My husband and I decided to try WG upon the recommendation of several people we met while vacationing in HHI. Were were anticipating a fabulous meal and experience based on what everyone said. Our servers and the service staff were amazing- friendly and accommodating. We shared a delicious bottle of wine and enjoyed our appetizer (crab cake) and salad. For our entrees my husband chose the Delmonico ribeye and I decided to try the Lamb special. The lamb was grossly overcooked and tasted more like liver than lamb. My husbands steak was flavorless and something we would expect to receive at a cheap steakhouse chain restaurant. My husband said something to our server about my lamb, upon which she took my plate back to show her manager, I think. She came back and offered us dessert “on the house”. We declined, because quite frankly we just didn’t want to eat anything more there at that point. Never did a manager or chef or anyone come out to apologize or offer do do anything else for us. We absolutely will not go back. Honestly, we should have known because at around 7pm the restaurant wasn’t even half full. Maybe word has already spread about the level of their food.

Wife order a stake that was not able to cut. Had to wait for a more expensive steak to be cooked. We were all done eating by the time it arrived. Our friends we came with seemed disappointed in the service.

We have been twice in the last week. We always go for early bird specials. Such a great value. The bread is absolutely the best bread ever!! The WG salad is crazy good! The chopped salad is good also. We ordered filet and shrimp the first night. The second visit, I ordered meat loaf. I normally would never order meat loaf but there was something about the pictures that intrigued me. I was not disappointed! The meat had an amazing texture. You could just feel that it was quality. And the taste was soooo good. The gravy on top had such a rich flavor. For dessert we shared Chocolate Pot De Cream. It was so light and refreshing. Delightful meal!

We had made reservations and were seated quickly. Unfortunately that was the only quick thing of the evening. After 30 minutes we got our drinks. After 2 hours we received our entrees. Our sides were flavorful but lukewarm. The steaks were fine but under seasoned. While our waiter was kind, he rarely checked on us or apologized for the delay. Our sides were not what we ordered but we didn’t mention as we didn’t wish for further delay. Had our service been better, I might would have rated the experience higher.

So delicious! I had the crab filet! Service amazing ! Dinner with soup salad bread! Ended with a gluten free chocolate cake with ice cream! Little dark in restaurant but really enjoyed it!!ty

All good things must come to an end. Chocolate fondue is no longer on the menu, even though it’s still shown on their website menu. Such a shame. It was a highlight and their signature dessert. Our server was new, but still: water glasses not refilled…. I had to ask for a steak knife (at a steakhouse)…. no offer for a 2nd glass of wine. All in all, a disappointing meal at a place we used to absolutely love.
