   Valentines dinner so we expected it to be crowded and slow. Reservation was at 7 and we sat at 7:10. No big deal at all. Ambience was nice and server was nice. We order drinks and app at 7:30ish. Ordered dinner about 745ish. Appetizer came out about 8:10. Empanadas were good and so was my clam chowder. Dinner didn’t come out until 9:40! I understand It’s Valentine’s Day and all but 2 hours for food is crazy. Also....it didn’t have very much taste at all. Very disappointed.

   First of all, our sincere apologies for a night that didn’t meet your expectations. The fact of the matter is, OT sent us 20 reservations after 5 pm without notifying us. This meant that these reservations were not on our reservation sheet causing a back-up in the system. OT has informed me that they are not in the business of compensation for the mistake. That being the case we would like to make it up to you. Please contact me as soon as possible.

   Management was very unprofessional, overworking their employees in the kitchen and the wait staff. Food and drinks were delicious, our waitress was amazing, but clearly stressed by how overworked she was. Very disheartening to see. Maybe don't go on a busy night like Valentine's day.

   I have been to Yamanja Brasil several times and have always enjoyed a positive experience....until my Valentine's Day 2/14 visit. In a nutshell, the restaurant could not handle the volume of a Valentine's Day Friday. From the moment my wife and I sat down, to the moment we left was 3 hours of mostly waiting. We were able to get drink orders in quickly along with an appetizer of Mussels, which were delicious. The app and drinks were delivered promptly. We then ordered main course and a bottle of wine. The wine came, but 2 hours later, we were still waiting on main courses. I found the owner and asked how much longer we would have to wait and she said soon, then by way of explanation, mentioned that their small kitchen could not keep up with the volume. I can understand that wait times may be longer for special holiday service, but I would like service staff to communication the delay. There was really no other acknowledgement that we sat for two hours before entrees arrived. And when the entrees were dropped, the kitchen/server had brought me the wrong dish. I then had to wait an additional 5 minutes for correct dish. Again, nothing but a 'sorry about that' comment. If the manager/owner would have made a gesture in acknowledgement of our super long wait, I would have given this visit another star. Anything would have worked....complimentary wine, appetizer, discount on meal of any kind. Instead, nothing but thank you for coming in. I believe this was a tough night for the restaurant and I'll definitely come back again. However, you might want to avoid a special night such as Valentine's Day.

   We had an amazing experience here on New Year's! Not only was the food delicious (hello empanadas!), the service and attentiveness was stellar. The owner was friendly and spoke with us frequently and even sent a couple of desserts to our table on the house. I highly recommend this establishment- it will be in my top recommendations for out of town guests and a frequent visit for us!!

   We went to celebrate a birthday. Yemanja never fails to surprise us with wonderful food choices. We get something different each time. The wait staff is top notch, the owners treat you like family and we just want to keep going back. Love Yemanja!
