   The food and service is excellent. I just wish they could do something about the acoustics in there. A few sound panels in the exposed ceiling would do wonders.

   Having grown up in Brooklyn with a plethora of great Italian neighborhood restaurants It’s hard to meet those expectations. We had the stuffed eggplant based on recommendations from diners reviews. I found to be a much heavier dish than it needs to be because they bread the eggplant before they fry it which in my opinion, is unnecessary. We also had the chicken piccata and sadly, lemon overwhelmed the dish and there was no hint of wine that could be detected. The dish was served with a side of pasta and the addition of seasoned breadcrumbs was nice texturally but it needed more garlic and black pepper. We started our meal with calamari, which was very tender and was accompanied by a very nice marinara sauce. The staff was very friendly, the portion sizes are large and clearly a value as you are likely to leave with sufficient food for another meal. One of the dishes that was somewhat disappointing was linguine with clam sauce (white). This was the only time I’ve ever had this dish where fresh clams in their shells was not how the dish was served but chopped clams (likely canned) were served instead. Overall, a decent meal at a price point significantly lower than some of the more fine dining Italian establishments in the area and easy enough to enjoy when you’re hungry and in the mood for Italian food in a casual setting.

   Great food and service. The lasagna dish is exceptional and the caprice salad is the best in town. Highly recommended!

   Food always delicious. Always. Service engaging and personable. Staff is great! We go to Zia Marie’s almost every Friday to celebrate the end of a work week. We love it.
