AAA Four Diamond restaurant located at the Virginia Beach oceanfront, Zoës originally opened in 2003, and re-opened under new ownership on March 16, 2009. Renowned sommelier Marc Sauter, as well as devoted restaurant goers Bill and Joni Greene, to continue the Zoës legacy with the same great location, friendly staff, soothing ambience, and award-winning food and spirits.

Together, their hope is to offer their guests a wonderful dining experience that has a comfortable, familiar atmosphere, yet that special touch of class that makes Zoës “the place to go when you absolutely must impress your guests.”

Reservations are recommended but walk-ins are always welcome.

We were in for the first time on Friday night and had an awesome experience! Even before we reached the front door, the valet was very friendly and talking up the food and it did not disappoint. Love the little personal touch of cards on the table for special occasions. Our server Regina went above and beyond for us and has mastered the art of telepathy. Not many servers have the 6th sense to know exactly when you need something and appear out of thin air at the perfect time, without being overbearing or making you feel rushed. She was super friendly and had a great sense of humor but hit every step of service perfectly. Regina made us feel at home and cared about without making the experience stuffy (which can be a hard line to balance in fine dining) and she’s an absolute pro! Now onto the food. Yes, the price tag is a little hefty, but you don’t go to Zoe’s expecting to pay McDonald’s prices. Every bite was worth every dollar we paid. We started with the sweet corn and lump crab bisque on special and it was perfect. Sweet but not too sweet, hot but not too hot to dig in immediately, and the perfect portion size to get you excited for more without filling you up. For mains I got the lobster and scallop duo and my boyfriend got the NY Strip. The lobster was perfect without being rubbery, and the scallops were cooked to melt-in-your-mouth perfection. The tortellini was a little sweet for my taste, but balanced out the saltiness of the seafood well. Boyfriend said the steak was “fantastic” and as a man of few words, I know that’s high praise. Finished off the night as any respectable basic white woman does with an espresso martini, and about fell in love with the bartender. As a local, I’m always a little hesitant to journey down to the oceanfront during the summer, but this place is absolutely worth the trip. My only nit pick is that there was no music playing in the dining room area and we could hear other people’s conversations very easily, but overall 10/10

Zoe’s is always a wonderful experience. They always treat you like an old friend. The service is impeccable and the food is outstanding.

Overall a very good experience. The staff were all very attentive and responsive, and the food overall was very good to excellent. Outstanding wine/cocktail list and quality. Considering the price point, however, of two filet mignons ordered, one was perfectly prepared but the other was not $50+ quality (fat/gristle, and overcooked); should never have left the kitchen. Also, considering experiences at numerous fine dining restaurants in the DC area and up and down the eastern seaboard, the restaurant policy to not begin preparing any part of the meal (salad/starters included) until after placing an entire order was both unexpected and unwelcome. The staff offered to compensate for the poor filet, but the whole-meal ordering policy appears to be the standard at this establishment. Again, overall a very good experience, and we may come back, sit at the bar next time.

Visiting Virginia Beach and first time at Zoe’s was a pleasure! We were seated at the chef’s table and the food and service did not disappoint. Regina was so sweet and funny and all the staff were very attentive. 10/10 recommend and will revisit next time we visit VA!

Everything is what i expected. My son and I had our dinner. food is good. Service is good. Usually when it comes to fine dining i see them prepare everything beautifully creatively BUT the taste doesn’t match the look. This time I was really pleased I loved the taste and i even cleared my plate. And OMG the carrot cake really is 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼❤️❤️❤️
