I love Zeppole... we were introduced to it by the bartender who is a friend of ours and we were NOT disappointed! The appetizers are AWESOME... honestly, my wife and I go for the experience, the wine, and the appetizers. We get so full that we rarely get an entree!
Staff was amazing, setting was very enjoyable, made it easy for me to order gluten free since I am gluten intolerant and overall great experience!!
I was a bit disappointed as I made reservations in advance for my friend's birthday dinner. We were put in the bar which was noisy and not at all the atmosphere I expected. I even specified on the reservation that it was for a special occasion. There were other tables available so not sure why they would think it was ok to sit us in the bar area.
Great Food. Friendly Service. We loved it. Be sure to reserve your table.
Service was great! I had the lasagna and it was delicious. My husband had the lobster mac and cheese and that was great too. We also really enjoyed the ambiance. It was our 10th anniversary and they brought us a dessert on the house to celebrate. We had a wonderful time!
The service Lexi provided was beyond amazing.
The restaurant is chic. The service was great. The food was terrible. From the bread all the way through. They even managed to do buttered noodles for my kid poorly. Now, I will say the martini was good, but not good enough to forget that meal…. Way overpriced for the quality of ingredients and cuisine. Sorry.
Very good food. Loved the calamari appetizer. We loved the sangria as well.
It was our 38th anniversary. Our server Ty was absolutely the best. He made our visit even that much better. The food was incredible. We had the spaghetti and meatballs. Pasta and the meatballs were perfect. Almost as good as moms but pretty close. The surprising part was that we are ambassador with Marriott and Ty brought out the tower of cheese and veggies. Again thank you to Ty for making our special night even that much more special. Hats off to Zeppole.
Visited on Labor Day weekend and it was very busy at the Gaylord Texan. Ambience was enjoyable. Service was slower then compared to one of the other hotel restaurants (Old Hickory Steakhouse). Bread did not come with olive oil or butter as the other tables had. Did not care for the lasagna as it seemed like just meat and cheese. Husband had the carbonara pasta which he liked but the poached egg yolk was not runny as he expected. Spumoni gelato was very good.
This was a lovely birthday special occasion for our family!
Ty was an outstanding waiter and the food was great, especially the caesar salad.
We are looking forward to dining there again!
The experience was great, the scenery was nice and quiet definitely not for kids, I loved the layout and the decorations, it wasn’t full of people, and the staff was amazing and very nice and helpful, the value for money just didn’t meet our standards, the pasta was undercooked the bread had no flavor, and they serve glasses of room temp water with no ice, the food was worse than an Olive Garden and if it weren’t for our server that was so sweet we would’ve left. Scratch the whole menu and start over !
Great service and wonderful food. Prices were a little high, but nothing we weren’t expecting since it’s on property at Gaylord Texan.
Overall, excellent experience!
Not happy with my experience at Zeppole. Used Open Table for Sunday, 7PM reservations, arrived on time and the house was dead. Told the young man sporting the “man bun,” that we wanted to have a cocktail at the bar, if it were not a problem. He assured me it would be no problem, so that we did. About five minutes later, he came to the bar and said our table was ready and asked if we wanted to transfer our tab and drinks to the table. I told the young man that we really wanted to finish our cocktail at the bar before being seated and he replied it would not be a problem.
It wasn’t 10 minutes later, the same young man came to the female bartender who approached us and stated we needed to take our drinks to the table. At this point I am really irritated and I asked her why were we being rushed on such a slow night. She specifically stated that the “house rules” were only 15 tables could be seated per hour due to the small size of the kitchen, “That’s why there is always a line.” I have never heard of such a thing in my life, a limit on seating per hour as opposed to seatings based on occupancy/vacancy. I can assure you there wasn’t 15 people, let alone tables seated the entire time we were there. So I approached the young man who was standing a few feet away and asked, “Why are you rushing us? I asked you twice if we could simply have a cocktail at the bar before dinner and you told me it wasn’t a problem but you come up twice in 10 minutes trying to get us to a table and the bartender just told us,per you, we had to be seated.” His reply was, “I didn’t tell her that, there is no problem.”
We take our seats and THEN the truth comes out. Our server immediately starts asking, not once, but twice for our food order. I’m fed up, I ask, “What is all this rushing us?” She tells us she wants to go home early to help someone move. This is unacceptable!! She left and we were given another server and assistant, they were fabulous. The food blew, we won’t return.
Delicious food and fantastic service. My only complaint would be that the kids menu says drinks are included, but we were charged for them still. When I asked about it she said the managers require them to charge for all soft drinks. So they either need to change their policy and follow what their own menu says, or redo the menu to not include drinks.
We had the absolute BEST experience, Trina the front of house manager was so welcoming and made the experience outstanding before we even sat. Hostess Hannah, made sure we had the best table in the restaurant to make sure we had outstanding views for the best dining experience. And don't even get me started on the food....OH MY GOODNESS! the first night we had the pasta primipara, chicken marsala, and the calamari. Second evening we started off with the Cesar Salad, Fagioli Sou, Margarita Pizza, and the Filet Mignon...and also decided to try three of the deserts as well...all the dishes were creatively unique with pops of flavors that were unexpected, and so much appreciated! Hats off to the Chef. All the dishes were incredible, the size of the dishes were just right, and the waitresses we had both evenings always made sure we had everything we needed before we ever had to ask and kept us informed if something was going to take a bit longer than expected. We will definitely be back this winter for the Christmas experience, and cant wait to dine again at Zeppole.
Happy Customers, Whitney & Edward
Absolutely amazing Filet AND Chicken Parmigiana atop Fettuccine Alfredo.
Chocolate Mousse was silky and not too rich. Overall an amazing dinner!
Very accommodating for our group of 30. We divided into 3 tables and all sat around the same time.
We were at the Gaylord for our daughter’s 7th birthday. She picked Italian food for her birthday dinner on Saturday evening. We have three kids 4, 7, and 11. We made reservations at 5:30 so we would could be in and out and not disturb anyone trying to have a romantic dinner. Our server Lexi was super nice and attentive. The appetizers were great! The entrees were mediocre. The desserts and we order every single one were pretty good. The tiramisu was my favorite, my husband and older daughter liked the strawberry gelato, it is like a small baked Alaska. Our family enjoyed the meal and it was convenient because we had activities planned at the Gaylord the entire day so we could stay on property. The food is way overpriced for what you get, but I feel like wherever you go in the Gaylord everything is overpriced for what you get.
Absolutely fantastic. Not only was the food Incredible but they treated us so well even with our toddler. Will definitely come back next time we stay here.
The waitress was very nice, but was slow to come to the table after we were seated. The food took longer to come out than Anticipated. I had the lobster Mac and cheese. The noodles were hard, but the menu did not say they were al dente. I loved the touch of lemon in the Mac and cheese. We were slow to receive the check after we asked for it.
We had a great time. Server was awesome. Food was phenomenal and good value for the portion size. Best tiramisu I've ever had. Highly recommend.
The food was outstanding with a great varied menu. Our Server Alexis was outstanding. She went out of her way to provide us excellent service. We were celebrating our 55th wedding anniversary.
The food and the atmosphere is very nice. The service, while not bad was not up to the standards for a restaurant like this. We ordered a bottle of wine, a 2016 -- when it was served to us we noticed it was a 2018, when we questioned this the reply was "this is a newer one, it is probably better!"
Great restaurant during a staycation at the Gaylord. Timber was our hostess and she was great. Dealt with my wife and I, our two rowdy kids, and newborn baby wonderfully. Going back again tonight.
This restaurant was AMAZING. I would definitely go back in a heartbeat. I think about this pasta constantly since then. We got the antipasto cage, which was also 10/10! We also got wine, and the bread and olive oil with vinegar. I got the Ragu with Bolognese and it was DIVINE!
The atmosphere was romantic. The service was great! We celebrated our anniversary and was happy to do it at this restaurant.
Fantastic food and cocktails. Excellent service
I am very glad that we chose Zeppole for our anniversary dinner. I am glad that we went later in the evening as the sun went down and you can see the lights better. There aren't very many choices, but the choices you do have are great! The service is fantastic and all the servers were kind and helpful.
This was not a great experience. Atmosphere felt a little like a food court. Lobster Mac and cheese was over cooked. Pricing high considering food quality and atmosphere. Service was friendly.
Excellent service and delicious food. I highly recommend.
Great place to eat, don’t even need to be staying at the hotel to get me there. Portions are just right, but might seem pricey, but it’s a hotel.
Food was good, service a tad slow but friendly. Good choice if staying at the Gaylord.
Great service great steak great old fashioned
Food was mediocre at best. Just expected more from the reviews seen previously. Ambiance was nice at first but as more guests arrived, became very loud. Staff were exceptional from hostess al the way to waiters and helpers.
Cesar salad was drowned by dressing that had a sweet taste (almost bottled). Pasta with meatballs. Loved the meatballs. Pasta was dry. Love aldente pasta but this was undercooked. I know this is a lot of detail but you can’t improve if you don’t know the problem areas
We celebrated our wedding anniversary there. Best place! The atmosphere was perfect. Our server was knowledgeable, polite…came to the table at just the right times. The food was excellent and the portions were generous! We loved everything!!
This was a very good first experience, and for an anniversary! All staff was friendly and attentive. The food was very tasty, and good portions, enough for take-home! Both desserts, chocolate mousse and tiramisu, were awesome as well!
Thanks for great experience!
Frito Misto was out of this world! Great service!
We were on vacation with our family
