Last night before renovation so out of a few menu items, and felt a little less celebratory given it was New Year's Eve with the imminent closure. Food was delicious. It is a bit of an odd mashup to merge the small portions and high prices (upscale foodie sensibility) with the casual beach bar vibe. Fun and yummy though!
Had a great New Years Eve dinner. We will be back after the remodel.
Absolutely fantastic food and over the top pro service!!
Great food and service
Excellent service with unique dishes.
Birthday dinner, food was fabulous, service was outstanding and company was excellent! Couldn’t have asked for anything more!
Lovely restaurant with a modern vibe. Gorgeous views of Lake Union. Oysters are fabulous. Interesting cocktails. All the food was amazing and quite filling.
Food was great, service was mediocre. Lack of follow though .
The evening was enjoyable, but was intended as a business dinner. Hard surfaces made conversations difficult.
The man who seated us was terrible. He had a bad attitude and wasn’t welcoming whatsoever. Didn’t even greet us. He was cold, rude and when I asked if there were any other options for tables for our large party, he simply pointed to the bar seating in front of the window. He could have simply said “no, there are no other table options this evening.” We were all tremendously bothered by his attitude.
perfect night. used the fire pit for a cocktail then had an awesome dinner inside. woman who took care of us was THE BEST. coming back often.
The happy hour menu was disappointing in how limited it was although the things we tried were good. Was really disappointed by the limited dinner menu...hoping to see some changes soon as I would like to return to this lovely setting. Great service 5 star! Would not recommend to a friend until the menu expands.
My favorite restaurant in Seattle. A must for when we have guests in town. It's a gorgeous restaurant on the water without being touristy. Great food, drinks and oysters.
Best waitress, Emily!! and the food and setting were really wonderful!
Service and food were amazing. So much better since Sea Creatures restaurant group purchased it. Happy to have such good food in a great setting.
We loved our food it was so good.
Westward’s view can’t be beat. The food and service are great. Good happy hour menu, too.
This is my favorite restaurant for oysters and craft cocktails.
Salmon was over cooked and over priced. Service was slow.
Amazing food, cocktails not the best, but spectacular service. Loved it!
Always love Westward. Great service and delicious food. Not to mention the amazing view.
Nice place but waiters continually interrupt conversations. Please coach the staff on this.
I wanted to send out a special thank you for the Westward team. The team was so accommodating and helpful even when some of our plans changed. The venue is beautiful with a unique vibe that we all loved. Our food and service was fantastic and we would recommend it to all of our family and colleagues.
Food tasted great but service was unprofessional and inexperienced, although sincere. Absolutely freezing. Everyone had coats on inside the restaurant. Trying to promote some sort of indoor-outdoor vibe in 40 degree weather, with high prices and fine food. I got my parka out of my car, and during dinner accidentally knocked several dishes from the table with my awkward puffy sleeves.
One of my best meals in Seattle and plate of mixed oysters to share excellent . Great service, sort of lumberjack chic !
The food was delicious, the ambiance was great. We had a fantastic waitress. It was just that the servings were so small. We ordered the halibut, the chicken, and the risotto. We ended up ordering sides to supplement because three entrees was not enough food.
Westward is one of my favorite restaurants in Seattle. The good news is that it's small and intimate and just feels special - a little gem. The bad news is that it's small and intimate so it can be hard to get in and even harder to get a seat with a view - but when you do, wow! Follow any recommendations from the staff - they know what they're talking about!
Great place. The view is great. The food is fantastic. We had oysters. A different variety and they were all great. Afterwards my wife had the octopus salad which was delicious and I got the halibut. The halibut was amazing. Highly recommend it. Only down side was the drinks. Whiskey drinks were little drink and lots of ice. Other than that everything was great and the staff and service was great as well
I wish I liked this place more.
Unfortunately, I felt both a little nickel and dimed, with entrees being smaller and more expensive than they seem they should. Oysters were also expensive, wine and beer too.
But I don’t expect any real changes, my experience wasn’t bad enough to shock anyone into making changes at the restaurant or reupholster the flaking off pleather chairs. Opulence fronted, but not appropriately backed up with the quality charged for.
Good food but overpriced. Most tables inside have no view. Noisy, easy parking, popular place; our waiter rushed us through the meal. Fun for 1 visit but I won’t go back.
Great place to go for the views and the food, which blends local fresh ingredients. Lots of small plates, so sharing is great. Happy hour has great value (especially for the tasty oysters).
Don’t go for an early dinner unless you are 30-ish, drink a lot and have a very loud voice. The food, a pork chop and halibut was OK, lacked sides , ( eg: no dinner salad to be found) and the tab for two ran to $100 w/tip. Only one beer!
We brought out of town guests and absolutely loved the outside setting. It was a perfect NW evening. The only downside was the music was too loud to be able to enjoy a conversation without having to shout or yell into each other’s ear. The Food was amazing!!
Great setting - but food was just average compared to what we can expect in Seattle.
Beautiful day on the water! At first, menu seemed unusual- took us a little out of our comfort zone- but everything was excellent. Everyone agreed, we will be back.
Excellent meal. Excellent service. We enjoyed the open kitchen/open room concept and, of course, the view is fabulous.
The food & service were excellent. It was my boyfriend’s birthday and the staff acknowledged him kindly without embarrassing him. Very well done!
Great food and service, exceeded expectations
They took the lamb off of the menu (it was my absolute favourite) but this braised short rib was something else. I come here time and time again when visiting Seattle and highly recommend it to anyone.
Dinner has always been amazing at Westward, so we tried it for a celebratory family brunch. Unfortunately, the food was really not up to par. It was disappointing as I think of this as a go to.
