                                            We had a great experience at Wayfare Tavern! The service was amazing and our wait staff was very personable. Our food was taking a little longer to come so our wait staff brought us a dessert. The ambiance is comfortable but decorated nicely and the food was delicious!

                                            Wayfare Tavern is an eclectic restaurant located between the Financial District and Union Square. They have a small menu, but very large an excellent wine menu. They are famous for their cheeseburger (really), fried chicken, and deviled egg appetizer. I had the pork chop over pearled couscous which was excellent. Service is excellent as well. the tables are very close together, and noise level is high. So, probably not the best for a romantic evening. But, it is super fun and an excellent restaurant.

                                            Delicious meal, as always. The wine pairings recommended by our server were spot on and complemented the range of entrees our table ordered.

                                            I've dined at Wayfare Tavern several times and wanted to take my niece who was in town for a business conference. I've always ordered the fried chicken but this time decided to try the chicken sandwich. The chicken pieces were lumpy, one piece was grisly and another was pink. The slaw was also lumpy so the chicken was sliding off the bun. I thought about sending it back but due to the circumstances of inviting my niece to one of my favorite restaurants, I didn't do it although I only ate 1/2 of the sandwich. I was really disappointed and wish I had sent it back.

                                            Wayfare Tavern is a gem. The food is high-end hearty, the ambience is cozy as heck, and the service is always top notch. Brought a friend and she was also blown away. Thanks for a great dinner!

                                            I've been to Wayfare 3-4 times in the last few months & each time it has been delicious. The service varies. And, it is VERY noisy.

                                            Saved this restaurant for a birthday celebration. Some of the staff was excellent but our server was less than adequate. We received appetizers but no share plates. No one checked in between courses. Appetizers arrived quickly but once they were cleared it was a good 20 minutes before our cold entrees arrived. Again, no one came by to check on the table. Took a few bites & eventually a busser came to offer boxes. I hope this was an off night but will not be returning & can not recommend especially for a special occasion.

                                            I LOVE coming here! Have dined here 20+ times. I would just have to make a few recommendations. Knowing that the menu changes seasonally, you know that what you ordered the last time might not be on the menu this time. The fried chicken and burger are always standouts. Unfortunately, this time I ordered the salad with the side of fried chicken. I would have to say that the side of chicken was very small and I was really expecting more like a 1/4 chicken for the $16-18 price tag. When you had the fried chicken sandwich, that was AWESOME! Great coleslaw, nice portion. The chicken & waffle option looked great as well. From a service standpoint, the waiter kept removing plates even though we hadn't finished eating. We sat at 11:30 and at 1pm everything was removed. Had to ask several times not to take away the last fries. No longer had any condiments to go with the fries. Although this sounds like a negative review, it's only for feedback to the restaurant. I will DEFINITELY go back, again & again. If you are hungry though, skip the salad with the fried chicken on the side, and indulge in the burger, fried chicken entree or chicken & waffles.
