A word from Adobe Grill
Famed for its award-winning tamales, housemade tortillas and selection of artisan tequila; Adobe Grill is an authentic regional Mexican dining experience located at La Quinta Resort & Club in the Palm Springs area. Adobe Grill is decorated in a traditional Oaxacan motif, highlighted by a ten foot tequila display, a double sided fireplace with a mosaic finish. Sliding patio doors allow the dining room and outdoor patio to become one. Let our master tequilero create a signature margarita from one of more than 100 tequilas. On weekends, we feature live music on the open air plaza in the heart of La Quinta Resort; come relax and take pleasure in the one of a kind surroundings.

Our popular Sunday: Enjoy a wonderful buffet which includes your first margarita and a mariachi trio. Seatings from 11am - 2pm.

Diner Reviews
  • "First visit to Adobe Grill, good food, nice views from the2nd level outdoor dining. A little crazy as Coachella Music Festival was wrapping up for the weekend."

  • "Food just ok. Ambience great due to outdoor ability. It's a great place to hang for a few drinks but the food is average."
    Dined on 4/7/2014
  • "Service attentive and kind and the flavors exquisite. Likely to return with guest. Thank you"

  • "We truly enjoyed our evening at the Adobe Grill. Marco, our main server, took great care of our group of 7. It was our guests' first experience at the restaurant and they were happy to be made aware of a great spot to dine. I definitely recommend this place for anyone who has never been."

  • "Love the Skinny Margaritas - but they use way TOO much ice!"

  • "We had a great meal and was pleased with the location. The la Quinta resort has so many wonderful options to choose from. Service was good but was expecting a little more for the prices you paid."

  • "It doesn't get better than this. If you want to impress your friends, this is definitely the place! Great food and wonderful attentive service. The ambience is so impressive. We've taken friends here two weeks in a row. The chef came out to greet us and make sure the food was good. Its a lovely place to take a stroll or listen to the music on the patio after dinner. Great and tasty experience. Don't forget to try the amazing margaritas!"

  • "Many other hotels, airports and other places with "captive" audiences are stepping it up; why can't they do it at Adobe Grill? It's not horrible but it's absolutely nothing to write home about. There's a Mexican place about 5 minutes away from La Quinta Hotel (Las Casuelas) which would have been half the price and has better food. Let's go guys step it up!!"

  • "I have to start with our server, Victor Cortes: amazing. Treated us like we were the most important table in the place, like family. He knew all there was to know about the menu and incredible tequila selection. Food and drink came out very quickly. The mahi mahi special and the chicken mole was moist and perfectly cooked. I have recommended the Adobe Grill to many friends and family members: all have enjoyed their experience."

  • "Great outdoor dining. Good food, great service, wonderful ambience."

  • "Best Mexican cuisine, in a resort style setting, that we have found in the valley."

  • "Adobe Grill is one of my favorite restaurants in the area. My husband and I arrived early and enjoyed a Margarita by the live band in the courtyard. Our table for the night was outside, which meant we could enjoy the band all night. Food was fantastic (always order the tableside guacamole) and ambiance made it very romantic."
    Dined on 3/23/2014
  • "We were excited to try this on site restaurant at the La Quinta Resort. Unfortunately, while the ambiance is very nice with a great view of the main courtyard, the food is marginal (think a Mexican Chili's) and the service was lacking. We asked for a cup of hot tea and you would have thought we asked them to solve a difficult differential equation."
    Dined on 3/21/2014
  • "Our waitress from the beginning was awful! She was upset we didn't order the most expensive tequila and from there on out she ignored us. My guest asked for a beer and it took her 15 minutes to bring us this. I asked for a lime, she never came back so I got up and asked the bar for some. Food is good, but service is terrible."

  • "I was skeptical making the reservation, based on other reviews. The property is lovely, but the food is mediocre compared to Mexican food in Texas. The guacamole and chips were probably my favorite things to eat. Several of us ordered the carne asada which was a thick piece of meat, tough and greasy. I could only eat about 1/4 of mine. Out of five nights of dining out in the area, this was our least favorite place. Too bad. We were all wanting good Mexican, but this was not it."

  • "Made reservations but table was pretty make shift- had to ask for a candle! Waiter did not check back on a regular basis. Asked for things and waited too long to get them. Very average resort restaurant- nothing real special except music (entertainment) was Awesome!!"

  • "We all enjoyed Adobe Grill! The guacamole and fajitas were delicious and margarita also was great!"

  • "Went For dinner while at La Quinta Resort. Atmosphere was fun, food was good but service was a little below average. When we were seated at our table (requested an outdoor table and ended up at a table in the middle of what seemed like the entry way to outdoors, basically half indoors and half outdoors. Looked like they threw a table there that normally didn't go there) by the host, we sat there for 15 minutes without a waiter. I had to go to the host and ask him to send us a waiter so we could order a drink. We ended up being waited on by about three different friendly wait staff but we were not sure who was our waiter. Overall however, it was decent food and a fun place to eat. The strawberry margarita was yummy. I would visit again."

  • "Very enjoyable evening. The waiters were very funny which helped to make the evening fun. The food was good but not exceptional. The ambiance terrific."

  • "We live in the neighborhood and have an ongoing but welcoming number of friends and family who stay with us from out of town. This is becoming THE PLACE to have that 'special' and fun spot to go...it just keeps getting better! Once again we sat on the balcony overlooking the beautiful grounds and their 'happy hour' festive terrace where fun live music was going on. I didnt think we could have had a better waiter than our last visit with family (a week ago) but then along came the funniest and most attentive waiter we've experienced so far. Our food was once again very very fresh - I'm sure it was made from scratch and did not disappoint! I've always said personally I dont care for Mexican food but this place is changing all of that!"

  • "This is a relaxing, kids friendly restaurant located at La Quinta Resort, with beautiful view of the resort if you sit outdoors. The food is good, too. We had a great experience and I certainly recommend the restaurant."

  • "Loved the table side freshly made guacamole. Sat on veranda and caught a nice sunset view overlooking resort gardened plaza. Attentive service and Happily made substitutions for guest in party who has a low spice tolerance."

  • "We eat at Adobe Grill whenever we are at La Quinta. We love the guacamole, salsas, and margaritas, the spicier the better. The traditional dishes like the enchiladas are great. My husband likes the mole. Just a fun Mexican restaurant."

  • "The best ever. The table side guacamole is a must. Don't miss a grande margaritas"

  • "I go here every year with my family and it just wasn't the same. The food was good, but not worth the loud stressful atmosphere."
    Dined on 3/5/2014
  • "While it can be a little loud, the food and drinks more than make up for it. Be sure to try the guacamole and pepino margarita!"
    Dined on 2/27/2014
  • "Always enjoy Adobe Grill... Patio is so lovely and overlooks the gardens of the La Quinta Resort. Food is good and the Margaritas are excellent as is the table side prepared guacamole. The best part is the patio and the ambience of this historic resort."
    Dined on 2/26/2014
  • "We made our reservations on Open Table and requested a patio table. We were seated at the railing so we could look at the gardens and watch the lower patio activity; adults and children dancing to the live band, people enjoying the gardens, the beautiful setting. Our waiter was so fabulous! Great place to go when guests come to town."

  • "Had super meal here a week ago, busy scene, enjoyable, not too noisy. Delicious sizzling fajitas, best tamales ever, good service. Not so on 2nd try. Service still good, food was not. Fajitas NOT sizzling, seemed to be pre-cooked & dished onto platter, prawns sautéed in tomato sauce & placed on top rather than cooked with veggies. Weird. Bad flavor mix. Tamales were overcooked & dry, nothing like 1st time. Live band was deafeningly loud. Couldn't talk over it. Depressing 70's folk rock. Sat upstairs on patio by interior which also had it's own music on, but on traditional Mexican music. Annoyingly loud & bad music combo. Very bad experience. 1st experience was a great one. 2nd one will keep us from returning."

  • "The best Mexican food at a restaurant, much less a "hotel" restaurant. Fanstastic servers, great quality food, loved it!"

  • "We've been to the Adobe Grill once before for dinner over a year ago and ate inside and had a good time. This time we ate outside on the top deck overlooking the beautiful scenery (mountains, trees and flush colorful flowers) and enjoyed the live music below us on the terrace. The service was impeccable and waiter, Marco Castillo? was very pleasing and knowledgeable. The service was fast but most of all, the quality of this food was the freshest and most tasteful we had ever had for mexican dishes ...bar none! - I could'nt overstate this more and because of that, we will definitely come back with friends more often."
    Dined on 2/16/2014
  • "Service was great but overall the food under-whelmed. Their award-winning (by whom?) tamales were relatively dry. The fajitas were nice but not notable, and the $20 margaritas were all ice. Seriously, if you order a margarita ask for no ice or easy ice, otherwise you'll be disappointed and your wallet will be empty. The dining area was absolutely beautiful and we were seated right away on a busy night."

  • "This was our third time at Adobe Grill in the last month or so. The previous visits were very good. This visit was not. I think it was due to being a Saturday night during presidents weekend. The restaurant was very busy and the service was slow but more importantly it was impersonal as food was pretty much just slung on the table when it did come. The food itself was messy and not well prepared. The cocktails were watery. The people had previously been very attentive and professional which made it easy to justify the premium prices. This visit was disappointing but we will give it another try."

  • "Our registration was perfect - not even a question! Our server Was personable, professional and friendly and the Food was without question: some do the best in the Coachella Valley!"

  • "Wasn't sure what to expect given that this restaurant is located on a resort but it was excellent. Smooth sangrias, margaritas and good wine list. Food was terrific, server was attentive but not intrusive. Started with the ceviche appetizer, a generous plate for two people. Husband had the well-seasoned Mahi Mahi and I had the jumbo white shrimp with angel hair pasta. Both delicious. House-made chips and two salsas were a nice touch and hard to resist! Next night had the tasty table-side prepared guacamole with more sangria. Practically a meal in and of itself!"

  • "The Resort itself is visually gorgeous, and this restaurant is no exception in its dark woods and tile. Outdoors! Menu is broad enough to please any palate. Ordered a grande marg that didn't even give me a buzz (which is strange because I'm not exactly known for my tolerance). It was tasty, sure, but I'm a little dubious about how much alcohol was actually in there. Mole was good; not great. Complimentary amuse was a nice touch, and the service was superb (friendly, attentive, but not constantly hovering). They are trying, but it's solidly average. For the price points, it's hard for me to say it was a good value. Reduce the prices a bit or notch up the fare to compensate. To win over the non-traveling locals, it has to be a bit better."
