Willi's Wine Bar
The spinach salad is the best salad ever made. The Brussel sprouts and the filet sliders are also wonderful.
The food was absolutely AMAZING. I will be back for lunch and more dinners. Pricey but so yummy
Bought 1/2 bottle of wine, got about 1/3 bottle in a carafe. Potstickers were cold inside. Noise level was not conducive to conversation.
This was my first visit to the new Willi’s after the fires that destroyed the original. The room is large and there is a patio, as there was in the original location. I had reserved so was surprised to be seated in a small space blocked in by a potted plant and the chair of an adjoining diner. It ended up being cozy and quiet. Our server was outstanding. The menu has been positively updated and my companion and I were happily surprised. I noticed that Willi’s is now partnering with Journeyman to present the highest quality of charcuterie available.
This new incarnation will be a new “go to” for me!
Excellent food and service. Noise pretty bad. Recommend the installation of acoustical measures.
This was the best meal I have had in years. Everything was perfect. Those Moroccan lamb chops were super. Everyone at the table agreed it was one of their best meals in along while.
We'll be back!
Excellent food. Interesting choices.
First time in this new location. Beautifully renovated restaurant, but quite noisy. Food was wonderful. We tried filet mignon sliders, lamb, warm spinach salad, and creme brûlée- all delicious and enough for the two of us to share. The wine list is rather overwhelming, so we had difficulty selecting the bottle we wanted, though the server brought us samples to taste until we found the right one. Definitely worth a visit or more.
every course was great- we really enjoyed our meal
Very noisy. Food was just okay.
We found the dishes that we had to have to much salt and butter flavor. That still didn't stop us from eating everything.
Have been to the new location once before and to the prior location many times. The food was the best ever. The room is nice and there was a really nice energy in the restaurant. Not inexpensive.
Great food, great service but be prepared for a pretty high noise level. I asked for the quietest table possible and many that option wasn't available but the table we had was pretty noisy. i
First off, the main room is extremely noisy with all its hard surfaces, no tablecloths, etc. This is off-putting and the new space lacks the warmth and charm of the old location. But my main complaint is that we felt rushed. All 4 of us ordered a glass of wine which came immediately and then the waitress took our orders. I think 2 or 3 of the small plates came out within 5-10 minutes. We asked a server to slow the service down but were told he had no control of that. The food is good but very pricy. I would recommend the Moroccan lamb chops which were fantastic! However, I most likely won't be returning soon.
Great food, wine selection and service. Top choice for dining in the Santa Rosa area.
Great server, great menu, all dishes were excellent. This was my first time visiting the new location, and I will definitely be back.
We love the food at Willi's as well as the service. The noise level is a bit too high for us, difficult to have conversations with a group
The food is outstanding and the service is always great at Willi's. Willi's Wine Bar lives up to its name with a wide range of choices.
Everything was just as we would expect...Wonderful.
Willi’s provides interesting and innovative takes on a variety of cuisines. The atmosphere is both upscale and comfortable. The noise level inside can be a distraction if you are trying to converse in a group. It ends up being a little spendy for lunch, but the quality of the food and service make the experience worth the price.
First time at the new location! Food amazing as before, with great wine selection to go with it
I loved our server Hannah and the food was mostly excellent. Only complaint is the bone marrow I ordered to go had no meat on it. I spent $17 for literally just bones. I didn’t know till I got home, so there was not way to correct it. Other than that, I LOVE this place.
We were greeted and seated quickly. Server came and introduced herself right away and let us know that she would be right back to help us. Food was very good, with the exception of the ribs. It’s fun trying bites from all over the board. Nice atmosphere and great energy at their new location.
Returned to Willi's for the first time since the fire in 2017. The original location was one of my absolute favorites and they did not disappoint at the new location. Everything was expertly crafted and I couldn't have asked for better service. Highly recommend this place!
Very disappointing. Noise at such levels that we couldn't speak to each other. Food sub par -- we ordered a cheese plate and one of the three cheeses on it was just a cheese rind (?). Brick chicken was tough and tasteless. Service was rushed and brusque. This was our second time going since it reopened. The first time it was great and seemed reenergized and on point, but this time was awful, and we won't be back.
While missing the unique charm of the original Will’s WIine Bar we found the food and service at the new location to be first rate. Everything was fresh and perfectly prepared and as expected the combinations were rich in flavor and beautifully presented. It will again be our go to spot in Santa Rosa
Took my mother and daughter for lunch, was so looking forward to it because loved the “old” Willi’s. Service was amazing, place is lovely... but almost everything we had was way too rich! We didn’t even finish 2 of the 5 small plates we ordered, because so rich... Barely touched the mac and cheese, took the bacon off of the bacon-chives crepes, and even a straight veggie plate was drowning in a butter sauce. May go back, but will order only 2-3 plates for 3, and will ask for the “cleanest” ones or to very much decrease any sauces. Disappointed.
It was wonderful.
This was our second visit to the new location Willi's, we liked it the first time very much and looked forward to returning. We went with the same friends we went with the first time, this was our annual Xmas dinner with them. The room was a bit noisy which is an issue for our friend that is hard of hearing but he managed, he did ask that the hostess turn the music and she did, very much appreciated. The service was very good, prompt with being intrusive. The problem we had was the food, just not as good as it was the first visit. The dumplings had to be returned for too much salt, my duck/polenta dish was on the verge of being too salty, the Tunisian carrots were much larger than the first visit and consequently didn't have the North African flavors I looked forward to. The fritto misto of delicato squash was very good, as was the mu shu bacon, the spinach salad and especially the pudding cake. We'll be back but the kitchen needs to step up their game to what it previously was.
Nice options for wine flights. The cheese course has some really nice choices. We liked the Mac & cheese, the lamb chops and the Meyer lemon pudding cake.
I had a Wonderful time at Willi's, it is my Favorite Restaurant in Sonoma Count! Jason was So Hospitable and Gracious to me and my Friend and the Food was Spectacular!!
We've been big fans of Willi's in Healdsburg for years so had to try the new Willi's in Santa Rosa. It is tucked in a quiet neighbor which adds to its charm. They offer a lovely range of tapas and a huge, huge wine by the glass selection. We love the mix and match of small plates and we have never been disappointed. The atmosphere on a cold winters evening was warm, cosy and charming, but there were even brave souls out on the patio (with heaters)! The Starks have put together a great local chain since we also really live Monti's in Montgomery Village.
Good neighborhood food
Willis food is outstanding! We have been there 3 times and every time we have consistently had great food! I wish we had gotten the name of our server as he was so attentive and informative. We are not crazy about their Chardonnay choices on their menu (which is our drink of choice), so this last time we brought a bottle of Chardonnay and everything was perfect! Highly recommend this restaurant.
Not as cozy as the old house but still a fun spot. interesting, well prepared small plate selections. Could expand their flight tastings a little.
Great menu selections, wine list very good. Flights very interesting. Wine flights make it great way to try wines we normally would not look for. So far all of the restaurants in your portfolio have been excellent. Looking forward to Grossman’s
Love the redo of our old favorite restaurant. Our food, service and experience was excellent. We will return often.
Our server Brittney was pretty awesome. She helped pick out some great wines by the glass to try, and I'm a winemaker. Great food all the way around. Willi's is really a no-brainer.
Food was fabulous, as always. Noise level too high at lunch, could hardly hear anyone. Filet sliders the best, as well as no flour chocolate cake!
Food and service were great but the noise level was terrible. They should put a divider along the alcove of the main room to put large parties in....unfortunately it seems large parties always have people who feel it is okay to yell and scream! The main room could also use some sound deadening ceiling panels to absorb some noise....in the mean time bring your earplugs!
