Bayfront Bistro is a Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast Award winner and the wine selection has 400 bottles to choose from, with something to please every palate.

Our talented chefs have crafted menus that will delight your senses! Great food but still have a very bad taste in my mouth after this experience. Far too expensive of a restaurant to deal with untrained and overwhelmed wait staff. Feeble and uninspired attempt by management to mitigate problem followed once we gave our candid feedback. Very disappointing as there are not many restaurants of this quality on Estero Island."

The service was very good and our waiter was charming. It is a little pricey, but is well worth the price if you are out for a special evening."

  • "The Bayfront Bistro is pricey, but the food is excellent. My cioppino was seasoned just right and large enough to be filling but not a megaportion. The New England Clam Chowder was among the best I've ever had. My wife found her sweet potato soup and her salad were exceptional. Our friend felt the same way about her grouper. Service from our waitress, Gillian, and the trainee, Matt, was outstanding. The view of the Snook Marina and Estero Bay is beautiful."

  • "We ate here twice during our vacation as we had been there in previous years and loved it. The first time was great with great waiter and really good food. The second time wait service was slow and the order was not right so we were somewhat disappointed. We have not given up though and will return next year when we are in Florida as it is a beautiful place that takes reservations"

  • "This was the first time we dined here although our friends had been here before. It was not difficult to get reservations which was a little surprising during high season. The menu offered a nice selection and all four of us ordered something different and we were all pleased with our choices. I thought some of the prices were a little high ($40 for prime rib) but the presentation of the food was excellent. Cocktails were fine and the service was good. We will return next year"

  • "The setting is nice. Everyone has a view of the bay, which is nice, even though you have to look through a thick shade of plastic. The wine list is impressive. Our server was very good. Two out of three of us were disappointed with our food. I had the special, which was Triple Tail with Lobster Thermidor Sauce over mashed potatoes. The fish tasted good, but everything was barely warm, and the mashed potatoes were dry and tasteless. My husband had another special, Bob's pork chop. The pork chop was dry and tough, even though he asked for medium, and he had the same issue with his mashed potatoes. Our friend had the Teriyaki Salmon, which she was very pleased with. The portions are very large, but very expensive. Rather disappointed."

  • "This was our second visit. The first was flawless in all respects. This visit was very nice, but the main course was disappointing. We both had the early bird special $29 including a glass of wine, salad, entrée, and desert. Bread and olive oil was also provided. The pork roast was a bit dry and chewy, but acceptable. Everything else was very good."

  • "We had not been to Bay Front Bistro in awhile due to difficulty in getting to Fort Myers Beach (In Season). Of particular note, prices have moved up significantly from our last visit. Presentation was very nice; food was tasty. My conclusion is the restaurant has moved its price points too high relative to other competition ($36 dollars for a filet?) Restaurant was not crowded; perhaps something due to thrifty patrons..."

  • "Not much variety for the breakfast items on the brunch menu, the lunch items were plentiful. Would have liked some fruit options on the breakfast menu. Also, a couple items on the breakfast menu seemed overpriced to me, i.e. steak and eggs for 30.00, also Mimosas were 9.00, for one, however, you could get bottomless for 14.00. Server was pleasant but didn't seem excited to be working. The venue is lovely, but service needs work. Server didn't know the menu items very well."

  • "We had a lovely dinner seated outside facing the Bay. Not only was the weather perfect but the dining experience was first class. My husband had a delicious chowder and said the portion was so large it should have been his entire dinner. He ordered a fried calamari salad as a 2nd course and although the calamari was perfectly cooked, he did not care for the sweetness of the chili style sauce it was tossed in. I had a caesar salad followed by mussels and both for excellent. My brother had the butterfish and said it was one of the best he ever ate and my sister-in-law also had the calamari salad and spring rolls and commented that if she had known they were both such large portions, she would have only ordered one. Well worth the trip."

Retro décor, definitely aged set a la 70's-90's. location good looking at boats but with plastic awning to look through not a feature."

  • "Our last night on the island ~~ hoping for a gourmet meal in a sophisticated setting ~~~ instead we couldn't even have a conversation over all the noise ~~~ acoustics are awful ... Yet,we still expected top notch food ... The scallops were wonderful ... But the Mahi Mahi Entree barely "appetizer" size ~~~ the baby carrots were plopped on the plate TOTALLY bare ~ not a drop of butter or seasoning ... We really should have refused to pay ... Very very disappointing"

  • "Our favorite place for a romantic dinner. Service was excellent without being interruptive. Our main courses were presented beautifully. I had the butterfish that was served on a bed of lightly seasoned mash potatoes and my wife had the special which was triple tail. Both dishes were excellent but we agreed the triple tail was the winner. Both were cooked perfectly. Even though the place was full the manager found time to visit our table and inquire about our food. We had the ceviche appetizer which was just boiled shrimp in a fancy glass with minimal spices.. The manager confessed it was not cooked in lime juice as ceviche usually is. The shrimp was good but should not be called ceviche, thus my 4stars for the food."

  • "Dominique really knew the menu and could answer any of our questions regarding the ingredients. He did not rush us, did not hover too much and was very friendly. It was a little cool and our guest asked to have the fan turned off above us - and not in a pleasant way. But it did not change Dominique's wonderful attitude one bit. Butterfish was wonderful."
