The highest quality Texas prime beef is the main focus at The Y.O. Ranch Steakhouse but its legendary for its extensive wild game selection, and many of those same animals roam freely over our 48,000 acre ranch and namesake near Kerrville, Texas. For those in the mood to try something out of the ordinary, The Y.O. offers venison, elk, wild boar, game birds, and our signature dish, the Buffalo Filet Mignon. Most of the beef at The Y.O. is local Texas Black Angus beef and hand cut in house. We employ a method very similar to the one the ranch hands have been using for more than 125 years.

Y.O. Ranch Steakhouse is proud to announce that we are now offering catering services through Cohost in 2019! Cohost is a catering service that partners up with other restaurants in the Dallas area. They provide the actual catering services that include dishes, silverware, servers and bartenders. Essentially, whatever a customer needs for their event, Cohost can provide within reason. Where does your favorite downtown steakhouse come in? Essentially, we provide the food, partner up with them, and allow you to enjoy the best steak in Dallas. When guests want to inquire about catering, they can visit their website and search based on category or cuisine. From there, customers can focus on their budget and be directed in the right direction of what restaurant will be the best fit for their gathering. Once you’ve picked our restaurant, we then receive the order form with the date, time and number of people for the event, and ensure that the food is ready.

I’ve been to this wonderful restaurant several times over the past couple years. They never disappoint at any level. The menu is vast and impressive. The decor inside is great. It definitely makes you feel comfortable but also gets you in mood for what’s to come, a fantastic meal experience.

Marcos was absolutely amazing. He did such a great job going over the menu as well as providing recommendations. He went over all our questions but the food was absolutely phenomenal! 100% Recommended as a date or get together place or a spot to try game meant. It’s also not a loud ambiance which is perfect for conversations.

This was our 2nd time to go to YO. We liked the quick seating and Art was our waiter. We had the soul belly and oyster appetizer. Wedge salad and corn soup. Steaks with family sides. The bone marrow butter is worth the extra. The steaks were cooked perfectly. The asparagus was yummy and so were the fries. The Mac and cheese lacked flavor. The mule and YO margarita were good.

In town for event, accommodated 8 guests at 6:15pm on Saturday, 24 hour reservation. Very happy with experience. The server was outstanding, menu exceeded expectations. We enjoyed multiple appetizers and variety of steaks, Buffalo filet to Nilgi, salmon and oysters. It was worth the spend.

This is my favorite restaurant in all of Dallas. If you’re looking for an authentic experience with high quality exotic meats, this is the place to eat. My personal favorite is the Elk as the main dish and I recommend the Venison Roll ups and Smoke Antelope for appetizers.

waiter was very a plane guy kindly enough but no enthusiasm ordered food and ordered it Medium Well came out to wally fats and wad raw really raw both plated Elk came out in 2 mini pcs bad value for 60 bucks veggies were cold very cold to touch they took em back and basicly smashed them with an Iron so they came back tough and over cooked manager came over in yhe beginning to affirm the return but did nothing to help... it was a wierd experiment going there wont be back and wont recomend it for a texas steak house i was disappointed better steaks at outback

Amazing first experience! We went on valentines and it was super cute atmosphere all decorated for Valentine’s Day which made it special. The food and steak was phenomenal! The Mules are also a must! Such a great experience! I will be back!!

Wife's filet was perfect. My ribeye was tough. If everything else had not been so great I would have sent my steak back. Collard greens and cheese grits were both awesome. Overall it was a nice, relaxing dinner. Parking right next door is convenient as well because I don't like to valet park.

We recently moved to Texas from Nevada and have been overwhelmed by the food options available here in the DFW area. We took a chance on our date night after reading a bunch of reviews, and are pleased to say that this was the best steak either of us have ever had. No negative feedback whatsoever. Y.O.
