  • "In 1982 this establishment was called Hungry Hunter, now Carvers. We dine here twice a year. We started dining here in 1982. The low noise, nice fire place, and upscale service has remained consistent for 30+ years, even with the name change. We share the large filet mignon with hollandaise sauce and remember our kids we brought here over the years. Although they are married and moved away we can still feel them with us. So, the two nights we choose now are their wedding anniversaries."

  • "My friend and I reserved a table for two at 5:15 p.m. We were surprised to find Carvers quite busy at that hour. It was due to the early-bird specials, of which we had not been aware. We did not take advantage of the special menu; we ordered off the appetizer list. My Cajun lamb chops and spinach salad were delicious; my friend enjoyed the clam chowder and the ahi and avocado stack. We would order these items again and highly recommend Carvers!"

  • "The reception and food were great, but the service was almost non-existent. The waiter took our non-working candle, and never returned with a replacement; they ran out of their seafood special and it was only 6 pm; our water and tea glasses were empty most of the time; we were never asked if we would like more wine, and the waiter never came near so that we could ask; we requested more bread and it never came; my granddaughter ordered soup and it never arrived (again, we in a remote seating area, so we couldn't wave down the waiter unless we got up and chased him down); and it seemed to take forever after we were through eating to have the table cleared. We were very dissatisfied!"

  • "A birthday dinner for 7 people was spoiled by poor service and a failed kitchen. Thus is a steak house and billed as fine dining. 5 people ordered steaks and 4 of the orders were over cooked. The server was mechanical and did just the bare minimum. She appeared bored and wanting to be elsewhere. The manager offered to re cook the steaks but we declined as that just messed up the whole meal. How did they handle this major steakhouse screw up...comp a bottle of wine, a meal, offer a return trip at a discount no but threw some deserts we did not want on the table and then literally threw utensils on the table and walked away. Very sad."

  • "I Was there with my girlfriend. We each ordered a filet mignon and Hers was perfect and mine was not even a filet mignon. The server had brought me a well done ny strip when I asked for a medium rare filet. It took about 20 minutes for the error to be corrected. My girlfriend had to eat valentines dinner by herself. Then I had to eat by myself while she sat there and watched. Dinner took 90 minutes. Our server never really did anything but say "sorry, but it tasted good right?". He should have offered maybe a complimentary desert for the mishap? Perhaps a discounted beverage?I just hate to spend over 100$ on dinner and have this happen. The food was good but I would rather spend my 100$ elsewhere next time."

  • "My wife and I decided to go out the night before Valentines Day to avoid the rush and craziness. I have always enjoyed the steaks and prime rib at Carvers and we decided it was a good choice........well we happened to be seated near a party of 12 that was quite loud and boistrous but the worst part was the large party required most of our waiters time......we waited for everything much longer than we should have....i.ncluding being told the bottle of wine we ordered wasn't available (20 minutes).Once again I think the food is good here but avoid this resturaunt at peak times and when big parties have taken the attention of the staff"

  • "Cravers has a great central location and easy freeway access. The wait staff provided a wonderful level of service that was attentive without being overbearing. We had our two well mannered Grandson in attendance, ages 7 & 9, I was surprised when the kids menu appeared with a wide variety of items that included ribs that the older one loved. The adults ordered a wide variety of of entrees including one of the two Chef's Specials, everything was prepared perfectly. My Prime Rib was excellent, I only wish I'd have ordered the next larger cut. Carvers provided the location, food and beverages and level of service for Grammie's Birthday we will always remember."

  • "We were a bit slow to get seated from our reservation time, but they communicated the status very well. I believe this was mostly due to being busier than expected and guests were slow to leave. The service was very good even though busy and the prime rib was fantastic. I'd go again to try more dishes."
