   We were disappointed with our experience last evening. Wheatfields had always been one of my favorite restaurants in town for years! The service at the bar was slow and inattentive for both drinks and food. Our salad came out with our meal even though we asked for the salad first. My entree (bolognese) came back to me, dry and pasty; it tasted as though it sat in the back under a lamp until I finished my salad. The ambiance seemed different; not as inviting as it has been. I also noticed there were no tablecloths on the tables. Is this a recent change? We have mixed feelings about returning to Wheatfield’s, I am sorry to say.

   We came a from Vancouver BC to visit Saratoga Springs after 10 years away and Wheatfileds was a must. Best White Sangrias ever and wonderful food.

   Tony is an exceptional host/bartender/server. He knows how to make you feel welcome and at ease. He pays attention to every detail. The rest of the staff is also great, but Tony sets the pace and tone.

   I was a little disappointed in our experience. We were expecting a nice date night out, but we’re seated in the back between two, VERY loud families with children. Also, having a nice dinner with Guns n Roses playing in the background, really wasn’t something we expected. We were also disappointed that our food did not include bread (we had to pay $3 extra for a “baguette,” which turned out to be a weird roll thing) or salad. Overall, I guess my expectations were too high. Wheatfields would be a fine place to get dinner if you were expecting a very casual outing.

   We were seated right by the bar for dinner, and as a result got treated to a cacophony of clean-up, keg transport, and glass-stacking. While I fully understand people want to go home, this is why you wait until the restaurant has cleared out before you start those types of chores. It also didn't help the food was mediocre at best.

   We had brunch while celebrating a close friend’s birthday. Everyone enjoyed their omelets, French toast and eggs Benedict…the home fried potatoes were perfectly seasoned. John M was attentive and helpful. The tiramisu and cheesecake were delicious, we recommend this brunch and will definitely be back.

    I made a reservation here based on what Wheatfields used to be. I will never go back. The food was mediocre at best. One meal came out cold, the steak tips were overcooked, the chicken Marsala was bland. Bread with dinner is considered an appetizer. Our waiter was also the bartender. The place was empty and I can see why. Very disappointed. I do not recommend you go here.

    The bartender was super friendly and easy to talk to. I had the chicken parmesan over pasta and the chick parm itself was great, but the noodles were over cooked. The bread is wonderful.

    Everything was great except that the lack of waitstaff was apparent from the beginning. In all fairness though the whole restaurant industry seems to be suffering from this issue. I will definitely be back.

    Service was good but very rushed. Apps salad and dinner all can’t at the same time. Riggis are great, kids loved the homemade Mac n cheese.

    Service was fast. Didn't wait long for appetizers or the main course. Was rather noisy. Had to remind my waiter to grab my baguettes which I specifically asked to have out first. tables seemed to be too close to other patrons. My date and I could hear everyone's conversation around us.

    Table was in a very cramped area and caught a cold draft each time the door opened. The team was very accommodating though and moved us right away when we requested a new spot. Thank you!

    Christmas Day may not be typical, but I have not enjoyed my meals here as much as I have in the past. We were seated promptly. Our waitress was pleasant but not particularly skilled. Eating bruschetta can be a messy proposition, so one might expect that someone on staff would wipe the table between courses? Nope. Fill an empty water glass without having to ask? Nope. Replace dirty forks between courses? Nope. Meatball app was also very good. Pasta dishes were good but not exceptional. I won’t blame the restaurant, but I was sick all night and was fine before dinner, and fine eight hours after dinner.

    This has become my favorite restaurant. Love sitting at the hightop table in the window and watching the shoppers go by. The food is fabulous, and the service is great. We were not rushed and really enjoyed ourselves. Definitely going back soon!

    The Chicken “Riggi” is incredible! I had the haddock special which was delicious and my husband got the Chicken “Riggi” the other night and he is still talking about how delicious it was. We didn’t have the full amount of heat in it, but a touch, and it was so good on a cold night.

    My girlfriends and I just loved the Christmas cocktail menu! I had one of the dinner specials which was a pasta with butternut squash cream sauce and spinach that was out of this world!

    Having dinner at Wheatfields on the night of the Victorian Street Walk is a family tradition!!! Again last night Wheatfields did not disappoint!!! I encourage you all to try the Gingerbread Martini this holiday!!! Yummy!!! Yummy!!! The entire dinner was delicious!! The service was wonderful, and the view of Broadway is always entertaining!!!!

    Was seated quickly but had a lot of trouble getting a waiter. Finally got someone assigned to our table and then had a wait quite a long time for our food. The steak was overcooked and the salad was not as good as when I'd had it 2 weeks prior. Overall not good.

    We had a reservation for the two of us for our anniversary. We were looking forward to enjoying a nice meal. We were disappointed at best. We ordered drinks with the caprese salad, a baguette & a side of the homemade Mariana sauce. We did not receive the bread along with the rest of our order. So, we waited and waited and waited. We asked three people to get it. Finally, someone completely different brought out the bread & made some snarky lame excuse. Our original sever (John) never returned. We told John that we were going to order more food but he never came back. We were unable to order our main meal. He never even followed up with a “ hey, how is everything “ Weird. I have enjoyed meals here at this location two times prior and wanted my husband to share this place and all that it offered in the past. Not that it matters, but we came in from Vermont. And I will not be going to Wheatfields again. Plenty of other places to eat.

    My friend and I split a Margarita pizza with chicken and chopped salad. Both were delicious. Portion size was perfect and we enjoyed an attentive waitstaff. We received our check promptly, when asked. Noise level was much better than most places in Saratoga. I would highly recommend Wheatfields and will visit again soon!

    If you're used to homemade or authentic Italian food, this is probably not the place for you. I grew up in a location with lots of amazing Italian food, so I'm definitely biased. The cheese and tomato sauce were flavorless and the homemade pasta was a thick shape I've never seen and served overcooked (I love mine al dente, so a huge no for me.) It was bustling, so someone is liking it. It's just not for me.
