Auberge du Soleil Restaurant began in 1981 nestled on 33 acres overlooking the lush vines of the Napa Valley. The cuisine has evolved with a wine country theme where innovative menus inspired by the bounty of the vine are paired with food in ways that delight and inspire longtime devotees. The Bistro & Bar is ideal for sipping wine at sunset on the terrace, a casual meal al fresco, or a nightcap by the fireplace. The Restaurant presents luxury at its finest while overlooking some of Napa's most renowned vineyards. Offering more that 40 of the Valley’s finest wines by the glass and boasting a cellar of nearly 17,000 wines, our guests can enjoy a full sensory experience of the California wine country.
Summer Dinner reservations available online 5:30-6:00 and 8:00-9:00 PM. All online reservations between May 1-Oct 31 are confirmed outside on the terrace, weather permitting. *Please review the OpenTable confirmation email for important details regarding your reservation*

  • "Not easy to find in the dark, Auberge maintains its rank at the top of Napa Valley restaurants. Its wine list is superb and presentation of it on a tablet is clever. The multi-course prix fixe options were exceptional. In our case, the lobster and ahi tuna choices were top drawer, the lamb not so much. Too bad one had to limit wine intake to be able to navigate back home!"

The place is beautiful and you are treated like royalty. The attention to detail and of course the food always surpasses your expectation. We had been there in the past but only to the bar, which has a different menu. The brunch had many options and everyone was raving on the taste and presentation of the food. Marvelous place!"

The portion size is perfect and the preparations are wonderful. Flavors are full without being a distraction to any aspect. Save room for the "candy bar"...you need to inquire as it is definitely a shared opportunity! The people from valet to hostess to the service staff ensure this meal is an experience worth repeating. There are many wonderful places to eat in Napa, but this is one of those deserving a place in the top 5."

  • "I was skeptical about some of the reviews that said that it was "the best meal ever". After all, this restaurant isn't in a major city. Wow was I surprised even with all the hype coming in. I had pork chops, which were amazing. The veggies were fresh, and I actually ate them before I finished the meat for the first time in my life. Truly one of the best meals i've ever had, with a view to boot. Wine recommendations were great -- I am not knowledgeable in wine."

We loved the special artisan breads served warm with delicious Meyer lemon curd and butter. Our appetizers were tasty too I enjoyed the potato leek soups with crab. What impressed us most was the service. While the bar area's service was not very attentive and even forgot to prepare my cocktail. The restaurant's service was absolutely Michelin rated! They were all extremely attentive and offered great suggestions. It was a Saturday when we went and a few weddings were going on. The noise level was not distracting even though it was on the deck below. Overall, we enjoyed our experience!"

  • "We've been coming to Auberge since it opened in the mid-80's and it remains an excellent destination for creative cuisine, great wine list, and wonderful service. Then, there's the unsurpassed view of the Napa Valley from the deck. This year, we felt the food had fallen off a bit: the Kona Kampachi Crudo presentation was nice but the flavors were uninteresting, and the portion miniscule; the burrata was outstanding; the Veal Sweetbreads were disappointing, unrecognizable & prepared as a small disk, however, the rice/asparagus/mushroom accompaniment was delicious; the wines were outstanding including Napa & Sonoma chardonnays, and French red burgundies. All in all, not quite up to the high standards of Auberge, but then there's the view."

The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I didn't feel the waiter was knowledgeable about what gluten free means. My husband has Celiac disease so gluten free is a medical necessity not a dietary choice. Unfortunately he did get some gluten and became ill."

At our table we had the burata with blood orange as a starter as well as the gnocchi. Both were excellent. Then we had the sunchoke ravioli, pork chop, and bay scallops. All beautifully presented and flavorful. The desserts were good but we would try something next time. The banana foster was good but not amazing while we has a chocolate dessert with milk sorbet that was decadent."

  • "Beautiful setting and a wonderful brunch! Choosing a couple of courses was just the right amount of food and gave us a great taste of the menu. Everything was fresh and really great food! Wine list was long and rather pricey, but with all the wine tastings before and after, we opted for a Bellini instead. I would definitely go back for brunch."
