Wild Ginger Downtown Seattle
The food at Wild Ginger spans the Pacific Rim from China to Indonesia. We pride ourselves on offering traditional dishes from these distinctive regions and insist on house-made ingredients. Chefs make spicy chili sambals, fresh coconut milk, delicate egg noodles, and our pungent oyster sauce all from scratch. To achieve the sublime flavors of the East, there is no substitute for the time-honored customs of these rich and ancient cultures.

Good times
Our server was very nice but everyone else was surly and abrupt. The food was good but not what I remember from when we were regulars. Running the gauntlet of homeless people makes it less than desirable.
Great food as always. Despite a smaller turnout for a Saturday night than you would normally see due to current events going on in King County and elsewhere around the country, the restaurant provided delicious food made from fresh ingredients.
My wife ad I had a wonderful pre-symphony concert dinner. Food was excellent -- especially liked the Fragrant Duck which we had as an appetizer. Excellent Service!
Great experience and a stellar space for a work dinner meeting.
Food was delicious. Our server was very helpful and engaging as we made our food selections. Will definitely return.
Very enjoyable experience. Great food, friendly wait staff. All in all great experience.
The food and service is always good here. My personal favorite on the menu is the duck, I can’t go to Wild Ginger for dinner without ordering it. It is always cooked to perfection!
We got a good table by the window looking out at Benaroya Hall; our waiter was excellent ; the food was delicious and plentiful. We were happy campers.
When in Seattle, always the go-to restaurant!
Wild Ginger has been one of my favorite restaurants for as long as I can remember. Also, It's right across from Benaroya Hall, so when I go to the symphony or other events, I almost always eat at Wild Ginger first. I can't recommend it highly enough.
Excellent dinner and yummy cocktails!
Downside was noise level.
Good service.
Excellent service, tasty variety of foods and great wine choices.
We are ready for our next visit with family and friends
Too noisy. It took 30 minutes to get our drinks, but in their favor they gave us complimentary desserts. Three of the dinners were good, but the Pad Thai was disappointing. Prefer the larger noodles. Too many other good restaurants to choose from. Wild Ginger has become too large.
Very good soup. Tasty and perfect for the time of the day.
I have eaten at Wild Ginger for years and each experience has been memorable for all the best reasons. Unfortunately, not so today. We came for a later lunch so many tables were well into their meals.
Our servers were acceptable but I had to ask a bus boy for a refill of tea- the servers timing for check the table was off.
We had to ask for clean plates for our meal after satay.
The understudy server was the one to notice and immediately apologized and replaced them, not her server instructor.
The entrees in the past have been beautiful to behold - plated so nicely and always hot. today it was dry cold brown rice in a bowl and expensive scallops plopped on a plate, also cold, with no garnish that was my entree.
This is not their standard I have come to know and appreciate...
We've been loyal fans since Wild Ginger opened on Western - food & fun never disappoints! Best duck in town.
Very crowded with concert goers when we first got there but they handled it perfect
The staff was a bit slow with orders as was the bringing of food.
Disappointing. Poor service. Long waits between dishes and cold food brought out. Overcooked, rubbery duck. Not the Wild Ginger we knew and loved
A bit pricey...although you can count on great, consistent food from one time to the next.
Made reservations over a month ago. Was put in the corner upstairs with my guest before the Brandi Carlie concert Sunday evening. Server as helpful as could be but the tables are very crammed together only two servers . We were first in at 5:00 and we had to ask for the check and take out boxes as other guest already had their checks and were leaving. We shouldn’t have had to be crammed in the corner and ignored because not enough room to get around the tables and serve properly.
I love this restaurant. It has been a favorite for many years. The food is incredible, the drinks are lovely and the staff is attentive. I would highly recommend this restaurant to all.
I haven't been to Wild Ginger for a long time and it was not nearly as good as it was in the past. It was amazing in the past and this trip was very ordinary. Priced as though it was still excellent but it wasn't. We were greatly disappointed.
Lovely setting, great food, nice wait-staff, but I felt like I has to yell to be heard the entire meal which was exhausting/unpleasant.
Service was a little slow with a Brandi Carlile concert about to start but otherwise our food was very nice.
We arrived for our 6:00pm reservation at 6:03pm. We didn't get our food delivered to our table until 7:40. Our second round of drinks were completely forgotten about. We missed the opening act to the show we were going to see. I will never go to Wild Ginger prior to an event at Benaroya Hall in the future.
Sharing 7 different plates with six people was delicious and fun. Everything was fresh, prepared flavorfully and presented with care. We loved our experience.
Everything was excellent. Great service. Delicious drinks and food that was out of this world! Everything we ordered was superb! What a wonderful experience!
Sommelier was very helpful and friendly. Nice experience.
The service was terrible. I know it was a busy night but they should of been more prepared in my opinion. Our server forgot our drinks, the food was good but the server then said she would bring our drinks free of charge. Finally got them....then we waited and waited for the check. We finally went to the bar to ask for our check and the drinks were on the check. By that time I just wanted to leave and not ask for the drinks to be taken off. Very disappointing experience.
The duck appetizers are the best but all the food is good.
Our dinner was good. Our drinks got lost and did not arrive until we had our appetizer and had to track them down.
It seemed they were understaffed wth inexperienced servers. The service took away from a good meal and ambience. We might try another Restaurant next time.
Always excellent! Wild Ginger is our go-to downtown restaurant.
Short ribs and Lamb skewers were very good. Green beans were excellent. The green curry gave both of us knots in our stomach later on. And, the scallops were very disappointing. They were not plump and firm. They were tough and had shrunk up. Ate them but they were not at all your best. I should of sent them back. Server was awesome.
I am in town for work and this place was close to my hotel so I wanted to give it a try. I went on a Sunday night so it wasn't too crowded so I was seated right away. It took a bit longer for my server to come up but he then apologized for the delay. After glancing at the menu I decided on the lamb chops along with a spicy mango soda. I will say the spicy mango soda did have some kick to it do to the Thai chilis that were placed into the drink. My lamb was brought out and not only did it look good it tasted even better. The sauce that came out was simply amazing and I really wished there was more of the dish. It was a fantastic meal with great pricing and friendly service. I would certainly go back again.
Service was a little off. Initially tried to seat us at a table overlooking the homeless hangout when there were plenty other tables available. Asked and was resat. Service was off, slow, just a little odd. Sunday at 5pm and not packed so I expected better. The food was delicious as usual.
Great experience and excellent service.
The food was just not good. We had lettuce cups, satay and sea bass entree. Will not be returning
Absolutely a fabulous time. Great place to go prior to a show or for a special occasion.
