My boyfriend and I had a wonderful Valentine’s Dinner here. The location is beautiful. Right in the harbor. Excellent views. Our service was wonderful. Our waitress, Jazmin, was very nice and attentive. We had the nachos as an appetizer, they are so large and delicious. The Mai Tais were incredible. We have visited their sister location on the Big Island of Hawaii numerous times and these Mai Tais are almost exactly how they serve them there. The dark rum pour on top was extremely generous, just as it should be. We look forward to dining at Wind & Sea again.
It was just ok, service was good .
We hadn’t been there in a while, due to Covid.
It was a special night out and my fish was not good. I had Ono and it did not taste like Ono, very tough and overcooked.
Oysters were good.
The restaurant was OK except for the food. It came overcooked and cold. I should have sent it back but was skeptical of what they would bring next.
The food was pretty good , clam chowder was amazing , the drinks were absolutely terrible , and the server wasn’t welcoming at all or even seem to be a bit nice she just seemed annoyed to be working, the environment was pretty though since it’s on the dock
Had Valentine’s dinner here on Sunday. Very busy but we seated by our reservation time. Service was very good and food also tasty. The location is great with harbor view. If you want the sunset view you will need indoor seating. Will definitely go again.
It was good food and nice patio area with great service. Except for some reason I got there 10min early for my reservation and they seated a couple who was late for their spot. Then 2 other couples that we’re there said they had reservations for same time we did. Anyway they need to pay attention on scheduling.
Valentines Day
We had a confirmed indoor reservation for 4 at 2:30 pm on 2/14/21. We were not seated until about 3:35 pm. Once we were finally seated, food and service was fine.
We had reservations for valentines day and was seated immediately. Service was good and our food came out quickly.
Great ambience. Service was good. Outside seating was very uncomfortable. It was very cold. It would’ve been nice if they had some heaters.
They are open despite Covid precautions, but only a few people allowed inside. Wonderful view! Sea lion, dolphins, paddle boarders, kayaks and boats. Beautiful!
Beautiful sunsets, excellent view of the harbor. If you don't mind mediocre food and no service it works out well.
What a beautiful sunset and the best New Year's Eve dinner ever (even though it was 2020). Thank you for a lovely experience, surf and turf was amazing! :)
New Year’s Eve celebration with family ! Excellent views , kind hostess and phenomenal server ! Had a great sunset experience
Good food with a great view and exceptional service.
Love Wind & Sea. Went with another couple, good friends. They were both excited to order the prime rib. Unfortunately they both felt it was underwhelming. Otherwise the overall experience was excellent as usual.
Christmas dinner
Great ambience and warm friendly service. The entre we ate was excellent .
Wonderful experience! Great service, friendly staff, and excellent food. Not to mention the amazing view.
We were seated early, our waitress could not have been more professional and friendly... the food was great, all in all we were very pleased!
Had Thanksgiving dinner there are service was wonderful for a waitress was super sweet and attentive it was slightly over priced but you can’t beat the view and I was happy to pay for it
It was so good to come back to one of my all-time favorite e restaurants. The server was very positive and efficient. The view was awesome. So happy to you y are back and open to the public.
Retirement Party
All good. Nothing further meds to be said
Wind N Sea did a fabulous separation of customer tables so we felt secure and private. Our waitress was great- polite and efficient. She wore a mask for safety. Our fish and chips was one of the best we’ve ever eaten.
So happy to eat out again!!!
Wind and Sea is a Dana Point tradition. On the water which is always nice. The service was great but the food has taken a bit of hit over the past few years. I hope they can get the food up to a better level. We will give them another try...keeping my eye on the reviews to give me an indication that it's time to try them again.
We loved this place. We sat right by the windows, watched the sun set, and saw some amazing boats. The kids even saw sea lions come out to play. Food was excellent, our waitress was great.
We have met our out of town friends here for years, always during the week when it is not crowded, quiet, and a totally relaxing experience. Sunday late morning is a totally different vibe. More people, more noise, but still good service and good food. Love this place.
Used to be good but that's no longer the case. Food seems ill-prepared and the service is not good. New owners? Staff seems ill-informed and not interested in giving good service. We won't go there again.
Our service and server were excellent. Would highly recommend this restaurant.
We enjoyed our experience. We love the burgers and fries!
Great location and view of harbor but restaurant felt a little rundown. Family friendly... casual beach feel. It’s was ok but I will probably not go back.
Nice breakfast buffet, lots of options. Great omelets made to order.
Its a fun place on a saturday night. They had live music which was really nice
Restaurant is in the Dana Point Harbor so the few was beautiful. Server was friendly and efficient at taking our orders. Food came out quickly but is was terrible. Shrimp was way overcooked and rice pilaf had no flavor. The rolls weren't even good. Ordered a second drink & it tasted like gasoline. Went to bartender & he wasn't very nice about it but made me another which was just as bad. The only good thing that night was the entertainment. It was also very expensive for dinner I could not eat. Sorry to say but I won't be going back there again.
Great food, Great Views, Just a very nice experience overall.
Never was seated at a table was forgotten about at the bar. Luckily the bar staff were the best and you could order food there highly recommend other than that
The food was absolutely horrible. We were so disappointed considering this was Valentine’s Day. My wife ordered mahi and I ordered salmon. Both fish were dry, bland, and rubbery. My mashed potatoes seemed old, very dry. The only positives were the mai tai’s, which were good. I suggest you promote the bartender and fire the cook.
My husband & I ate dinner here for Valentine’s Day. I chose Wind & Sea for the nostalgia. My grandparents used to live nearby and I remember eating here as a child in the 70s/80s. The food and service were excellent. We shared the artichoke appetizer. I had the scallops dinner and my husband had the top sirloin. Both meals were delicious. The mango sorbet was tasty too. We’ll definitely be back!!
