Capitol GarageMother's Day at the Capitol GarageA special meal for Mom at a Garage? You wouldn't usually make that connection, and you might be afraid of getting engine grit in the eggs florentine. But at the Capitol Garage, the landmark trendy eatery in midtown Sacramento, we had the portobello benedict, the shrimp rancheros, the kahlua coffee, the pear-up, and the caliente bloody mary--all served flawlessly in the Garage's funky, but family-oriented atmosphere. The flavors popped in each colorful concoction, and, after our leisurely brunch, we enjoyed the short walk to the rose garden on the State Capitol grounds. It doesn't get better than this.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Brunch!Great outdoor seating. I really liked the relaxed atmosphere. Brunch selection was nice and they have good vegetarian choices. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I will definitely go here again when I'm in Sacramento.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMWaitress was great, very personableWaitress was great, very personable, attentive but wasn't obtrusive (I wish I could remember her name). We had the Eggs Benedict and the hollandaise sause was well prepared and wasn't cold when we got our plates. However, the eggs were a bit over-cooked. We were surprised that even though every table was full, the noise level seemed really low. Overall we had a great experience and we'll be back again.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMCapitol Garage is great!Great food and even greater service.
