Our server, Lynn Meza, was the best server we have ever had the pleasure to experience. From the crab cake appetizer, to the mouthwatering steak, and the delicious dessert to end the evening, the experience could not have been better. It was worth every penny!"

  • "My husband and I had another great meal at the Capital Grille. It is our favorite restaurant in the Twin Cities. Everyone there is very friendly and helpful. Several of the waitstaff recognize us and make us feel at home. On this and other visits we witnessed great teamwork among the waitstaff. They obviously love their jobs and enjoy making the dining experience enjoyable for all the patrons. The food is always excellent. My husband always has the ribeye--his favorite. I had the seared tuna, featured salad and creme brulee. All were delicious. The Sauvignon Blanc was excellent. We highly recommend the Capital Grille for a wonderful dining experience."

  • "We always enjoy going to Capital Grille. We've never had a bad meal there. Although we made reservations and the restaurant wasn't completely swamped (as it usually is), we got seated at a small, poorly located table for two. Initially they weren't able to move us but after we addressed the issue again, they did agree to relocate us. Thank heavens, as we were going to leave if they hadn't moved us. We were moved to a very good table and had an excellent meal and service. Although Capital Grille is relatively expensive, we always feel that the food and service warrant the price paid. We can't wait to return!"

  • "Best Steaks in town at a premium price. Steak rubs are worthy of trying. Sides demand sharing and are exceptional. Always exceptional service. Desserts are beyond excellent. Valet parking is free and speedy... Just a tip when car is retrieved. No problem leaving car with them to attend shows before or after dinner. Others in hood charge 10 to 12 dollars plus tip. This is a place where you need to splurge and enjoy its worthiness."

She was very knowledgeable about the menu, and delivered very attentive service to us throughout the evening. We had wonderful service as well as wonderful food. We had the chop salad, shrimp cocktail, porcini rubbed delmonico and the filet with poached lobster and buerre blanc sauce. Amazing! Ended the evening with a duet of flourless chocolate cake and cheesecake with happy birthday on the plate. We will definitely come back."

  • "We have been here before and I always say it is a guaranteed winner. Everything is always perfection and we could not ask for anything more. HOWEVER, we went on a Sunday during restaurant week, and needless to say, I am going to remember NOT to go during restaurant week again. Although food and service was good, we felt VERY rushed without anything being said. I think my mouth dropped when the server came up and said, looks like you are done with that, and took my plate away without even asking me. Or even offering a box. My significant other looked at me and said, were you done with that? And I kind of laughed and said well I guess I am now! Everything was coming in and going away so fast, we just picked the WRONG day for a relaxed meal."

We will definitely return to this gem for the relaxing ambiance, professional wait staff and the amazing food. It was our wedding anniversary (which we mentioned when we arrived) and we were made to feel extremely special with a beautiful and tasty "surprise" dessert and homemade truffles!   • "Took family to celebrate several Feb/Mar birthdays during Restaurant Week. Given great Prix Fixe deals, we decided to live it up with wine, drinks and some sides/extras. Both food and service were absolutely fantastic: Our service team -- led by Sandy -- worked like a well-oiled machine, never intrusive, always there when needed, 100% top notch. I'd compare service received at Minneapolis Capital Grille to top private clubs back east. Such a breath of fresh air... They really know what they're doing and made everyone so comfortable throughout the evening! This is now my favorite TC restaurant -- one that will be first in mind whenever we are planning a special evening out with family, friends or business associates."

  • "I love the Capital Grille, it is my go-to restaurant for steak in Minneapolis, it is classy and elegant without being pretentious. The staff is always professional, warm, and knowledgeable. The restaurant week menu was a fabulous value for the cost, the filet alone is normally more expensive. As usual my filet was cooked perfectly, a really quality piece of meat, it was delicious and getting it Oscar style (with crab meat, Bearnaise sauce and asparagus) pushed it into the sublime realm."

  • "From the door greeting to end of our meal people were very pleasant. Our group had, soup, salad, steak, shrimp, potatoes, and string beans. The main course came quickly, before we could finish our first course. The food then became cool. Nevertheless, the steak had a lot of flavor and cooked perfectly. The soup (clam chowder) and salad was typical. Desert was delicious too. There was more food than I cook eat, so I took home a human bag. They gave me pieces of leftover table bread. I would suggest they offer a fresh roll or two rather than pieces of leftover bread."

Our waiter was fantastic, extremely friendly and helpful with the menu. Our food was phenomenal, the states were cooked perfectly and our waiter's recommendations were great. We were a little disappointed because the dessert we ordered ran out and we were left with only one other option, which many of us weren't a fan of. Other than that, everything was great and I would highly recommend it for a special occasion!"

  • "I have been to this restaurant before, but it's been too long between visits. We went for Restaurant Week, and they had the best deal in town. I started with the Caesar salad, which was good, then had the 8 oz. filetwith mashed potatoes. The ffiletwas a perfectly done medium rare, and the potatoes were excellent. I also added a side of lobster, and it was served with a lemon butter cream sauce, which I wasn't expecting, but it didn't disappoint. My friend got the bone in steak with the Kona rub, and she said it was good, but wasn't expecting a sauce on it. Dessert was the flourless chocolate torte (amazing!) and cream brulee with fruit (incredible!). Scott B was an attentive and personable server, and his recommendations were spot on."
