About
The service ALWAYS lets the Bromley branch down.
They are stern, never warm and always make you feel like you’re a real burden as a paying customer.
Zizzi Beckenham is an entire different experience and worth travelling the extra miles for!
Avoid Bromley if you can, or get take out.
Food wasn’t great, but the service was friendly. Used our Taste Card which made it great value for money. Wouldn’t have been happy to pay full price though.
Is always a good experience to have lunch/dinner at Zizi! Amazing food, friendly staffs and great ambiance!
It is definitely our local restaurant!
Not bad but the pizza I ordered was barely hot
The food is great value for money with the Tastecard, but the service is a little sketchy and inconsistent every time I come.
Over familiar waiters are not what you expect in a restaurant and when asking for a vegan menu, he looked disgusted and said "Eugh, you're not vegan are you?!!!"!!!!!!! The food was lovely and the other waitress was great but it did spoil the occasion somewhat.
Pleasant chain eatery but with nicely cooked foods. There are six in Widmore Road/East Street but this is by far the busiest for a good reason. Decent food so is worth track in down.
Very enjoyable Saturday experience. The restaurant was quite quiet, possibly due to the poor weather and time in the month. IMO a slightly more exciting menu to the other chain Italians.
Very pleasant evening all the better for very good service
Poor service and poor quality food
Every time I have eaten here, I have been impressed by the food and the service but the noise levels let it down.
I don't know if it's because it is popular or maybe it's the acoustics but my friends and I struggled to hear each other.
Despite the restaurant having no knowledge of our booking via OpenTable they still managed to fit us in. We used the O2 code to get 2 free glasses of prosecco and a bowl of olives which was nice and brought over without any hassle.
Service was very good. We did not have to wait long for either course. Food was tasty but the pizzas did not have the usual amount of topping so there was a lot of surplus dough. The carbonara was swimming in oil.
Pleasant surroundings-modern and contemporary-good location. Excellent service- cheerful and attentive. Extensive menu-delicious calamari, great pizza.
Food was amazing very taste and the service was great as usual
My friend and I shared the cheese fondue and a platter to start with - and wished we'd ordered the same for a main course and dessert! The main courses were really good, but that fondue is to die for!!
When we arrived they didn't have any record of our reservation on open table and said another group had the same issue but they made space for us anyway. Halfway through the meal they asked us to move tables and gave us a bottle of prosecco for our inconvenience which was appreciated. Our waitress was lovely and very efficient despite being absolutely rushed off her feet. We are regular diners here and the food is always good.
I've never had a bad meal at Zizzis and there is something for everything.. it's not posh but it is very pleasant and the staff are amazing. friendly and will go the extra mile if you have children.
Good menu and wine list.
A very pleasant evening that does not break the bank
As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by a stern "yes" and on giving my booking details we were then told they had no booking but were shown to a table without another word said.
Rude start, food was quite alright but it's been an off putting experience. Maybe a one off?
Never had this problem at a family owned Italian restaurant so I'll stick to the one in my area which is excellent.
consistent in what they offer and for the value for money.
reasonable price, good food and really friendly staff.
Had a lovely evening. Nice rustica pizza and a classic diavola. Tasted great but looked a bit thrown together. Good service. Attentive but not overly so. We will be back.
Our nearest Zizzi is Croydon which has been awful on every occasion we've been but we do like the Beckenham branch of this chain. However being Easter Monday there were no tables available so we travelled the extra few miles to Bromley. Different layout but still unmistakably Zizzis. Restaurant was nearly empty and we were the last to leave (at around 9pm). The waitress was brilliant - attentive but not over bearing and very aware that we had been waiting too long for our food. She apologised for the chef who was clearly having a bad day and when it finally arrived all was well. So overall, good value food, nice varied menu, five star waitress (Tanya) but two star kitchen. I hope that she didn't have to share the tip!
Excellent venue for a girlie catch up
Plenty of food choices, good selection of easy to drink wines
Bright and airy, lot's of space and the staff are lovely.
Good Value for money and they don't rush you out the door.
Food was top notch as always. Ambience good and buzzy. What stood out was the service and particularly the attention the waiter gave yo my little niece, she loved him. Great lunch.
Staff here are excellent and service is quick and efficient. They make a lot of fuss over kids which really helps.
Food standard is excellent also.
good for a chain restaurant, always consistent and good service.
Second time of going to this particular Zizzi. Interior has a lovely feel about it. Staff attentive and friendly. Food very good value for money as we had a 25% off voucher. Would recommend.
I booked a table via Toptable and received an email confirmation but when we arrived the restaurant did not have any notification of my booking. We were seated quickly as luckily the restaurant was not very busy. My food was disappointing as it was very bland and unexciting even if the pizza was a skinny choice. The experience was ok for the price.
Service and food were fine, we were going to the theatre but the noise from children was a bit much, one howled for several minutes before the parents did anything.
Could you have one side for families and get some sound deadening for those of us that would like to speak to our friends over our meal? I would find somewhere quieter for a meal out.
Food was quite nice, the calamari in particular but main course wasn't amazing. The service was friendly but chaotic! They messed up our order so only 2 of us got our starter and despite asking several times, the rest of the group's starters didn't arrive, until they served the main courses as well!! There was no offer to take it off the bill either. They didn't bring the right cutlery, didn't take away the dish for the first starter until the end of the meal and messed up the bill. We also had to wait for our table despite booking in advance. All in all not a successful meal, wouldn't go back!
Had a great evening meal with a very good friend and her daughter. Great choice of menu at a very reasonable price. All ways round, a very pleasant way to spend an evening.
Consistently good pizza. Cannot resist the rustica. Crispy perfection well loaded with quality ingredients. Service with a smile as always too!
Pretty good for a chain. The food is always good and they're very accommodating.
This was a first date with someone who had been to this chain before. On arrival I knew that I had made a mistake and offered to take my date to another place but she was quite happy to stay there. We agreed that the food was very average. Our waiter had a sense of humour which helped. I don't intend on going back there. That said, it would be an ok place to go to with your mates or with children if you have them.
Good ambience, with a bright, airy design that makes it a pleasure to eat here. The food was very well prepared, with a good balance of vegetarian and non vegetarian option. Good range of wines too.
Staff very friendly, seated very quickly.
Zizzi in Bromley was great. The staff were particularly good. The rustica pizza was lovely. HOWEVER although I'd told Toptable in advance that I would be redeeming 2 diner's (loyalty points) cheques, when it came to pay Zizzi refused to accept them. Toptable says that you can use cheques in any restaurant booked through Toptable but that seems not to be true. I was then late arriving at the theatre and my husband was in a bad mood all night because of the embarassment of everyone staring at us as we tried to sort out the bill at Zizzi. I wrote to Toptable the next day and still haven't heard a thing from them.
