Great gluten free restaurant.
Awesome food - Zocca has the best gluten free menu I've seen in an Italian restaurant, bar none. Food, from both the regular menu and the gluten free, was amazing. Sat outside so noise was minimal, don't know about inside.
The food and wine was good and it was relaxing
The Bolognese pasta was not very tasty with very few specks of meat, not seasoned, blah.
The raspberry dessert was pitiful. I took one bite and left the remaining.
I book a table for wedding anniversary dinner and ask 3 times during the day to have table ready. Did not happen even if the resto was not busy. Food was dry and obviously pasta have been standing under heater too long, service was poor and unprofessional and never got chance to order vine etc... totally overrated, staff incompetent and most probably not well managed. Only location make sense on the riverwalk.
Our waiter greeted us in a way that made us feel like the most important guests of the night. He kept our glasses full and the bread basket warm. The food was incredibly savory. We were sat next to the window so we can see the river walk, it was very calming and enjoyable. This was a very important night for my wife and I. Last weekend alone without children before a deployment to Afghanistan. We will definitely come back for dinner when I return home.
Excellent service and quality tastes! Welcoming from start to finish, and knowledgeable regarding our food allergies. We’ve already been back.
Lunch outside by the Riverwalk was wonderful. We took our young grandchildren out for lunch. The waitress was very good with them. She made it easy for us. Excellent food.
It was nice and relaxed compared to the other side of the riverwalk. Food was amazing. Never heard of Italian ceviche and it was amazing! Recommend!
Excellent service, great atmosphere, wonderful wine, however, the food was very bland. I was disappointed in the entree. The ambiance and 5-star service made up for the less than average entree though. It was an overall great night. I’d return for Happy Hour but not for dinner.
Food was delicious and the servers had high energy and were very friendly!
The food is amazing, unlike anything I've ever eaten! Our waiter Orlando went above and beyond to make our anniversary special. The atmosphere is a bit more relaxed than I expected, which was nice.
Poor service. One of the appetizers was forgotten completely, water was refilled only once, drinks left empty for a long time (could have ordered two more rounds had the server paid attention).
Food was average at best. Seafood pasta was swimming in oil and the pea risotto was very over cooked.
Our experience was outstanding. The wait staff were very kind and friendly. It was fantastic sitting inside but being able to look out on the river walk. I would definitely recommend Zocca’s restaurant to anyone.
Our waiter Jason made our Anniversary so special! He was so helpful with food choices and was so knowledgeable about the menu! Highly recommend!!!! Amazing food & service!!!!
Reminded me of a school cafeteria or pizza parlor.
Great food and ambiance right on the riverwalk. The wait is little long after the order even though it is not busy
We had a group of eight, but the wait staff took care of us with no problem. Food was very tasty and flavorful.
Great views and food was really good too. Calamari was delicious! Our reservation was for 7:15 which enable us to see the sunset and the city at night!
A beautiful, quiet area of the river walk - ambience outstanding! However, all items were overpriced and the food - we had salads and pizza - was good but not something to rave about.
Meals were served quick and fresh. The staff is very friendly and makes you feel like you are dining in more of a family establishment. Zocca would certainly be recommended for a nice sit down dinner in San Antonio.
We were celebrating our daughter’s national dance championship. Had a wonderful meal with wonderful service. We didn’t realize the restaurant was in a hotel, but that’s ok. The food was amazing and we will probably stay at the hotel the next time we visit, as they had a full gluten free menu selection, breakfast, lunch & dinner for my oldest daughter.
Our server, Jason, was excellent. Awesome personality and we never had empty glasses. We really enjoyed our experience & he made it awesome by bringing out a special dessert plate for our daughter.
A little hard to get to, with no signage outside on street from the Westin, but once inside charming locale. Outdoor seating suffers from lots of flies and no deterrents, and the pasta was decent, but nothing excellent. Overall good service and good experience.
We had a fantastic meal at Zocca on Sunday, June 16th. Every person in our party of 9 was happy with the entire experience. Alyssa, our waitress, was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make our business meal memorable.
Excellent food and staff desert was decadent sat inside because of the heat but able to watch the boats go by highly recommendable
My husband got a pizza, which was excellent (the crust was what I would consider slightly unique, with a very good taste), and I got a pasta dish with crab. It was good. Fresh and I say again... "good". Just nothing to write home about. But I'm something of a foodie, so a bit hard to please. I enjoyed the location, as it was quieter, being a bit out of the hubbub of the most crowded Riverwalk area, but still easily walkable and still a very pretty area/view.
We had the Spaghetti and meatballs and Fettuccine. Food was was excellent and the service was wonderful as well. The head chef Jessica visited our table and was very pleasant. The ambience is very relaxing with a beautiful view of the riverwalk.
1. We ordered the 2 pizzas. One came cold.
2. I ordered a glass of wine, and it came in a small wine glass. It was definitely the type of wine that should’ve been in a large wine glass to open up, so clearly no one at the bar knows about wine and wine glasses. So I changed to a Paloma....
3. My Paloma has a peanut- like aftertaste, which does t make sense. It’s a tequila drink with grapefruit.
However I’ll say we had a very nice waiter and the chocolate cake was great. Also the Seasonal Veggie pizza was outstanding. The naked Pizza is not so great, even after it was warmed up.
I don’t know if there was a bad bartender or a chef asleep at the stove, but the place shows potential. However maybe as a hotel restaurant it’s apathetic and losing its poise? Either way I don’t recommend it and I am probably not going back.
Almost walked out, took so long to get our food
Was our first time at Zocca. My husband and I really enjoyed it and will definitely be back. Jason, our server was outstanding!
The server was very attentive. I found the sauce with the spaghetti to be on the thick and sweet side. Not my preference.
We had reservations for 8 o'clock and got there early. They were able to accommodate us which was nice. We sat outside on the Riverwalk and loved it. The whole experience was awesome. My daughter enjoyed the fact that the ducks were not shy and came right up to the table. Our waiter, Jason, was awesome. Very personable and prompt. The food was delicious and worth every dime. Highly recommend.
Sat outside and had a wonderful dinner. Prices are a little high, but worth it.
Orlando was a great waiter, very friendly and attentive. Food was delicious and even made a vegan meal for my girlfriend which was amazing.
Great food and service. I will eat here again when visiting San Antonio
We were at the Westin hotel for a conference and had limited time for lunch. We were seated at a table and were not even acknowledged for 30 min. Every server or restaurant staff we tried to order drinks or food from passed us off to someone else. The actual server for our table came to our table 2 times- to take an order and drop off food which we had to box up because the lunch hour was over. The food was average at best.
Good food and service. Location is great off a quieter stretch of the riverwalk. Our experience was less than desired due to unruly, screaming kids with inattentive parents. Would have liked staff to do something out of consideration of there many other guests.
Since the restaurant is situated at one end of the Riverwalk, and the tables out of the pathway, we enjoyed the quietness of the evening. Two ducks kept us company. Overall, great food, service and atmosphere. We finished the night with a boat ride right around the corner.
We went to dinner at Zocca to celebrate our anniversary and a 50th birthday. We were a little bummed that we couldn't eat outside, but I think that was because there was a chance of rain. At any rate, our server, Orlando, was the best! He had champagne for us upon our arrival and was the consummate professional throughout our entire evening. The food was delicious and the service was top quality. We would definitely eat here again and recommend it to others, especially when celebrating a big event! Thanks for a memorable experience!
