Diner Reviews
  • "Found this place on the open table app, wanted a local place, dispite the fact that they were busy we were sat right away, we did not receive prompt service from there. Super slow, the waitress walked by several times without even askin us anything. The food portions were small for the price, they were over seasoned, just not that great. Would not go there again"

  • "I think being from Los Angeles, you forget how simple a great eating experience can really be. There was no fuss, no fighting for parking, and no pretentiousness, which is the hallmark for the area. The waitstaff was extremely nice, but the standout was the food. It's one of those places where if you're not picking from each other's plates, you're missing out AND the prices were reasonable. So happy we found Beaumont's. Definitely look forward to returning."

  • "Love, love, love Beaumonts. Have been here twice now, and the second was just as impressive as the first. The food is excellent and the service very attentive and helpful with menu ch!oices and recommendations. Can't wait to go back"

  • "Food is over-salted and peppered. This is a new development and should be stopped! Usually food is quite good."

  • "Used a quick Open Table check to see that this neighborhood gem and local favorite of ours has seating. All good. Arrived 5 min late, no problem. Our daughter specifically requests the patio (one table left), no problem. Wait staff lets us chill for five, brings water and bread and gets a quick drink order which arrives promptly, awesome. Order some avocado/edamame dip (delicious) and the "day's tomato (heirloom done three different ways - delicious) and a grilled artichoke - came perfect). Order up 3 burgers (house specialty) - all good. Only complaint is they showed up too fast (3 min after appetizers arrived) so if uber efficient has a downside.... Anyway, highly recommend Beaumonts as a solid experience."

  • "Lunch was yummy and service was SO accommodating: I had the half salad (Kale, Glazed Walnuts, Kohlrabi, Manchego, California Raisin Vinaigrette ) and half sandwich (Cuban - smoked ham. pickles. roasted pork. swiss. house aioli. dijon mustard.) plus 2 glasses of Zin."

  • "It is Saturday morning, finishing brunch, after a family wedding, and needing a great place for dinner with my father and kids - I picked Beaumont's based on menu (something everyone would eat) and reviews. To start - great staff - friendly and easy going. My kids were happy. The menu was great - try the Korean Street Tacos! The bar offers great and inventive drinks. Everyone was talking about dinner the next day - it was the BEST meal of the trip (and maybe the best meal I have had in the San Diego area in years, and I can assure you, I will be back, next time I am in La Jolla."

  • "The food was incredible. Started with the Cambozola cheese...YUM! The carnitas wraps are everything you expect from carnitas, without the heavy greasiness of most traditional Mexican food establishments. Be sure to save room for the bread pudding, some of the best I've had."

  • "Great local La Jolla night spot. From the moment we were greeted to the moment we walked out-great fun, great service. We usually go to Beaumonts when the bands Jones Revival and Decembers Child play. Fun times! "

  • "Chef Morris is extremely talented. His combinations/dishes are unusual and most importantly the flavors ALWAYS work. His dishes are beautiful to look at there's always a surprise party in your mouth. His pork shoulder was amazing but the sauce was out of this world. I can't say enough about George. San Diego is extremely lucky to have a chef of this caliber. "

  • "i found this place through open table and it turned out to be the best spot to take my mom for mother's day. The food was fresh, the service was great and the restaurant as a whole was fantastic. I am definitely coming back again."

  • "The food was amazing and our server Dana was fabulous, knowledgeable, timed our drinks and meal perfectly, and provided an overall wonderful experience. Even on Mothers Day we were seated at our reservation time exactly and we served promptly. "

  • "We went there for Mother's Day brunch and had a great seat outside. Their outside dining is completely shaded without having umbrellas in your way and the seats are very comfortable. The food was great, as was the service, and they didn't inflate their prices for the day like so many other places do. I would definitely go back and would definitely encourage you to give them a try."

  • "We spent our 3rd mother's day breakfast with a reservation for 5. They sat us down outside and didn't give us the option to sit inside. Our mom came in and they didn't offer one of the flowers to her. The girl at front was rude. The sun started blasting down our necks. We asked the staff if they could put down the blinds, and they said yes but never came back for it. Another lady said she couldn't do it. We were sweating over our food and couldn't enjoy it. My oatmeal didn't come with the raisins advertised in the menu. The coast toast was sparingly smaller than usual as well as the other meals. Also a dog was in the seat next to us, and we have allergies. Horrible experience. We'll not be going here for Mother's day again."

  • "Pre-Comedy Store dinner with friends was a great dining experience. Everyone loved their food, the wine was good, service was great, we thought our waiter was studying acting. We had the best seat in the house and were able to hear each other and carry on a conversation. There were 5 of us."

  • "We went here twice last week and were served by Ray each time. He did an absolutely amazing job! This is a great neighbourhood restaurant."

  • "They have changed their menu for dinner. Personally, I liked the original one as it had more choices with pasta dishes and others that were missing on this one. I had the Beaumont Burger which is always good. They give you plenty of food. We go there for Sunday brunch mostly burt was entertaining out of town guest."
    Dined on 4/10/2014
  • "Our waiter was excellent and the food was OK but overpriced. $11.50 for a burger that was good, but the "aioli" sauce appeared to just be mayonaise and the fries were just so-so. Had the apple pie: it was about the size of an oreo and cost $4.00!"

  • "Beaumont's is right down the street from where I live, and it is such a great, local spot. Good food, good service, good ambience, live music on the weekends. We take all of our out-of-town visitors here, and it's consistently a hit!"

  • "The food was amazing, the band was great. A little loud so you have to be prepared for that, but we really enjoyed the upbeat atmosphere, it was a perfect location for a Friday night out. I would definitely recommend getting any of the specials because their chef personally hand picks local seafood caught the night before to feature. If not seafood, his picks are always seasonal and delicious. The food at Beaumont's is such great quality and it is such a fun local spot."

  • "It was a lively atmosphere, with a fundraiser going on in the bar, and an excellent musician performing. I was delighted to find many healthy food options, such as the kale salad and the carrot ginger soup. Others in my group had the grilled chicken or fish with vegetable and quinoa, and loved it. Service was very good, even with a full house."

  • "We found this on OpenTable as a neighborhood gem and thought we would try it out. It was great! I am a huge brussel sprouts fan so I thought I would find try them and loved, loved. loved them. The atmosphere was nice and relaxing and the food was excellent. I would highly recommend this for anyone in the La Jolla area to try and enjoy."

  • "I love this neighborhood gem with it's warm welcoming ambiance and friendly staff. The bar scene is lively and the bartender, Gavin, is awesome. We took our neighbors here to celebrate Valentine's and we loved the menu choices. The pear arugala salad and roasted beet soup were delicious as were the entrees. We will definitely return to repeat the experience."

  • "We arrived for our reservation 15 mins early and we were sat right away. The place was super busy and a bit loud but that's the energetic vibe. Wasn't sure we would enjoy the band playing in the middle of dinner but it wasn't too loud and the band was good. I like the "clean" menu options. A large amount of food for the price. The bar is fun if you're looking for a happy hour cocktail and small bite. Highly recommend.. The brunch is good too."

  • "This place has a great atmosphere! Hard to find a place that can be both kid-friendly and romantic. But it works. Outstanding service by people that seem to really like their job. Had Coq a vin in white bean cassoulet. Yummy! Pork special was a little fatty for my taste, but side dishes outstanding. Vegetables cooked just right."

  • "This was our second visit and confirmed our previous one. Food was good, but service was poor. Main course must have sat after plating as scallops arrived cold while fish stew was hot. We had to ask for silverware at each course. Asked for bread twice and still did not get bread. Noise level was too high for conversation. This was the last night of Restaurant Week, so perhaps everyone was tired! I doubt we will ever go back."
