Great Service but I wish they would have acknowledged my guests birthday. Everything else was wonderful.
The food was DELISH. The service was outstanding. We were a party of 8, so 4 kids (8 to 12yrs old) and 4 adults. I wasn't sure how loud our party was going to be but it was all manageable. Did I say the food was Delicious?!
A beautiful experience while on vacation -- before the heat of the storm hit with COVID-19 in Minnesota. Thank you for letting us forget our worries and enjoy a wonderful dinner with your gorgeous outdoor seating, considerate wait staff, and incredible food. Best wishes with all that you are contending with around this uncharted global experience. -The Blochs from MN
Setting was very nice along the Riverwalk. The soup and salad were very good but the pizza was poor. Crust flavorless, sauce watery and too sweet. Waiter was inattentive, asked for refills but never received.
We were a party of seven. Zocca was a genial place to have a reunion of old friends. The food was quite good, though the portions were too hearty to finish after ordering an appetizer and dessert was out of the question.
Great location and service, the food was good but not enough to justify the cost.
The staff at Zocca did a great job accommodating us and explaining specials! Service was spot on!
I would recommend Zocca for a date night or special occasion.
I went here for my girlfriend and I’s anniversary. It was outstanding. The server was really nice, the dessert we got for our anniversary was amazing especially with the special wording on it. This place is fabulous and I wish I could go back everyday
Great staff. Amazing food!
The fettuccini sauce was a little undercooked, but the server was awesome.
Great modern Italian place with excellent sauces
Great food, nice waiter, nice atmosphere. Terribly long wait.
My husband and I were so excited to try this place for our 1 year anniversary. Even though the waiter, Orlando was very nice and polite, the service was terrible. We sat there for 45 minutes to not even get bread. We had to tell three different people and when telling Melissa about waiting, she said, "right away" and 10 minutes later, we finally received bread. If we wouldn't have ordered drinks, we would've left. When we did order drinks, that alone took 15 minutes. My husband asked for a vegetarian menu, that took 15 minutes. I asked for a gluten free menu 3 times and still had not received the menu. My husband actually got up, went to look for a menu, and then returned. Upon my reservation, I specifically stated this one our year anniversary, I was gluten intolerant, and my husband was vegetarian. None of these accommodations were met in a timely fashion and one of them was not met at all. We arrived at 6:58pm and did not leave until 9:13pm. We were so excited to try this place and celebrating our 1 year anniversary. Our excitement quickly turned to bitter disappointment. We will never eat nor refer any of our friends/family to Zocca. Hopefully, there will not be any other experiences like ours from other guests.
Excellent alternative to the noisy and crowded tourist traps on the north side of the river walk. Great positioning to the river, but separate from the walkway so we weren’t being crowded by walkers. We had the restaurant week Fixe Prix menus and the servings were generous and of very good quality. The wine selection by the glass was good with large pours.
Mediocre food at best. This restaurant has been known to do better during San Antonio culinaria. We will not be wasting our money here again!
This was our first visit to Zocca. We love authenitic Itailian food and had a great dining experience. Dennis and his team were attentive and comfortably energetic. We will be dining at Zocca soon, bringing friends to share good wine & great food with.
Service was nice. Food was ok. Prices were a little high for what it is.
Understaffed or just poor service. Waited for our drinks, waited an extended period for H2O, waited for appetizers, meal, etc...rarely saw our waiter, dinner took over 2 hrs and we only had apps and a meal, we boxed our desserts to go bc we had a child in our party and we couldn’t have a 3 hr meal. Our Reservations were for 6pm and we left at 8:30pm. Very disappointing.
The food was nothing special very small portions I had to filet mignon it was expensive and I believe it’s restaurant week and we weren’t even offered that menu. No I wouldn’t suggest it to anyone
Great gluten free menu options and the restaurant is beautiful.
Friendly staff. Food looked and tasted amazing. Clean restaurant.
We all loved Zocca. Their breakfast buffet brunch was a perfect way to start the New Year. The omelets at the omelets station were delicious, the fresh juices were fantastic and the service was perfect. Would recommend to anyone who visits San Antonio.
Our servers have been amazing the many times we have been in there and the bar this week. The hostesses needs some help or training or something. She has been the only problem to otherwise perfect evenings.
One entree was served cold, then reheated after we complained. We had to ask for remuneration, it wasn’t offered by the staff. The other entrees were so/so at best.
We had had lunch here a while ago dogs were also in the dining room....the food was fair lobster bisque was OK but lacked full flavor; my calamari misto was not good; chewy & limp....not a value for the money spent.
I was expecting a more elegant decor than what we found we arrived but the service and the food made up for it. I had the spaghetti and the meatball was out of this world. My wife had the bolognese and I noticed the instant it was delivered to the table that it was going to be too 'sauce heavy' for her and it was. She said the taste was "okay" in that she couldn't really taste the flavor of the pasta. For evening dining, the lighting was definitely way too bright and I asked the waiter to dim the lights a bit and he obliged. It definitely improved the ambience. All-in-all, a decent dining experience but not at the scale I would expect from a restaurant located inside of a Westin hotel.
Excelente la comida, muy recomendable.El precio es alto pero vale la pena y está junto al River Walk
Promptly seated for our reservation on Christmas Eve! Superior service and great food. We will return.
It’s a hotel restaurant!
Service was good!
There was a large party that made it an unpleasant experience. The noise level was very high to the point we could barely carry on a conversation. Also, the kitchen could not keep up we the order volume, because we had to wait a very long time for our meal.
While the waiter did the best he could, the food took an extensive amount of time. The restaurant was not busy at all for it to take as long as it did. Price of food and value of food were not equivalent.
Beautiful waterside dining. Staff was excellent. Food was very good, only perhaps a little pricey for what it was, but the view and ambiance made up for it.
We really enjoyed our dinner at the patio tables right on the Riverwalk! The ambiance can’t be beat. The food and service were excellent too!
Food was better than expected! Ate here twice, had a pasta dish and their chicken piccata. Pasta was excellent, chicken dish was lighter than expected, very tasty. Both meals, the waiter and manager came back to table to ask how I was enjoying meal. Very attentive service!
Unfortunately,we went here during Rock and Roll marathon weekend. We had reservations yet had to wait about 30 minutes to be seated. There wasn’t enough servers so service was slow and inconsistent. People around us were provided bread, but not us.
The food quality was average. If I knew this was a hotel restaurant, I wouldn’t have booked this restaurant even we were staying at this hotel.
The restaurant was plain and drab, typical of a hotel restaurant.
Forgot the special instruction/accommodation planned for the evening.
I sent my parents to Zocca for their 50th wedding anniversary. We are not from Texas so I organized everything via email with the manager. They were so willing to help me out, my parents loved their dinner, and Zocca surprised them with a beautiful dessert to help them celebrate their anniversary. Absolutely wonderful restaurant and staff!!
A beautiful restaurant with a lovely outdoor seating area just feet away from the river. A perfect setting that I was delighted to find for a romantic dinner to proceed my marriage proposal to the love of my life. Delicious food as well, their lamb chops were somehow more delicious to taste than their excellent presentation already suggested. The staff were all of excellent as well, being very knowledgeable about their menu, courteous to a fault, and very attentive to our specific allergy concerns. 11/10 highly recommend.
My boyfriend and I decided to come here because most of the other restaurants had a very long wait. We made a reservation online and requested outdoor seating and that’s exactly what we got! We decided to share a pizza and a pasta dish. The server even separated the pasta for us. The food was hot and tasteful. Amazing food. Amazing view. Awesome service!
Very nice location and good food.
