Wayfare Tavern
All three floors of the restaurant have been designed keeping historical accuracy in mind making Wayfare Tavern reminiscent of a Victorian parlor and an Edwardian men's club, where anything goes from black-tie to blue jeans. Pull up a stool to the Chef's Counter at the open kitchen and look on as Chef prepares your lunch or head to the Library and Billiard Room for a game of pool. Wayfare Tavern is a truly unparalleled dining experience translated from a century ago. Photo: John Lee.

Food is amazing! Tartare, chicken, burratta , cocktails were all fantastic.
Excellent! Enjoyed the entire experience. Both Brad and Rick took care of us and they were wonderful stewards of the Wayfare experience.
The Wayfare makes dining outdoors about as nice as it can be....good shelter, clean, protected from wind, and delicious food..It's a go to place, before during, and post Covid..City Salad and Mussels were very good. Have had the burger on other occasions.. Overall, good service, and very nice.
Good. But couldn’t get the heater going for us:(
Enjoyed the food, the ambiance of outdoor dining and our server, who was attentive and knowledgeable about our food inquiries. Our water glasses were always full. Enjoyed our lunch at Wayfare Tavern, and will return again.
Great food, cocktails, wine list, and ambiance. Service was excellent
It was only 50 degrees, but it felt freezing with the draft. The restaurant needs to set up better to block drafts and have more heat lamps. Service was excellent, and food was in general great if not at the right temperature due to getting it to the outside patrons.
Fast and attentive service. Excellent quality food and they’ve really embraced the outdoor dining experience wonderfully.
Dined out doors for valentines day. We have been to the restaurant many times over the years. Outdoor dining is in the alley next to the restaurant. Tables well spaced plenty of heaters , also barrier built closer to the street so wind was not an issue. The staff reviewed the restaurants Covid and mask wearing protocols when we sat down. Food was delicious as always. Will be back again.
Normally a great spot but I guess they have really cut down on the menu during covid. Not many options and were unwilling to make accommodations when asked.
Wayfare has an excellent setup for outdoor, socially distanced dining, with no compromise of food quality or service. We greatly enjoyed our dinner and look forward to returning!
The outdoor set up was lacking in that it looked hap hazard and frugal. The seating was extremely uncomfortable and really felt cheap given Wayfair Tacern’s vibe. I feel like they could do better.
Wayfare’s first day back after a short-closure.... which may have contributed to our mediocre experience. Burrata mashed potato were amazing! Cocktails and wine selections very good. Fried chicken was good, not great. My salmon was ok, lentils were not fully cooked, chalky. Caesar salad was not good. Our last visit was spectacular so we were understandably disappointed. Staff was excellent.
Always an amazing experience
Excellent outdoor dining experience
Fried chicken is everything’s they say it is. Best you’ll ever have probably. Buratta mashed potatoes are decadent creamy ridiculously good. Popovers amazing. Caesar was not impressive. Ambience I gave a two only because it’s outside dining only now. The chairs are really uncomfortable. Could have been more heat lamps but they give you a little blanket. The inside of the tavern is cool old school swank. Liked to go back when we can have the true experience inside.
Our visit to Wayfare Tavern was on the first day in February that restaurants could offer dining outside. It was a beautiful but windy day but the setting on a side street with heat lanterns was quite comfortable.
The staff and food were both wonderful. It was such a pleasure to be at such a lively place after such a long stretch of confinement.
Wanted to enjoy a delicious meal before Pandemic stay at hone order in December.
From start to finish everything was wonderful as always. Look forward to when we can dine inside again in this beautiful restaurant !
Food is amazing and staff is like family. They have worked hard to keep up their high standards during the Pandemic.
Good food, great location and awesome service. Definitely a solid lunch spot.
Last night of outdoor dining before shut down and it was an incredible and safe experience from start to finish. Our waiter was very professional and did a great job. The food is amazing and high quality. Will definitely be back if it stays open
Probably one of the best if not the best meal I’ve had in my life! Loved every single thing I tried. Popovers, deviled eggs, pumpkin gnocchi, the fried chicken, burrata whipped potatoes, Mac and cheese! I was lucky enough to taste all of these. Every single thing was amazing!
Wonderful dinner outside. It was warm enough with the heat lamps and always good service!
Felted save at time of dinning, contactless ordering with great food selections. Great burger and wine selections with exceptional service as always.
Great staff, good food. Eating in the side alleyway is not that good, but they have done the best they could with Covid
Had a 4:45 PM reservation under the tented outdoor dining area. Started with the Mushroom flatbread and broccoli cream soup. Perfect! Then had the buttermilk crispy chicken that I had heard so much about with the side of mash potatoes. Could not finish the chicken, they give you about 5 large pcs. Wait Service was on top of their game! Parking is easy breezy...will be back again! Oh P.S. Finished the evening with the Pumpkin cheesecake that was the best ever! This place does not disappoint!! Hats off to the House Manager Bryan!
The food was amazing and the service was excellent. We were seated outside due to BS Covid-19 restrictions but still had a wonderful experience.
Nice outdoor space in the making
All three entrees were terrible. I have eaten there a lot and was surprised by this.
Chilly! But wonderful anyway. Food was still great, love the waitstaff, they’ve really done a great job through COVID.
Had a birthday celebration at Wayfare Tavern 2 nights before the dine-in rollback. Safety protocols in place which provided indoor dining confidence. Service was attentive and cordial. The house warm popover was delightful. The Caesar salad was crisp, the famous fried chicken deserved every compliment, the brussel sprouts were okay, and the house made donuts is a must to end the meal. Overall an excellent dining experience.
Food was great but service was terrible. Waited forever for drinks/menu/food orders. And it wasn't even busy! We sat inside instead of our original reservation outside because it was cold. Not sure I'd go back.
Loving the outdoor dining space -- thank you to Wayfare team for making it all work!
Thank you for accomodating us outside and being so attentive. :o)
Really good food. The burrata mashed potatoes are a must.
Great food and perfect seasonal presentation. Server was knowledgeable and efficient. Enjoyed the whole experience-Wayfare has maintained its quality through the pandemic
We ordered the hamburgers with a sunny side up egg and avocado. Unfortunately it was freezing in the restaurant, so much so that we ordered coffee to warm us up. The hamburgers came before the coffee. We ate fast since we didn’t want our food to get cold. The food was great, however we couldn’t figure out why the temperature inside was freezing. Due to the current health situation we give a lot of latitude, however service was mediocre at best and rather than enjoying our lunch we left as quick as we could since it was too cold.
Update your account with Open Table. You were listed as serving brunch and no brunch menu was available. Service was very slow.
Cold outside other wise delightful
It was cold and there were no quality heaters. Food became cold quickly; popups were hard; chairs were uncomfortable; service was intermittent
