Nightly Irish organic salmon special
Sunday - Country Club fried chicken
We were really disappointed in our meal. Had a group of 8. Plenty of open tables on a Saturday night which we thought was weird. Cocktails and salads were good. Main courses were bland, unimaginative and my husband's $50 ribeye was one of the worst cuts of meat he's every eaten. Sent most of it back. We are not complainers ever, but he said something to the manager who took it off our bill. Location and ambiance are really great but they need to do a major food overhaul and maybe get a new chef. Disappointing.
The restaurant was offering buffet service only, with no menu option. I was not informed of this when making the reservation or before being seated. I asked two employees what the buffet cost was; neither knew the answer. The buffet was picked over, with several dishes either empty or nearly empty. Drinks were not refilled despite waitstaff having no food to run due to the buffet arrangement. Extremely disappointing experience.
Easter Buffet, great experience always love their food and people
I was at the restaurant for Easter Sunday. I had been to a Sunday brunch before and really enjoyed the food. On this date, a buffet was offered for $38.00 a person. I did not find the food to be as good as what I had experienced before. I am not a fan of buffets and when I made the reservation it was not noted for the date so I was expecting the regular menu. Overall, I like the restaurant, just not this particular meal!
Delicious food. Fresh local unique. Always quality. Never had a negative experience. Have gone for casual dinner and date/anniversary. Had son's rehearsal dinner there: excellent. Easter brunch delicious and were seated at time of reservation.
Easter brunch was a disappointment. The buffet was very limited. There was fruit, a couple of egg dishes, two kinds of potatoes, some pasteries, bacon, salad and salmon mouse. There were also cookies or cake, but never made it there. The service was slow. I think they did not have enough servers, so not blaming our individual server. I have gone to regular breakfast there and love it, but would not go to Easter or Mother's Day brunch again.
It was a beautiful day to sit outside so we decided to try Wildflower. It had been recommended a while back by a friend. It was wonderful! The beer was good but way overpriced. The meal was delicious. We'd definitely eat here again but will pass on the drinks.
Enjoyable time at Wildflower. The salads were rather ordinary and I was expecting a more exciting selection. What we had was fresh and tasty. One person ordered the steak special which I though was rather expensive, more than twice the price of other entrees. The beer selection was surprisingly limited; I expected more local varieties. Overall, the experience was good, but not unusual or exciting.
Had Saturday morning brunch and it was exceptional! It may not look like a five star spot but it will surprise you! We loved the oatmeal and almond seasonal waffles! Service was top notch! Will definitely be back next time I'm in town!
On arrival, we were told they had no reservation - we asked at least 3 separate times to check, and even finally produced our Open Table Reservation. They seated us (early and not yet busy) in the worst place for traffic, and so that was not pleasant particularly since we bothered to request a booth if possible, and there were many on our arrival. Service was good and food was good as well. No complaints about that - just the treatment and lack of acknowledgement of our reservation requests.
The signature garlic chicken entree was dry and tasted like it had beenfrozen and reheated. The side of pasta was pasty and cold as was the small, limp piece of broccoli.
Great Saturday brunch! Complete selection, excellent service, friendly and upbeat
Great food! Server was very attentive. Would go back again!
This 2as the first tone I had ever been to Wildflower and let me just say I was blown away. Probably my new brunch spot!
I took my friend here for her Birthday Brunch & it's hard to find a Saturday Brunch place. it was just the 2 of us and the I got the Eggs Benedict which I am on a kick for these days and my friend got the Salmon Scrambled eggs. Both were very good. I also got the grand mimosa also YUMMY.
I would say the only thing was that b/c it was only 2 of us they put us at the wall with the small table, which was fine but I'm not a fan of those type of tables.
This was my 1st time being here in a VERY long time and sad I hadn't been since - defiantly will be going back sooner then later!
Nice brunch spot!
Food was good but service could have been better. We had a reservation and were seated upon arriving but no one came to our table until we asked the host who our server was. The host only had left one menu and we had to ask for 2 others. Server was pleasant when he came to our table but seemed to be busy with too many tables. We also had to ask the host again for our check because we couldn't find our server. Quality of food was good but I think they could have used some more wait staff. The restaurant was also very crowded and it was hard to hold a conversation in there.
The crab cakes benedict was really good!
Food options were fantastic except for the lobster bisque. Too much cream, no lobster pieces. The shepards pie was outstanding and my wife's pasta dish is still being raved. Something for everyone and quality abounded. Friendly, outstanding service. Make a reservation and enjoy.
The food (brunch) was delicious. Service was sub-par (at least one part of the service team was high). The restaurant was very loud, even when not seated to full capacity. I've eaten here twice, had a much better experience when I sat outside. As for value: pay almost $4 for a side of fruit that equals 1/2 a measuring cup's worth. I suppose I was expecting a bowl. I'd probably eat here again if a friend really wanted to (& we could sit outside). But I wouldn't go out of my way to recommend it.
Great foot and atmosphere. Recommended to anyone costing the neighborhood.
It's always great here. Not too loud. Reasonably priced. And a fantastic staff. The food is unique and flavorful. I highly recommend it.
The absolute worst service I have ever had. The waiter only stopped at our table every 25-30 minutes and it took 1.5 hours to get from sitting down to getting our entrees. 25 minutes to get our drinks and another 40 for the next round. I also watched my waiter walk by numerous times without even attempting eye contact with our table to go take shots with another table or in the back with his coworkers. I have never spent so much money to be so disappointed. The food was subpar at best and the only saving grace was the owner. She checked in on us, removed plates, and filled our water glasses. 2.5 hours and $65 I will never get back. I will NOT return here, ever again.
Fun find in the neighborhood. Visiting from out of town and found this gem on an afternoon walk. Delicious food, great atmosphere, friendly service. Will definitely hit again on our next visit to town.
This place never disappoints! from the staff to the food quality, always perfect!
The food was good. The portions were sensible and the ambiance was very nice for valentines day. The service was nice but the restaurant staff was overwhelmed. I think on a regular day it would probably be better
Poor presentation and service. Low quality for the price point.
The Wildflower menu is varied enough so anyone can find something to their liking be it a couple or group. Nicely prepared and presented dishes with attentive friendly service. Wildflower restaurant in the Central West End of St. Louis is located just up Euclid from the Washingtion University School of Medicine in St, Louis, Barnes-Jewish Hospital and the Siteman Cancer Center.
My mother, grandmother and I go out to brunch once a month at a new place. This was my choice and it was delicious. It was the best brunch we have been too and we have been doing this for over a year.
Amazing as always!
Really couldn't have been happier. Pulled the owner to the side and told him our waiter made the deal. Great Sunday brunch
My wife and I had dinner here for her birthday. Our meal was delicious. Everything we had was delightful: duck confit, chopped Cobb salad, blackened salmon, seafood risotto..
I think the only thing that might have slightly missed the mark for us was the bread pudding. It was still really tasty, but both the temperature and texture were unlike that of bread puddings we've had in NOLA and elsewhere.
Our waiter was very, but not over-attentive.
Overall, great experience and we will definitely be coming back!
A wonderful comfortable place to meet friends for dinner.
The food was okay but could have been warmer. We asked if we could have mashed potatoes instead of the pasta that came with the dish. The waiter said that was a fine substitution. However, when the meal arrived, the mashed potatoes appeared to be a bunch of fingerling potatoes that were just smashed up a bit....not creamy at all but well seasoned. We didn't make it an issue as we were dining with friends, but don't allow a substitution that can't be delivered in a quality manner.
We eat here probably two times a month At least and also their barbecue restaurant across the street. We had dinner there last night.
This was a good choice for brunch for a table of 12. Good range of selections with something for everyone, attentive service, nice ambiance.
Great dinning experience.
We decided to dine here for brunch on New Year's Day. The food was delicious, and the service was warm and friendly. We had a great experience.
For the price it was very overrated. A set menu for New Years eve was fine and there were some good options to choose from. When I made the reservations I specifically inquired about gluten free options and while they told us over the phone almost everything on the menu could be prepared gluten free, the waiter was clueless. He checked with the chef who confirmed what we had been told previously. No harm no foul.
We ordered a cheese plate as an appetizer $19. We weren't told what the cheeses were by the waiter, so we were left to guess. It also didn't include toast points or any cracker type item to go with it. We found out after our meal, when a cheese board was brought to a nearby table that it did come with toast, they just left it off our order.
I had the Lamb Osso Bucco which was great, but was very small for $38. Another diner ordered lobster stuffed skate $40 and about 5 minutes after she began eating it, she noticed it was raw. It was sent back, and returned just a few minutes later still cold and only partially cooked longer in what we assumed was a microwave. Needless to say she didn't eat very much.
This was a pretty disappointing experience overall. On New Years Eve, we were scrambling for last minute reservations. Now I know why they had open seatings available.
