  • "We celebrated our Wedding Anniversary there, I made reservations specifically on Wednesday so we could enjoy sharing a bottle of wine as wine is 1/2 priced that night. We were told bottle we wanted was not available for sale, but we were still able to purchase it by the glass. We have previously gone two other times on Wednesday and were able to purchase the same bottle of wine at 1/2 price no problem, so I'm not really sure what the problem was this time, disappointing:("

  • "I chose to go to this restaurant because someone posted a picture of their creme brulet (sp) dessert. I looked them up and saw the menu, decided this would be my birthday celebration. When it was time to order, I asked the server, if they had creme brulet, and she they ran out the night before and didn't make anymore. Also I inquired about an item I saw on their website, and she said they didn't have that, and they needed to update their online menu. I mentioned my disappointment to the waitress, but I'm pretty sure she didn't pass it on to the owner. She didn't even wish my happy birthday. Will not go there again."

  • "This is the second time we have encountered this problem. Is there some special reason why bread is not provided. I mean no bread at all, not even with the dishes with which it would normally accompany; for example soup, entrees, appetizers and other obvious dishes. They will bring bread if you ask, but why is it necessary to ask? Even then the portion is unacceptable. If there is a major fault, this is it. Otherwise the service is very god and the food is very well presented and has an interesting selection of flavors."

It was great the food was well prepared and delicious, the drinks awesome. I will go back so I recommend Bladed to all. The only thing I think could have been better is for romance the seating being open didn't provide the intimacy I was hoping for on a romantic date. But do recommend based on food, drinks and service."

  • "I went to this place to celebrate Valentines Day, and i could not be happier, the people was very friendly including the host, waitress, and chef. Then the food was amazing, the portions were right not too big not small, the flavors were amazing, you can instantly notice when they cook with fresh ingredients. My wife was very happy that I took her there for dinner, also this place is slightly more expensive than the average restaurants around, but i think it worth to expend a little more for this food, Im very happy and will return for sure"

The food and service were outstanding which made for an enjoyable Valentine's/Anniversary dinner. The only down side was the noise level, which was probably due to the holiday crowd. Our entree, Shrimp scampi was cooked to perfection, the shrimps are very good size and very fresh. I grew up in an island country so I know and recognize the fresh sweetness of shrimp."

The servers are professional and just the right amount of friendly. We never feel rushed and have plenty of time to enjoy a leisurely dinner and a bottle of good wine. The interior of the restaurant is stylish and makes you feel like you should be paying more for your meal. What more can I say. If you have been to Blades then you already know this.   • "This restaurant is a 4 star in a hidden location. The location is Placitas and a small shopping center. It is well worth the drive from Albuquerque. Chef Kevin always comes up with great new dishes. The menu items are always great. I like to eat as the name implies, simple and light. I usually get a salad and a small side dish. With of course a glass of wine. BUT, there are times the specials are not to be missed. I will eat one of them and not regret the full stomach. The foodies from Albuquerque will eventually discover this gem. The locals in Placitas sure have."

Thank goodness for a local bistro in placitas of such quality that it's not necessary to travel far for a great meal and a feeling of Europe right in our own backyard! Only one suggestion ... Add linen table clothes to the tables if only to absorb the sometimes too energetic guest chatter and noise level! Otherwise ... A favorite we hope remains in Placitas for a LONG time!"

  • "On New Year's Eve, three of us dined at Blade's Bistro. My husband and I had the Beef Bourguignon, which was the best we ever tasted. The beef was so tender, it fell apart. The wine sauce had assorted vegetables such as pearl onions, mushrooms and cabbage. Our daughter had the Steak Frites, which is her absolute favorite. It was cooked just right and had a tomatoe & lettuce topping along with ample french fries. She also had the Champaign Cocktail, which she said was a perfect addition to her meal. She and my husband ordered the special bread pudding which was sliced in a pie shape. They said it was delicious and ate every bite. I had the Truffle Trio, which was accompanied by whipped cream and fresh blackberries. What a treat!"
