About this restaurant

  • Neighborhood gem
  • Innovative
  • Romantic
French influences on this decidedly American fare make for an interesting and creative menu. Small plates and aged steak with award- winning BBQ ribs are just "the tip of the knife," on a menu that changes seasonally, in order to bring the freshest ingredients offered from our local farmers and ranchers.

We serve more than dinner. Our award - winning business lunch and "best in St. Louis weekend brunch" give you another reason to enjoy the efforts of our highly skilled chefs Leon Crues and Andre Grosz.

You can expect excellent service, without feeling stuffy, in the warm and inviting main dining room of this 100+ year old building. The exposed brick walls and tin ceilings add to the charm of this restaurant & bar.

We offer another great feature, people watching, on the most beautiful streetside patio in the Central West End.

We were really disappointed in our meal. Had a group of 8. Plenty of open tables on a Saturday night which we thought was weird. Cocktails and salads were good. Main courses were bland, unimaginative and my husband's $50 ribeye was one of the worst cuts of meat he's every eaten. Sent most of it back. We are not complainers ever, but he said something to the manager who took it off our bill. Location and ambiance are really great but they need to do a major food overhaul and maybe get a new chef. Disappointing.

The restaurant was offering buffet service only, with no menu option. I was not informed of this when making the reservation or before being seated. I asked two employees what the buffet cost was; neither knew the answer. The buffet was picked over, with several dishes either empty or nearly empty. Drinks were not refilled despite waitstaff having no food to run due to the buffet arrangement. Extremely disappointing experience.

I was at the restaurant for Easter Sunday. I had been to a Sunday brunch before and really enjoyed the food. On this date, a buffet was offered for $38.00 a person. I did not find the food to be as good as what I had experienced before. I am not a fan of buffets and when I made the reservation it was not noted for the date so I was expecting the regular menu. Overall, I like the restaurant, just not this particular meal!

Delicious food. Fresh local unique. Always quality. Never had a negative experience. Have gone for casual dinner and date/anniversary. Had son's rehearsal dinner there: excellent. Easter brunch delicious and were seated at time of reservation.

Easter brunch was a disappointment. The buffet was very limited. There was fruit, a couple of egg dishes, two kinds of potatoes, some pasteries, bacon, salad and salmon mouse. There were also cookies or cake, but never made it there. The service was slow. I think they did not have enough servers, so not blaming our individual server. I have gone to regular breakfast there and love it, but would not go to Easter or Mother's Day brunch again.

It was a beautiful day to sit outside so we decided to try Wildflower. It had been recommended a while back by a friend. It was wonderful! The beer was good but way overpriced. The meal was delicious. We'd definitely eat here again but will pass on the drinks.

Enjoyable time at Wildflower. The salads were rather ordinary and I was expecting a more exciting selection. What we had was fresh and tasty. One person ordered the steak special which I though was rather expensive, more than twice the price of other entrees. The beer selection was surprisingly limited; I expected more local varieties. Overall, the experience was good, but not unusual or exciting.

Had Saturday morning brunch and it was exceptional! It may not look like a five star spot but it will surprise you! We loved the oatmeal and almond seasonal waffles! Service was top notch! Will definitely be back next time I'm in town!

On arrival, we were told they had no reservation - we asked at least 3 separate times to check, and even finally produced our Open Table Reservation. They seated us (early and not yet busy) in the worst place for traffic, and so that was not pleasant particularly since we bothered to request a booth if possible, and there were many on our arrival. Service was good and food was good as well. No complaints about that - just the treatment and lack of acknowledgement of our reservation requests.
