The Boulder Cork Restaurant has provided quality food and excellent service since 1969. The restaurant is now one of Colorado’s most renowned dining experiences. The casual, yet attentive atmosphere is the perfect place to spend a special evening, be it to relax with friends or entertain business associates. Our banquet facilities can accommodate large groups with the quiet proficiency and superior quality that has become the hallmark of The Boulder Cork. The food is an impressive display of creativity and variety, masterminded by the chef, Jim Smailer. Chef Smailer has created an enticing offering of steaks, prime rib, chicken, pasta, and fresh fish selections; all on the cutting edge of culinary delight. The food is as fresh as the market allows.   • "My husband and I spent another anniversary here. When you tire of dealing with the mall scene on a weekend night, who doesn't love The Cork? It's such a dependable classic. The parking is easy, they take reservations for small groups, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, the wait staff is completely helpful and knowledgeable WITHOUT attitude. The wine list is still one of the best in town. Our Mahi Mahi was fresh and delicious and the chef was very happy to accommodate me to adding different sides to my dish. We always walk away pleased from this place."

However, we had not been for dinner in several months and made the mistake of forgetting that it is not really for a romantic special occasion . Except for her lamb chops being very fat and somewhat chewy, all of the other courses were excellent. The poached mussels were incredible. It's just too noisy with too much bustle for anniversary dinner."

  • "I normally do not complete surveys or reviews, but felt I must speak out for others. The service was wonderful, the food tasted great, but the meal was incomplete, very disappointing. When you spend $50 on an entree and get no salad or sides included, that's plain stupid. Sides are available at a hefty charge, salad too. It's embracing to you and your guests. I would much rather drive to Morrison to The Fort where you can get a complete meal and much better atmosphere for the same or less cost. The Cork is not even in the same league as The Fort. We will not return or recommend The Cork."

  • "Last minute birthday dinner plans at 6:30 pm. Found the 5280 Restaurant Week Special and an excellent recommendation from a former Flagstaff employee. Booked through Open Table for 7:30, but called and was told that we could be seated earlier. We arrived as were told that we could wait in the bar, but then was allowed to be seated at 7:05 pm. Dan our waiter, who never introduced himself, was solemn. Perhaps our casual dress, selection of the Restaurant Week meals and non selection of alcohol due to my long day and long drive ahead, was a generalization. We observed the other wait help smiling with extremely pleasant and humorous demeanor. I was almost about to ask the manager to seat us in another section. But Dan lightened up and was okay."

The noise level was rather loud, but I suppose that showed good business. Having a booth made our conversation flow rather than a table in the middle of everything. We appreciated that. We also appreciated the advanced reservation opportunity and reservation confirmation. We have patronized the $52.80 dinners for over 6 years and have decided that The Cork was one of the best places next to The Palms in Denver."

Our waiter was great and he even brought the birthday girl a huge piece of their famous mud pie that we all shared. The Lobster Ravioli I had was fantastic and the Filet Oscar was quite yummy, too. Nice size portions and attentive staff made the night a success, which can be tricky on a Sunday. Thanks, Cork, for continuing the great food and service you have been known for since 1969!"

  • "We had a great time. Because it was Valentine's Day, they added a bunch of tables to the normally spacious dining area. Our server even commented on how she felt squeezed in while talking to us. The table next to us was really loud and obnoxious, but luckily were just finishing desert when we arrives so they were gone quickly. Other than feeling a little tight, the experience was great. Amazing food, classy staff and it didn't break the bank to eat there. We eat there often and will be back again!"
