The wait staff was rude, awkward, and inattentive. Our party was given a plate of food that we did not order and our waitress acknowledged that it was not intended for us. I later realized I was charged for that plate. The overall experience was terrible which was unfortunate for a birthday celebration.
Always fantastic. Love how they have adapted to covid. Very safe. Very friendly. Always great. Please visit them and give them business!
Loved everything! Thank you Westward for hosting me!
Duck was dry and cold....too much salt from brine....too expensive....a few shrimp for 25 DOLLARS....never again
I would highly recommend going to Westward especially during these COVID times. They have excellent outdoor seating that is tented, but with great air circulation. The heaters above the table work well and keep you from feeling chilled while you eat. The view is amazing! We also had a great waiter who gave suggestions and was very helpful. 10/10 recommend.
Everything is extremely small and overpriced. For example, we ordered the Alaskan prawns and they are $40 with tax for 4 prawns. That’s $10/prawn! They were good but not THAT good. To feel full for 2 people, you’d probably need to spend $300.
Then we asked ourselves - is this $300 quality food? The answer is definitely not. It felt like a rip off so we left to get food somewhere else.
Fresh tasty oysters, delicious cocktails and always great service!
Great COVID prevention precautions, Westward clearly cares about the safety of their customers AND their employees which is refreshing and reassuring. Lovely oysters, gorgeous view, and terrific service.
It was our first "date night" out in months, but we found the environment to be safe, and the heaters under the open tent to do the trick. The food was fantastic and the service was a perfect 10!
Thank you Westward for staying strong and creating a wonderful dining experience in these pandemic days. You are appreciated!
If you want a romantic date night during the age of COVID, this is the place. The wine bottles are very overpriced (some were over three times as expensive as retail, selling $36 bottles for $100+), but everything is so delicious. The service is also fantastic, as we were well taken care of. Sitting by the firepit on the water with our drinks after our dinner was lovely.
Great effort in feeling covid safe and the food was amazing!!!!
Such a wonderful set up, really impressive food and service and all around experience. Can’t wait to go back.
Fabulous outdoor dining. They have heaters above each of the tables. Hand sanitizer when you walk in. They are really good about wearing masks and having you wear masks at the table when not eating or drinking.
All of our food was fantastic. We got raw oysters, baked oysters, the duck and the spicy dip.
Drinks are also fantastic. The view is amazing. The is a small parking lot out front but plenty of street parking across the street.
Fantastic restaurant. Great outdoor seating with heaters and an amazing view. Would definitely recommend!
One of the best places for outdoor dining ins Seattle!
Cutest waiter, and fine dining! Great cocktails, oysters and scenery. Can't wait to dine inside!!!
Maybe my expectations were too high, but I felt the meal would be better prepared for the expense of a New Year's Eve dinner. The first course of oysters was excellent. Both courses that included shrimp, the shrimp was overcooked. The server graciously subbed in pork belly after we didn't enjoy the shrimp in the fourth course, but that wasn't cooked well enough and we didn't finish it as well. And the dessert was underwhelming but tasted good enough. As I said, maybe my expectations was set too high but this meal wasn't up to the reputation of the restaurant.
We bundled up and sat around a bonfire out back at Westward to enjoy cocktails and oysters. Thought it was very cold and rainy, we still had a great time. The staff was very attentive and everything tasted top notch. We'll be back again, maybe once it has warmed up a bit :)
Highly Recommended, services, and food are great. location is fantastic. we went for dinner; I am sure during the morning or around sunset will be great as well
Although a bit pricey, Westward has continuously been my best dining experience for oysters in town. The variety of oysters they have is excellent and frankly they seem to taste better there. The atmosphere is beautiful with a view of Lake Union and downtown - it's classic Seattle magic.
Everything we ordered was fantastic, especially the duck leg confit, the halibut and the smashed fingerling potatoes
Poor value. $4/oyster. charged extra for hot sauce for the oysters, charged extra for another slice of bread, clams were over-priced. I know it's a pandemic, and restaurants need our help -- that's why we went out -- but we shouldn't be spending excessive money on things we don't really need, especially if the servers aren't benefitting from the higher prices.
The location is great, even with lockdown considerations. The heaters were actually useful, which cannot be said of other outdoor options in the city these days. The food was delicious, although portions were quite small. We left with a fairly high tally, but still hungry. The restaurant was full, but with low capacity regulations, was not particularly busy. Nonetheless, our server visited our table infrequently and seems bothered by our polite requests for service. Our drinks took 20 minutes and our inquiry into their whereabouts was met with impatience. We would have merrily ordered several more had we had the remaining time before last call.
It was a great place to eat. Food was yummy. A bit pricey but overall very yummy.
Excellent view, fabulous food, ok for a splurge but too dang pricey overall. Love to support our restaurants during this terrible COVID pandemic! Would come more often if a bit more reasonable re: small portions/price. But, so tasty and such a fun outdoor setting!
Beautiful brunch and great COVID precautions. Lots of covered, well-ventilated, and heated outdoor seating.
Deserves a Michelin star. We will come back for more!
I really enjoyed the food and our staff. My ding on ambience is we were given the chance to eat with heaters outside and it was cold, so we chose inside at a 50% of capacity. They then opened the doors so it was like being outside with no heaters Were both freezing.
Wonderful evening! Thank you!
Setting and food were great... servers were a little reluctant and didn’t seem comfortable serving food even to masked guests. Bizarre Mexican music began blasting halfway through our meal, it was completely incongruous with the atmosphere and mood. Won’t be back until restaurant seems to want to welcome guests.
Thank you for a wonderful evening. We will definitely be back again!
The oyster person mansplained and said buy more he was terse and unprofessional we dine out frequently and don’t need to be encouraged to spend money we’re looking for Rrstaurants who’s ambiance and reputation can live up to their food not a college oyster bartender
Amazing food and drinks with friendly and knowledgeable service. Highly recommend!
Delicious food, great service, great precautions to address COVID-19.
Great outdoor dining experience, we came ready in our warm outer wear.
It was my birthday and we were SO impressed with the cocktails, choice of wine to go with the food, and our entrees! We seriously could’ve licked our plates! The local oysters, duck leg confit, halibut, and roasted potatoes were all amazing! We will definitely go back and definitely summer 2021. We didn’t take time away from eating to take pics.
$30+ for a crab roll which wasn't very good, the bread was cold, crab too cold
Overcooked ham and egg with a very cold polenta and a piece of hard butter on top.
Excellent bread, good cocktails, good service.
Too expensive for what you get.
Would love to see more heaters outside because on a clear night there is no place better!
