Adobe GrillMother's Day BrunchThis was a great place for special occasion brunch. The margaritas were included with the price of the brunch, so made it very affordable. Enjoyed the outdoor dining even tho it was a little warm. Inside was a bit too noisy with the mariachi band. Our waitress was very good. Only wish they had misters on the patio, would make it more comfortable on warmer days. The Spanish architecture is beautiful; the flowers amazing; and the Adobe Grill restaurant provides a magical outdoor setting, filled with energy. We enjoyed the food, with tableside guacamole, churros, fish tacos, and Mexican corn on the cob! The service was excellent, and they even comped us an appetizer for making our reservation through Open Table. It was our first time, we enjoyed the food, drinks, atmosphere, and was very pleased with the experience. We sat outside in the patio, the weather was perfect, the live music was very special, and of course the beautiful views, with vibrant color and blooms all around. Thanks for the fun. Great place for parents with kids as they all had a blast dancing to the music. Must go if you have kids and are staying at La Quinta. Food was very good, but pricey. The cocktail menu offers a great number of options for margaritas, including a number of house specialty drinks made with infused tequilas.
Appetizers included roasted white chiles with rock shrimp - excellent - and guacamole prepared tableside. The chips and salsas are also outstanding.
We opted to listen to Marco, our wonderful server, and had as entrees the Seabass and the Steak/Enchilada combination. Both were attractively presented, substantial and so tasty!

And we all eat Southwestern/Mexican cuisine regularly where we live in Seattle. We know great food since our chef-daughter owns her own Mexican restaurant in Washington State. We liked the way the beans and rice were in small side dishes, rather than flooding the plate that you rarely finish. The wait staff were totally delightful. Our server, originally from Mexico, has lived in La Quinta for 31 years. When we asked about her life she beamed with love for the area and also Adobe Grill. Another assistant chided our two grandchildren and had us all laughing. The setting is awesome and live music delightful. We started with delicious Caesar salads, then went on to perfectly cooked fish and chicken tacos for our kids and the best chicken with Mole. Only critique is that for the money, heck, that was the smallest two pieces of chicken ever. Looked liked a game hen. Delicious beans and rice rounded out a great meal that was started with a complimentary empanada that was awesome and some of the best table side guacamole ever. Even the seasoned chips were delicious. The huge margeritas are delicious, but not sure they are worth the money. These were Rick Bayless prices, but still great food.
