About
Offerings include a wide variety of Italian DOC and DOCG wines as well as signature cocktails. The menu is influenced by classic Italian simplicity, and the eye catching Italian style brick oven will bake Neapolitan style pizzas to perfection. Additional menu items include fresh salads, appetizers, homemade pastas, and more.
We really liked the place, our food, and felt very fortunate to stop in on the LAST night they are open for business. Our entrees were excellent and the Italian Lemon Cream Cake was amazing! Too bad they have now closed.
We will miss Winflo
Overall, this was a good experience...server started out very attentive, and as the place for busier, he got harder and harder to find. Food was very good...amazing flavors and well executed. It was our first trip here, and sad to hear it will be our last since they are closing tomorrow for good.
Hostess was so unpleasant that I’m writing a review on OpenTable about it. When customers come to spend money that expect the restaurant to be ready for the customers and the hostess to not be so negative that your guests you invited make note of it. I probably will avoid this place unless nothing else is available.
Although we had a reservation, we had to wait over 30 minutes for a table. And then they ran out one of the dishes we wanted (which we would have been able to get if we had been sat on time). Food was pretty good, but because of the terrible service to begin it put a negative stamp on the entire experience. I would not recommend.
We were impressed with our first trip to Winflo. The menu had something for everyone:
vegetarian, paleo meat enthusiasts and kids (pizza!) The happy hour offerings added to this dinner for five to make it a great value. Anthony was a very friendly and attentive waiter. We're looking forward to coming back in the summer with our dog, since the outdoor patio is dog friendly!
Not a bad item on the menu. Meatballs are best in town. Plenty unique dishes but more times than not I get the incredibly priced Rib Eye and whatever it's paired with.
We prefer to eat at the bar but table service is always good, too. Bar manager Amber is an attentive server and knows the menu front and back.
I'm sharing this because Winflo truly deserves the praise, but hope it doesn't raise the likelihood I'll have to compete for a seat at the bar with any of the likes of you.
Delicious pasta and wine. Great atmosphere, indoor and outdoor.
The atmosphere was good. We order the kale salad which was delicious. We also order a mushroom pizza. It was good, just not the best I have ever had.
Had my in laws in town and wanted to take them to brunch. Me and my wife had never tried Winflo before but always wanted to because we had heard amazing things. They did not disappoint. It was even more amazing that the great reviews we had been told by friends. Victoria was amazing and took perfect care of us and had the best recommendations. We will for sure be back many more times!
Saturday night dinner that would have been perfect if there hadn't been a table of 16 for a Bachelorette celebrating an upcoming wedding. They were really loud. The staff did their best but the noise level went way up pretty regularly. Wine list was priced well. Cocktails were good. The Prosciutto Pizza was the best of the 3 entrees. The chocolate cake dessert was decadent. I'd like to try sitting outside next time.
They were out of 3 entrees, which I would likely have ordered. Instead the pork belly sounded great, but was actually horrible. The clam pizza was not good. The mussel appetizer was really great, but 1 out of 4 means you should pass this one by.
Food was extremely bland!
Birthday party. Wonderful experience!
We've been going to Winflo for years but this time things were off. The waitress neglected to tell us that there were items on the menu that were not being sold and that happened to be my wife and my first two options. So, four different items off limits was a pretty big bummer. Also didn't quite get how not having NY Strip or cream were the limiting factors at 730PM with a Whole Foods less than a mile away. Would have been nice to get a heads up and would have been really nice for them to offer to pick up at least one of the meals being that our first four choices were off the menu. Not headed back any time soon. Sorry.
It was great for the price!
Birthday lunch - love Winflo
I arrived a few minutes before our reservation, and the hostess showed me a table for 2 next to the front door. As it was 45 degrees outside, the thought of the door opening and closing repeatedly did not appeal to me. I asked if we could have a different table, but the hostess said no, everything else was reserved. I looked around and noticed the restaurant was empty except for two other occupied tables. A man came up and tried to make suggestions as to where else she could seat us, but the hostess shot down his attempts. She did offer for us to sit at the bar, I declined. And left. If the restaurant had been full and we were trying to squeeze in a quick bite, I would have sat where ever. But it was a special occasion, it was freezing outside, and the place was empty!! Will not be going back.
The place was super cute. Loved the cozy ambiance and its charm. But the service wasn’t great. I don’t know if that is the way they normally staff the restaurant on weekends or if they were short some servers but we found ourselves having to track our server down for a couple of things throughout the night.
Delicious dinner. Nice quaint ambiance. Great waitress!
Great atmosphere, good wine selection, fantastic patio
Had a great time service and food was great!! Will definitely be back again!
Brunch at noon on a beautiful Sunday and only two other customers were there. Confused why that is, because it was great!!
Not sure if the chef changed. I felt like the food was not good at all. I’ve been eating at this restaurant for many years. Was very disappointed.
Had reservations for 2 at 7p on a Sat night and were immediately seated upon arrival. A party of two in front of us were turned away due to no reservations. Restaurant is a small house with period updating, very cozy but limited number of tables. Our 2 top table was adjacent to the bar which put standing people at the bar very close - a little too much.
Food was excellent (two pasta dishes), wine selection is all Italian - white not so good (Pinot Grigio and Chardonnay), red decent to good (Chianti and Mendocito).
Staff was excellent but overwhelmed - a little too long between table visits.
On balance, fun little hidden spot on West 6th Street, we would go again. Nice outside patio during good weather but too cold on our visit. Reservations at least on weekend nighst are a must, at least for eating inside.
WOW! I cant say enough amazing things about this place. It was our first time here and we made it for happy hour and by gosh is there happy hour amazing. We got their Mista plate and bruschetta and it was out of this world. But the main event was the scallop carbonara, seriously it was the best carbonara I have ever had, and I am from Philly where people live on carbonara.
I will most definitely be back!
Burrrata cheese appetizer had no flavor. Ordered seafood special and only seafood in the dish was shrimp. It was cold. Hostess and waiter just going thru motions and clearly wanted to leave. Bummer bc it was NYE and was hoping for a great experience.
Birthday and New Year’s Eve.
Portions and food were good as was the coffee and mimosa. Cute interior, though a little chilly. It was a cold day and they had just opened. Plenty of outdoor seating for nicer days.
waiter never got order correct. table was by the front door and was constantly banging as people walked in. over all a very bad experience. Previous dinners had been very good.
Winflo has a friendly neighborhood vibe, an interesting and diverse menu, friendly and courteous staff. Great place for a relaxing meal and is within walking distance so it is very convenient.
Excellent in every respect, as always! Even the valet guy!
Winflo is intimate, cozy, and a great bang for your buck. Solid drinks, fantastic (and simple) menu, and a fantastic atmosphere.
My experience there was wonderful. The waiter was exceptional and even the host was welcoming and warm. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was very inviting.
We had our daughters & fam from out of town. Winflo was a great choice!
We had a 7:15pm reservation and arrived at 7:05. We were seated fairly promptly but then it went downhill from there. We sat for 15 minutes without any acknowledgement from the waiter who went to two other tables that were seated after we were. Very poor service! When we got up to leave, we just got a blank face from the guy at the hostess stand.
I reserved at least a month in advance or more for the office annual holiday staff dinner. I received a confirmation and reminder the day before. Once our team arrived we were told we would be seated outside instead of inside. Our reservations were for inside, and stated so on our reservation sheet I printed. The reservation clearly stated online reservations would have seating inside, for outside seating to call. When there the gentleman who greeted us told us a party had reserved the whole inside. Would have been nice to have been informed prior to arrival. It was chilly outside, had to ask staff to turn on a heater which went out at least once. Disappointing experience for a first time visit for most of the team.
Had a great time with my new GF and her best friend. With that, the service was pretty lousy. Everything else was great.
Sometimes can be very slow, but not this night, it was perfect. The food was incredible!
Our server was super sweet and the food was amazing.
