The St Jacques a la Chou Chou as a starter was the best scallop dish we’ve had in a decade. The Wednesday only French Shepard Pie, Carrot and Potato Mousseline was better than any beef stew I’ve ever had, bar none. The reduction had an amazing depth of flavor for a simple dish of beef smothered in gratinéed potato purée. Le steak was perfect, edge to edge medium rare. I’d take a week of Wednesdays for the whole meal again.

I have dined here several times, but this occasion was for my anniversary. The waiter was very attentive and thoughtful and the staff gave us a great experience with a special desert at the end of the meal and a personalized card congratulating us on the special occasion.

I took a friend here for his birthday, and we both had an exceptional experience. I told the hostess that we were celebrating his birthday and we each got two free mint lemonades and an additional free dip that we weren’t expecting. All of the waiters were very attentive. Although we were assigned one, everyone made sure we had what we needed if they were in the area. The food was spectacular. The flavors were complex, and the textures were impressive. No two dishes tasted the same, but they were all delicious. Also, the amount of food that you get for the price definitely justifies it. We will definitely be returning and recommending to our friends.

We arrived on time for our reservation and were seated immediately in a pretty side room with lots of light and lower noise. The place was jumping, but service didn’t suffer. Our waiter was Jay I hope. I wanted to remember it because he did a fine job. We started with wine and fried oysters. Sublime! I had the luncheon special blackened redfish over risotto. It was perfect—crisp outside and very moist inside. My friend had fried chicken with a watermelon and feta salad. She wished she could pick it up in her fingers and finish it off! All oortions are generous. Presentation is pretty. Some noise reduction measures in the ceiling would add to the experience. It was hard to have a conversation. We’ll be back for “Happy Hour and dinner!
