The Wind & Sea Restaurant is located on the water in the Dana Point Harbor. With water on three sides, every table has a spectacular view.
We serve fresh fish selections daily as well as Alaskan King Crab Legs, lobster tail, shrimp, steaks, pasta, and vegetarian dishes.

Monday through Friday (not available Holidays and Special occasions) we have Hawaiian Happy Hour from 4:00 to 7:00 featuring our world famous Mai Tai's as well as draft beer, wine and food specials. Live entertainment on Friday and Saturday, as well as plasma and big screen TV's, keep the lounge exciting at all times.

The waterfront open-air patio serves the full menu and is heated at night, perfect for an order of nachos and a margarita or a full dinner under the stars. Private banquet facilities accommodate 20 to 100.

The service is terrible, we had a reservation at 9pm and they did not let us in. They were closed for an event. We were left at 9pm meaning it was terribly hard to find another open restaurant at that time. We ended up not eating at all. I did not expect such a bad treatment, I mean why would you give reservations that you cannot seat? *Tip: if you are planning to come here make sure you have a back up reservation or at least another option in mind.

The location is beautiful and we were able to get a table right away. The server was tentative and friendly. Maybe a little too friendly with my date. The food looked good but lacked in flavor. Everything was bland and not worth the price.

Good dining and good staff. Clever how they say they don't reserve window tables, but say come early and you might get one. Once there and there were window tables available, we were told, "Oh, we reserve them for parties of 5 or more, just not less than 5. Except for the table across from us at the window seating 2 people! Been eating there periodically for 6 years. Never heard this before and often sat at window tablers with 2 or 4 people. Never an issue, till now. New management? New rules? Oh, yes, ...got there in time for happy hour. Then told that is only for patrons in the bar area. Probably in small print somewhere. My bad.

I will never go back to this place again. I have been going to this place for at least 30 years. The hostess and waitress were very rude. The food was average but lately much more expensive. I don’t need to pay a lot of money for rude service. I ‘m done with this place. There are much better establishments to go to in this area where the customer is treated with respect.

Please stay open! :). Fantastic views, food and service. Jeff, our waiter, did a great job. Many memories at Wind and Sea. Glad to have made one more. And plan to do so again soon!

Food was mediocre.. no quality olive oil . Salmon was not memorable. Vegan dish was extremely bland with sad wilted vegetable . Would not ever again spend 100 $ on such a lackluster food quality . Great staff , great ambience. Sad

The view was terrific. Saw lots of boats leaving the marina. The service was great. Our server always had a smile on her face and was very helpful. Our food was excellent and we were both pleased.

Terrible! No idea why this place has a 4.5 star rating. Most of the food looked like it was supermarket bought/frozen and thrown together. Definitely would not recommend this place.

Loved the location and vibe. The food was very average. We were unlucky with our server, not friendly and didn’t even check on us. He had an indifferent rushed attitude. Next time, will choose another restaurant in the area.

We were on the dog patio with our pup. Our server was great. The clam chowder in the bread bowl is excellent. I enjoy their veggie burger. The fish and chips were also first rate. The view was fab! It did get super busy around 1230. We got there at 11:30 -overall a great experience. Be advised they do not give your dog a bowl with water, but if you have your own dog bowl, they will fill it up or ask for a cup with ice to give him a little bites of ice in the heat! The umbrellas kept it pretty shaded!

Let me start by saying our server was good. She definitely needed help especially getting the food out from the kitchen. The fish was fresh and my scallops were the best meal of the bunch. But the other three fish dishes were cold, especially my wife’s dinner. We didn’t want to send back and wait another 30 minutes. But the kitchen staff get an “F” grade. They can’t leave food under the lamp and they need to learn how to time all the meals so they’re hot. The restaurant was not crowded so that can’t be it. While the gave us free desert they should’ve taken my wife’s cold fish dinner off the bill. Replace the kitchen staff and we’d come back

Location is excellent next to the harbor with views of boats. Server was friendly and attentive. Last visited around 18 months ago and recall the food quality as being better. I assume that in order to maintain pricing something has to give a little. We may go back but it’s likely going to be a while. The Nachos served with the toppings on the side as a do it yourself were excellent and were the highlight of the meal. The fish and chips was pretty good but the fish was a little greasy.

Fantastic food! Setting is very nice too, right on the ocean. We were there on a cloudy/rainy day so couldn't sit outside, but inside is fine too with full walls of windows. Our party thought the market price of the oysters was over the top, but the other prices were reasonable for this type of restaurant.

Nice Harbor views and the staff were very attentive. I ordered the grilled shrimp with rice pilaf and vegetables. The shrimp was over cooked. My husband ordered fish and chips and enjoyed it.
