We dined in the outdoor area and it was warm. Almost too warm so we asked a waitress to turn down the heat and she did. The entire staff was pleasant and helpful.
This was my first time having oysters in Seattle and it was AMAZING. Staff was very knowledgeable and overall just so nice. Our table was clean and even though our reservation was at the end of the night, we never felt rushed or hurried, only welcomed! We tried a little of everything and not a single dish disappointed. We will definitely be back again soon.
The mains were delicious: ribs, salmon, chickpea fritters. The octopus small plate was too salty. The zucchini side was really good. The chocolate pudding was heavenly. Service was excellent. Outdoor seating had a wonderful view of downtown. The metal chairs are a bit cold on one’s rear end but the fire pit kept us toasty. Wonderful special evening!
We came very early to our reservation and they graciously seated us. Super courteous staff, knowledgeable about the menu, but not overly overbearing. We got the seafood tower and it was crazy tasty. Also got some mains which were really yummy and warm. View was great, got to watch the sunset, they lighted a nice fire that we were seated near, and it was lovely lovely.
My husband and I have been to Westward many times and always had a lovely experience. Last night, however, was the first time the food was not spectacular and the service was at most, meh. I'm hopeful that it was just an off night, but it was definitely a disappointing meal.
Our initial server (a woman) was friendly, welcoming, and very helpful. She was apparently only filling in for our regular server (a man), who was sullen, unengaging, and mostly ignored us. My husband and I had to flag other staff to assist us with ordering additional drinks, and I finally had to call for our server so we could ask for our bill.
The food was fine, but half of the chickpea fritters were overcooked and crumbly, and spareribs were more fat than meat. Again, just hoping it was an off night, as we have always previously had wonderful meals at Westward.
Amazing place! Came here with family and we all loved it. The oysters are super fresh
It just isn’t my the same— I used to love to sit by the fire and throw my oyster shells on the beach. It’s not just a covid change. Now it just feels like another restaurant that grew in a gentrified neighborhood. Don’t get me wrong, food is outstanding, but the ambience just isn’t there anymore.
Probably also didn’t help that our waiter gruff to the point of being rude. Was he new? We tried to give him the benefit of the doubt— but little things just kept occurring. He couldn’t understand why I wanted my own menu: “what’s wrong with this one”— I am all about safety during covid, but I also want to be able to look at a menu to place an order. If the staff doesn’t want to waste paper, I suggest using the new standard QR code.
Brought the wrong beer.
I miss the old fun place.
Friend visiting from CA
Food was good but I felt like the servers kept nudging for us to leave early...
The birthday dinner with friends was fabulous! Service was excellent and the food was creative and high quality.
Went on a windy, rainy night, but still delicious snd cozy while listening to the rain come down. Great service and delicious food. Loved our visit
Westward was fantastic. It's spendy, but it's a special event place.
Gorgeous patio on the water, lovely staff, and delicious food. Loved the brunch menu!
Best brunch we have been to! Beautiful patio by the water and everything was perfect 👌🏼
The food, cocktails and view were all amazing! Staff was wonderful and attentive!
Love this place. Service excellent even though they brought the oysters after dinner the waiter was very friendly about it. View was good. Location weird but was fine. 100% recommend this restaurant
Love the setting and the food was great! Our service was very slow and we didn’t get our mains at the same time. There were hairs in both
Service is always great here! Food never disappoints!
Nice cocktails, great food, awesome view and ambient. Very friendly and efficient staff.
Excellent place to have lunch with friends.
The menu was extremely limited and nothing was really inspiring. What we ended up getting was ok but not for the price. I don't think we'll be going back; this was our third visit.
Tasty, interesting food choices, good vibe and gorgeous view of Seattle lights across the water.
Great views, awesome service and amazing food
Parking is really difficult, there was broken glass shard on the table, and service was spotty, leaving empty plates on the table for a long time. Corn and chickpea were very good, and scallop ceviche was the best thing we tried today. Shrimp on the seafood tower however was bland, even with the in house hot sauce.
Very nice location and set up. Enjoyed our drinks and really liked the tomatoes (yum!), octopus, and clams. Our server forgot a couple of the things we ordered and we did have to ask a second time. Appreciate that they are checking vaccine cards and have great protocols, but did seem odd that they would sit two parties at the same large table…especially since vaccination is not required outside and you have no idea who you may be bumping elbows with. Would recommend this venue for drinks and apps to start your night if you’re in the area!
It was perfect! We were Married at this location 22 years ago and we were there to celebrate our Anniversary. The entire experience was amazing. We will be back soon.
Brunch menu is not very brunch-y, more like a seafood lunch menu but we had a great time with the best view and ambiance on the lake. Our server was great at helping with recommendations and was on top of everything.
Came here for lunch while visiting Seattle. Food was bland and menu was very limited. Would highly recommend eating before and only coming here for drinks. The service was below average and I would not return.
Innovative small plate cuisine with a vibrant feel. Small menu of main dishes. The food was outstanding and the wait staff wa sboth friendly and professional. It was a nice meal. The homeless encampment near the resataurant did cause a little concern
Such an amazing evening at Westward. We don't dine out as much these days due to Covid. What a treat! It did not disappoint. Food, service; awwww the service especially and the ambience were all 5 stars!
We always enjoy our visit to Westward. Great location and views, good food and service. We were thrilled to see Craig helping us!
We had a lovely time! Food and drinks were delicious and the service was excellent. Overall such good quality for the price! Excited to come back soon
Beautiful view right on the water. Menu was severely limited (primarily oysters) and expensive for what you get. Unfortunately the parking area has been overrun by homeless RVs tents and chop shops. Bit of a scary place to leave your vehicle. I recommend taking an Uber!
Oysters and cocktails were lovely. Most of the entrees were overpriced for the size and quality. Parking next to broken vehicles was lackluster. Go back for brunch.
Great dinner with awesome views
Excellent !!!! Wonderful food and service. Would recommend to anyone and can’t wait to visit again!
Not sure why, but the service was poor. Our waiter was fine, but the hostess was Condescending and it really rubbed me the wrong way. She gave us a weird look as if we didn’t belong there and it dampened the evening.
Clams were ok. Menu never mentioned anything Spicy (saffron broth) but the dish had red pepper flakes.
Chips were tasteless. Dip was something from a grocery store.
We had a great experience. A wonderful place to spend a Sunday afternoon.
Service was uneven. What’s w the menus? Server brought wrong food to us many times. Still, most things were tasty and the setting can’t be beat.
