Tapas / Small Plates
A San Francisco Chronicle Bay Area Top 100 Restaurant for four years, Willi’s Wine Bar’s captures the casual, laid-back nature of Sonoma County Wine Country. Tourists and locals feel equally at home enjoying a quick bite or lingering over a glass of wine. The menu at Willi’s features international small plates, some wildly inventive and others comfortingly familiar. Staff is eager to help create perfect pairings with wines from the extensive wine list, many by local producers. Most wines are available in two-ounce tastes as well as by the glass or bottle.

Food was ok. We may have ordered the wrong things. We got curried crab tacos, cheese plate, arugula and endive salad, and roasted carrots. I love that they offer wine flights. The noise level was off the chain. Probably not a good place to take a date if you're trying to get to know them because you won't be able to hear them. I am definitely going to try this place again and order different things.

Thoughtful creations on the menu, well carried-out Wait staff was attentive, while not overbearing.
Noise level in much the restaurant is high, less so at our table in the rear of the house..

Always love a visit to Willi’s! Most always start with garlic truffle fries...Shared a number of small plates including yummy Moracan Lamb last visit. Prefer outside patio but someone accidentally hit the security button on vehicle parked right next to us, interrupting what was otherwise a wonderful time.

Super great lunch, and great wine. So happy they're back after the fire that destroyed their restaurant. It's as good as ever. We had the grilled shrimp, bruschetta with avocado and burrata, awesome pea and ham mac & cheese, pinot noir from Black Kite.

Creative menu, but something was missing with the WOW factor that I remember in the previous location.
I loved the scallop wonton, but thought they should have been warmer than room temp. The mushroom soup shooter was ok, but the grilled cheese had an off taste which the server said may be the truffle cheese. Pretty sure it wasn't. I love Willi's and am so happy that they are back, but I thought my dinner at bird and the bottle the night before was better.

It was OK. We were right next to the kitchen and all we could here was clanging of plates. Eventually, we asked to be moved.I thought it was very expensive$230 for 3 with one corkage and 3 glasses of white wine. This was for lunch.

Three of us went to lunch at the new restaurant and we all loved the six dishes that we ordered. The lamb chops and the duck with polenta were our favorites. The service was not as good as the food. We had to keep trying to catch a server's eye to request more water or a drink refill. The servers were all rushing around like mad but they never looked around to see if anyone needed anything. Someone finally asked us if we needed anything toward the end of the meal. We will all definitely return as the food is awesome.

We are big fans of the Stark's eateries; but the noise in this location was way too loud to have a meaningful conversation. Need to fix that.

We went with friends to check out the new spot. The new restaurant is beautiful and so spacious, compared to their old space. The menu is familiar and everything we tasted was really delicious. Before dinner we ordered three different wine flights. The chardonnay flight had a wine that the nose was REALLY skunky...hard to drink. The bubbly flight had a rose' that was on the edge of corked, and the Lambrusco was bad. The Rhone flight was the only one that was ok. Really for a wine bar, ALL the wines should be great. That was a HUGE disappointment.

The service was friendly and quick, not overbearing. The dishes we ordered were very delicious.

Better than ever! I miss where the old Willis was but this new location is great - larger, nice outside eating, great bar. It is rather loud inside at dinner time, hard of hearing may have a difficult time. But the food...oh my!!

The waitress was attentive without being intrusive. She was knowledgeable about the menu. The bus staff was attentive and we enjoyed their timely service. Since this was our first time at this location and with this menu, we ordered several plates to share.

Try it!

Willi’s is back in a new and quieter location, rebuilt since the fire, and is once again serving outstanding small plates and interesting wines in an indoor/ outdoor venue. Almost all the old favorites are back, plus some new dishes.
We will once again be stopping here twice a month on our way to and from northern California.
This time we shared lobster gnocchi, truffle fries, BBQ duck polenta, and the famous warm spinach salad. Will be back this weekend for bone marrow and flavorful fish tacos. A Sonoma county gem.

Found the venue clean and fresh. Although my napkin was stained when I opened it for use. Waited too long for order to be taken and a couple of dishes were lukewarm, i.e. scallops & lamb (which should never happen). Overall we had a nice experience, understanding there are kinks to work out at the new location, and will definitely give it another try.

I went to the new location for the first time last weekend. The new location is a lot roomier than the old one. I shared 3 delicious dishes with my friend. We had the spinach salad, filet mignon sliders and a gnocchi dish. Each dish was fabulous. We had the Meyer lemon cake for dessert and it was moist and very flavorful. I can’t wait to go back!

Wonderful food. Service started slow but improved. It did get loud but only real issue was my wife getting bonked on the head by an outdoor screen that was left unsecured in the breeze. Indoors next time.

So glad WWB is back!
By far my fave meal & experience since we moved back to Sonoma County this past January!
With exception of one dish (flavors perfect but over cooked) each dish was a treasure.
And the oppty to do wine flights enabled the two of us to try 6 wines with our 5 small plates.
The lamb chops are not to be missed
And, by the way, our server, Emilio, graciously accepted our feedback on the one dish and removed it from our bill. Doing the right thing. Thank you, WWB! We are telling our friends and will be back!

So glad they are back! And within walking distance for us is a plus! The service was amazing. Favorite dish for me was the bone marrow, followed closely by the scallop dumplings, potstickers, and shrimp! I had a lovely Spumoni sundae with a candle on top to finish my birthday dinner. We will be back!

Went for lunch with a friend and waiter advised us that all small plates were meant to be shared for two. Everything on the menu looked delicious - so many choices. Our waiter helped us with decision making and everything we choose was wonderful. The banana chocolate bread pudding was exceptional and we almost wanted to lick the bowl! Can't wait to go back again and try everything on the menu.
