outstanding or worth returning for."

  • "There's a reason this place has been in business for so long! We went on a Monday night and the place was packed. You walk in to the smell of wood ovens and chickens on the rotisserie and a dark restaurant with large leather booths and Colorado decor. For dinner, two of us got the chicken & ribs which comes with the most delicious kale salad (I asked for the recipe!) and Colcannon mashed potatoes which are absolutely divine! One person had the Macho salad (which I had recommended as the best chopped salad around), and the other had the trout which she loved. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. Great restaurant, will definitely be back!"
