Diner Reviews
  • "My husband and I met some friends we hadn't seen in 20 years for dinner at 900 Wall. They gave us a great table upstairs in the back where we had the most enjoyable evening. Our waitress Heather was very knowledgeable about all the menu items and was very attentive. The service, the food (which was amazing), and the ambiance made this night super special!"

  • "I loved the vibrant feel of this restaurant. It was quite full and many tables had young children but the noise was not bad. I was very excited to find one of my favorite wines on the wine list at a reasonable price. I ordered the flatiron steak which was amazing. I would return to try other dishes based on this one dish. My son tried their wood fired pizza which he thought was great. For dessert we had to try their beignets with 3 different sauces and they were to die for. If you live in Bend or are just visiting this is a great place to dine."

  • "My husband had the duck that was prepared beautifully on a bed with puréed veggies and sautéed baby carrots. He liked his plate clean!"

  • "900 Wallwas a recommendation from the hotel we were in. We sat outside and had a great view of all the activity on Wall Street which is busy but not annoying, great people watching. I had a wonderful warm kale salad followed by osso buco lamb. It was incredibly flavorful and tender. My bride also had the kale salad and the pork chop. It too was flavorful succulent and tender. Service was awesome and seating was immediate. Highly recommend!"

  • "The service is very good and food and wine are delicious, but the experience is spoiled by the noise level. Interior walls are brick and glass with no dampening effects. This makes for a very energetic atmosphere but leaves meaningful conversation difficult. There is outside seating."

  • "I had a party of eight for my son's graduation and looking forward to some great food. I was sadly disappointed in the poor service we received at our table, had to ask for more beverages twice, our appetizers came out at different times and it took over an hour to receive our entrees. My husbands steak had to go back because it wasn't cooked to the right temperature he had requested. When we received it back it still was't cooked to the correct temperature. My father ordered the special, prime rib, he received nothing but fat and bone. When we complained to our server he did nothing!!! "

  • "I might have given this place 3 stars, but our waiter was so great that I'm giving it an extra star. We wanted oysters but they were out. I got the deviled eggs which were delicious because heavy on the horseradish. My partner got the capellini, which he enjoyed very much. The highlight for me was the Hot Honey Toddy. Smooth and spicy, aromatic and perfectly heated. I wasn't in a drinking mood or I would have tried one of the wine flights."

  • "Ate here with my son who lives in Bend but had never dined here. We loved the atmosphere and found the food to be delicious!! The only complaint we had was that the service was very slow and somewhat inattentive. We had to ask for water and soda refills. Our soda actually came after our meals had been finished and cleared from the table. Otherwise, it was a great experience!!"

  • "We've been to 900 Wall St. before but don't remember how good it was. The Shrimp topped Salmon was absolutely delicious...as good as I've ever had. My husband had pork that he said was also terrific. The only tiny thing that was not exactly right was the slightly dirty martini. Bartender needs to work on that just a bit. We will definitely put this restaurant on our "rotation" !!"

  • "Not knowing Bend, we selected 900 Wall from Open Table based on reviews, menu, and availability. Would not have been happier with our selection and will go back again. The asparagus dishes were excellent and a new experience with fried capers was a treat!"

  • "We split our time between Seattle and Bend, and come to 900 Wall frequently. The food is consistently well prepared, and the menu well thought-out. I often worry that I am falling into a rut when I make reservations, but am then reminded how much I love the food. Service is also consistently good - prompt, polite but friendly and not overly formal, and helpful in making menu decisions. I'm sure I'll be back, again and again, without any regrets."

  • "We have been living here in Bend for 8 years and this is one of our go to restaurants. It is always consistent in food quality and service. Menu has a number of offerings with specials each night. The happy hour is fun with great prices on regular menu items. The best thing about the restaurant is you can always count on a great meal. "

  • "We went here on a special occasion and the service was really nice and efficient. The food was amazing. Everyone's plates looked amazing and tasted even better. Definitely would recommend this place. "

  • "We ordered:! Steak Pizza Beef tarter Desert Desert wasn't great but beet tarter and steak were amazing. Pizza was also great with thin crisp. "

  • "Our waiter was wonderful - in his late forties maybe with dark hair. Sorry, I can't remember his name. Food was superb."

  • "Everything we ordered was very tasty, well presented and well portioned. We had cocktails, the server was even kind enough to help my pregnant friend select a cocktail to turn "virgin". If you are trying to catch up with an old friend or have a romantic date and get to know someone, avoid going during peak hours unless you want to yell at each other as it's a very popular place and quite loud."

  • "We haven't been here in2 years, but the quality of food has really declined. Barely any cheese, or sausage on the sausage pizza. Salmon was overdone and salty. Kids eat free on Sunday, but it wasn't worth it since they didn't want to eat the food. Even the cheese pizza tasted bad. Dessert beignets were ok, not great. Apple crisp was pretty good. Kids cookie and ice cream: I don't know how you can mess up a chocolate chip cookie, but it wasn't a good one. Sorry, but there are much better choices in town."

  • "We had walked past 900 Wall a couple of evenings, and given the line of people waiting to be seated, thought it must be excellent! We made reservations and were excited about our night out. The service was good, and the wine/beer selections are very good. The olive taster and focaccia bread came to our table and our palates looked forward to what was coming next. I had ordered 4 of the vegetable sides for what seemed would be a gourmet treat based on description. My husband ordered the evening special, our waitress recommended it as "excellent": prime rib. We were both extremely disappointed with our meals. We hesitated to send them back, as we weren't sure there would be anything worth re-ordering. Poor quality and over priced."

  • "We had a wonderful evening at 900Wall with friends from out of town. Service was spot on and friendly. Everything we ordered was really good. Looking forward to our next visit. Next time we will give the Happy Hour menu a try ... options looked tasty and priced right!"

  • "The service overall was slow for a Wednesday night and it not being very crowded but not sure if it was because they were not wanting to rush you or it was just slow."

  • "Four of us had dinner here and thoroughly enjoyed it! We first ordered 4 or 5 small plates, which we savored. They were generous enough, though, that we didn't feel the need to order entrees afterward, so three of us went with salads or another small plate for our main course. Our server was very patient with us. She was attentive enough to our needs but we never felt rushed to decide."

  • "My wife and I frequent this restaurant once or twice a month. With 8 to 10 restaurants in a 4 block area of downtown Bend this in itself is a recommendation. Although the menu does not change much specials are usually available. The wine list and reserve wine lists are pretty extensive. The service is always very good. What is offered on the menu is always quite good and the specials of the day are really good. The restaurant is nicely located in downtown and offers seasonal outdoor seating. Children are welcome but seems few families take advantage of this. Mostly seems to be a couples restaurant. Bar scene is rather eclectic - drinks are awesome."

  • "Unique spins on traditional dishes, such as a tartare served with a generous dome of horseradish custard with embedded egg yolk. Cocktails and food had a healthy amount of spice, which I adore and admire."

  • "I was impressed with several things about the service during a very busy Hallmark holiday. We had a reservation for 8pm, and even with the restaurant very full and with people waiting, we were seated at 8:05. Our waiter was prompt, curteous, and efficient without being intrusive. Overall, the food was very good, though the lambchops were a bit overcooked. The presentation of each of the courses was very nice."

  • "This can be a fun place to eat and socialize. We unfortunately were sat too close to the door - so that any time someone came in or out, we were blasted with arctic air. Suggestion: bring mittens and a hat!"

  • "We were lucky enough to get a reservation for New Year's Eve. The place was decorated with festive balloons and lights and the energy level was palpable. Service was excellent, the food was consistently good. The caesar salad was nothing special, but the tuna carpaccio was fresh and delicious. My salmon was cooked to perfection, while my companion enjoyed a delicious duck breast that was moist and tender inside and crispy skin on outside. Dessert was beignet dipped in strawberry, vanilla and chocolate sauce. The portion size was big and satisfying. All in all, a great way to celebrate New Year's Eve."

  • "One if a few places open in downtown Bend on Christmas Eve. Every table was filled yet the restaurant was staffed perfectly to give great service and very good food. We had a party of six and I thought the food was great, I had a steak and it met my expectations and was cooked med rare as ordered and was hot when served. The Wall's staff did a great job on a busy night . Thank you for being open and making our family Christmas Eve a great evening."

  • "A little commercial and not quite good enough: We had hoped this would be a special meal as 900 Wall came highly rated. The good - Nice menu. Respectable food. Generous Portions. Reasonable Prices. Good service. Pleasant ambiance. The bad - Mediocre wine flight. Mediocre bread. Meats deliciously grilled and perfectly done but likely brined and too salty. Sides could have been delicious but were not... white beans undercooked and slightly hard; braised greens tough, etc. Expected modest but good Flight of French wines. Disappointed. This would be a great place for family/guests who are not foodies and who appreciate decent food, large portions, good service and quick turn-around. I would not go back unless I had this sort of group with me."

  • "Our requested table was waiting for us, and my friend and I had a delightful, unhurried Sunday dinner. It was Dec. and the Hood Canal oysters were exceptional. We also had the french fries made from locally grown potatoes - full of flavor, crisp, excellent. I had the lamb shank, again local, and my friend had a tenderloin. Our server honestly reported that this particular beef was not local and we appreciated the information. The service was friendly and well informed."

  • "Enjoyed the food very much with the exception of the roasted potatoes which were over-done and too dry, and needed extra flavoring. The salad was Great! -- tiny, baby greens with a delightful dressing--this came with the appetizer cheese pie kind of thing--don't know what it's called on the menu. The flank steak was tender and flavorful. The duck confit was tender and good, although, again, I thought it could do with a little more seasoning--sage, thyme, rosemary, and more garlic. These seasoning wishes are personal preferences, and I understand you must have universal appeal. All in all, eating at 900 Wall was a delightful experience and the house wine was really nice and went well with the meal. And a good time was had by all."
